Our newest best friend Peter Faase has converted some real aviation databases to make the traffic in GATC far more realistic. There are now a whopping 704 airline files (was 112!) and the amount of aircraft files has grown from 83 to 134. That means that you will see a far greater variety of airlines at each airports and that chances of seeing an airline that does not belong at an airport are serious reduced. Hi, While playing GATC i came across a few Airline codes i did not know. My problem is that i want to know them. You can do 2 things then: open your browser on the other screen and everytime you see a new airline ICAO code type it in and search. That part is not only anoying, it's very distracting as well. Put a list in a text editor is the same. So i came up with making a small program where you type in the ICAO code of the Airliner and you get the Name, Callsign, IATA and Country back. When you are interested in a version let me know, perhaps Aerosoft can put it on their site.Offcourse this program is free of charge! Cheers, Peter

General Q: Can you use voice control? A: No, we decided against that in this release. The reason is rather benign, it works fine in Windows for English but is problematic for non-english speakers. All the other ATC simulators that do use it were tested in our offices (by Germans!) and we simply did not find it good enough, it was slow and inconsistent. Moin, ich habe mir damals Global Traffic für Xplane 11 gekauft. Das würde ich jetzt auch gerne in Xplane 12 verwenden, bekomme die installation jedoch nicht zu Stande. Ich muss den Installationspfad manuell einfügen. Also gehe ich im Installer auf die Festplatte, dann auf Steam und danach wird mir schon nichts mehr angezeigt. Wenn ich das Verzeichnis aus dem Xplane ordner kopiere, sagt mir der Installer, dass dies nach keinem Xplane- Verzeichnis aussieht. Danke für die Hilfe und eine angenehme Woche Gruß Freddy

Need to make Airway Route corridors of 5 nautical miles width (2.5 nm right and left side of the route)

Is there a way to change setting of alerts and warning so that alert / warning start when the distance between aircraft is less than 5 Nautical miles (not 3 Nautical miles).. And if there is no such setting.. Is it possible to guide me to which file from the installation files responsible for that to edit/modify it (if possible)

is there a way to make Traffic Warning (caution) at Less than 5 NM and not at 3 NM? as some airspace the separation minimum is 5NM

This program could be truly excellent but it seems its basically end of life, I never understand why developers make a half decent product that starts out with good support and several updates then dies. Perhaps it never hit the sales intended and its just not viable to spend any more time on. Personally I would rather pay for the feature improvements we all want to see so this can reach its potential rather than it just sits in the corner. Hi All Coming back to this after several years but one thing I just cant get my head around is how inbound aircraft just materialise inside the boundary of the sector, for example I have an inbound jet at say 20 miles coming from the south and all of a sudden another jet will just instantly appear on radar in front of this plane at 10 miles going direct to a fix, very unrealistic as far as i can tell Thanks Wayne

Hey, I am the developer of the Real World Database for GATC. I recently updated to Windows 11 and tried to install GATC to update and maintain my Database for the community. Unfortunately, I am not able to even install GATC. I am aware that GATC says that only Win 8 and 10 are supported. By any chance, is it possible to make it run on Win 11? I would really like to continue my work to make it as good as possible. Thanks in advance. Luca
