Of course I looked at that option, but if people already balk about the uselessness of a cup of coffee, imagine what they think about this, lol.
To counter the whole idea that we are building a add-on full of gimmicks. It's not. We need to sell it to consumers and we believe they will enjoy the fact we allow them to fly the Airbus as a real pilot does, with a second person and with coffee. But behind all that is solid code that is being looked at for FTD Level 5 (generic) certification by several companies. Parts of the systems are already sold to training institutions.
We're currently writing the 5th tome, in the Legacy of the Airbuses.
It's an exciting and interesting story. You should really try reading through them all - it beats Lord of the Rings!
(Maybe Aerosoft should look into publishing these topics as a book-series someday?)
At this point I really want to say thanks for @Mathijs Kok and every person in his team for actually reading through all those posts, threads and everything else while completing the journey of the busses...
For the past weeks I have only been scanning through those pages in this forum and I am actually quite happy that I am just a costumer....
I am really glad to see your improvements and I think I can speak for quite a bunch of people who wish you guys all the best and no more bugs for your future work!
Keep up your happiness guys.
That actually would be pretty interesting. I'm picturing something like the newspapers from SimCity 2000, where it culls headlines from an online news source (or for that matter probably any website) of the user's choosing, settable from some config entry. Maybe even some "click spot" hyperlinks to open your browser to the actual article if you really wanted to make that paper useful. An idea for a bored programmer for a future service pack.
