Hi there everyone. Summer is almost over - and then not.... The weather is getting BETTER and regardless of any weather - Aerosoft has released a fantastic holiday scenery - the Heraklion... And we simply need to check this out. SO if you havent gotten your copy of Heraklion - DO it now, and join me in an online flight from Andras Field to Heraklion - and back, if we can stand to leave the beautiful place... Sunday August 19´th at 21.00 Andras Field time using FSX and Aerosoft´s gamespy server for Andras Field, and with teamspeak to ye-haa to eachother... Any plane will do, but I will fly Aerosoft´s Twin Otter. BE there.

Post you suggestions for places to fly to and different events you would like to see at Andras Field.

First off, You should check what runway is in use and announce that you are taxing to the runway D-EAAC is taxing to runway 09 Once your at the hold for the active runway D-EAAC is holding short runway 09 Check for any traffic landing or taking off, if all clear taxi onto the runway. If you going to fly ciruits/pattern announce so here, or if departing state direction D-EAAC is linging up runway 09 circuits or D-EAAC is linging up runway 09 departure to the south If clear tro take off then advance the throttle and take off. If your staying in the circuit climb on runway heading to 4000' (circuit hight) then commence your turn cross wind. See the pictur…

I've been thinking about somehting to have a bit of fun in and around Andras again, just to keep the ground staff there from dying of boredom. A couple of things came to mind - a trip around the sights of the area - castles, big houses and so on, or a slalom course through the Alps. Maybe someone could come up with a course and we see who can do it the quickest... What do you think? Any more ideas? It's S;ring in Europe now so the scenery should look very nice!

How are we going to make it without Gamespy. I know in the past I have flown online with my Dad by sharing my IP address. But if we want to meet up with Toby, to fly around the Netherlands how will we do it? It was convenient to use the FSX inbuilt Gamespy link, will we be forced into VATSIM or another Virtual ATC world? I liked the informality of our gatherings and hope another provider will step up and provide a similar service.

Of (a part of) the netherlands? We can use the freeware nl2000 scenery and, being from the netherlands, can offer you a nice tour. Aircraft of choice would be a SEP, nothing too fast. Any takers?

Haven't been to Andras for a bit of fun for a while - anyone up for a bit of warbird action this Sunday, about 19:30 BST? Time I tried out the multiplayer stuff again, i think.

Hello, okay, time for outing myself as one of the few people, who have never used FSX online I have been flying online in the Condor soaring sim quite a lot but never in FSX. My background is that I have been flying gliders in real life a long time ago, and with the glider I have not been flying in controlled airspace. In the sim I am also mostly interested in small GA aircraft and VFR flying. So my questions are: How will the online flying generally look like? Attention K-Mart shoppers! Matt Smith and myself, initiated a huge event in Andras Field earlier this year. A complete Fly around the world challenge. Matt did all the work on routing and all, while I chopped in with ideas, brought sponsors in with prizes for the bold pilots who did an effort. And since then, the RTWC as we call it, has been taken place. BUT we are getting to the end now. 6 pilots have made it all the way, and on the 18.th of December only one leg of flight will remain.Namely a short hop from Innsbruck to Andras Field - about 33 nm of flight. First, I wish to apologize if my question seems trivial or irritate anyone because it seems so simple. Nevertheless, I recently purchased Andras Airfield download package to see what all the buzz was about. I started flying Sims when it were merely wire like figures on an amber screen. It is amazing how far this hobby has come. Anyway, this is my question. I wish to access the online version of Andras Airfield. Exactly how do I do this? Hey people! i am new to the forum , i would like to ask you , how can i get in to the Andras meridin airline ive been trying to send applications but i get no answer back , can someone answer and give me an advise because i really want to join the VA. thanks! =)

I did this flight last night in a Seneca ant it takes just over an hour. Will also try to get ATC at both EAFS and EDLP. Remember you need to be using TeamSpeak 3 to get the benifit of ATC when flying online. Server details here
