I am in the exact same situation, and this issue is specific to P3Dv5, as P3Dv4 works just fine. Okay, last night I tried again with the Aerosoft A320 Pro in P3Dv5; after the loading process completed, the scenery appeared frozen, the audio would play, then cut out, followed by a CTD. I just purchased the A318/A319, and I experienced the same CTD. Still unsatisfied, I went ahead and bought the A330, exactly the same result: a CTD. In other words, the entire Aerosoft A-XXX Pro family is currently incompatible with P3Dv5. In P3Dv4, however, all those aircraft function perfectly. That is my experience, which I wanted to share. I certainly didn't buy these models just to have them sit in storage (lol).
I have followed the recommended troubleshooting steps, yet I continue to experience CTDs. These crashes occur *only* with Aerosoft aircraft; I do not encounter any CTDs with other aircraft developers, such as TFDi, PMDG, Captain Sim, etc.
So, what is the solution? Any suggestions on how to proceed?
