For those that have lost their product key, you can retrieve it at the below link providing PFPX was purchased after Jan 1st 2013.   https://getdpd.com/recover/key?id=14003   Liam

I have found a solution for those looking to renew server subscription.   https://flightsimsoft.dpdcart.com/   Not sure how much longer this will be up for so I'd get in quick.

Has anyone successfully reinstalled PFPX and TopCat using their saved installers? I’m thinking of the day my Dell laptop SSD might fail. Having said that I do make a backup of the actual disc

Sent you a PM George

Hello srcooke - I'm in the same boat as OP! I had to format Windows and now I can't activate either PFPX or Topcat. I also can't PM you because my account is too new... XD

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I too, am having an issue activating PFPX and TOPCAT!

Hi

I didn't get any response from flightsimsoft. I'm unsure if they will reply tbh. It's unfair they shut their site without given a alternative site to just download and active software we have purchased.

Hello everyone,
It's the same for me. I can't access their website to buy a new key.
What can we do? I need PFPX to make my home cockpit work.
Kind regards,

The online server remains functional at this time including the ability to activate the program.

For those with lost keys or seeking subscription renewal then I'm afraid it requires a response from Flightsimsoft.

You can continue to use PFPX using external weather sources ActiveSky or WX2PFPX  , Tracks can be copy/pasted from FAA sites NAT and Predifined Queries for PACOTS  having switched the track mode to manual.

Hello again, thanks already for your response, that's very kind. Then, how do I do it if I switch the route mode to manual?
Let's say I want to fly from Paris to Nice, what do I need to do?

For the example you would only require the weather, from the WX icon on the status bar setup the path to the "current_weather_snapshot" of ActiveSky or the WX2PFPX output location ( it generates the same file format as ActiveSky). Switch to ActiveSky mode and the currently generated file will be loaded.

Okay, actually, I just understood. Correct me if I’m wrong, the NATs are the NOTAMs? Can we find them on websites?

NATs are the Atlantic oceanic tracks, those and Pacific tracks are linked in my post above.

NOTAM's would have to be sourced externally, again the FAA site linked can be searched for those.

Thanks anyway for all this information, it has really helped me.

Kind regards,

Seems like the flightsimsoft isn't coming back anytime soon. My server subscription ended a couple of months ago and when I went to renew the site was down. Trying to make do with WX2PFPX in the meantime. Hopefully I can renew soon as its not quite the same.

I'm also trying to instal PFPX on a new(er) computer, but can't find the activation key email. It is installed on my old computer. Can the key be extracted from my computer's registration files?

Torben

Hello Torben,

I do not believe the registration details are located in the general PFPX registry locations and could not suggest where they are. They may even be generated locally to lock to hardware.

The activation server is certainly still available but obviusly requires the key, I can only suggest contacting FlightsimSoft directly.

Has there been any more development on this? My server subscription ran out a few days ago and want to renew also. I have emailed support. Has anyone been able to get a reply? I emailed support@flightsimsoft.com

I have found a solution for those looking to renew server subscription.

Not sure how much longer this will be up for so I'd get in quick.

I imagine the developer will eventually shut down the online server for good. Would be great if at that time those that wished to continue using online services could somehow contribute cost to keep a basic server running for this data.

I certainly would be keen to contribute significantly to keep this service running.

Be good to gauge interest on this as just getting Active Sky data fed into PFPX results in data like SIGMET, NOTAM, Multiple Forecasts etc being left out.
