All questions about how the aircraft flies. Please post only one issue per post so we can follow up, do not post a list of question!

  1. Hi. During the RNAV runway 28 approach into YBRY the aircraft didn't slow down enough or for that matter didn't go into FINAL APP mode which was fine, thus I conducted a go around, everything went fine. Because of the terrain near by I needed to perform a certain VIA (BRYYEG) so instead of allowing the aircraft to fly its approach it wanted to, I wanted to re-select the app by doing that in the MCDU. The fix BRYEG appeared blank and the aircraft didn't want to fly the approach via it. The approach part appeared as a straight in app. So I try'd it again, this time however even though it was in the MCDU the aircraft didn't seem to care about the altitudes in there, theref…

If the FPS drops for a second below 15, the Airbus flight model goes nuts for a while. If new clouds or weather is implemented the FPS can drop for 1 to 5s below 15. While this the Airbus get out of control in Autoflight. He dives, climbs or rolls like crazy. I do not have this with any other airplane like PMDG, FSLABS or something else. It would be nice if you can review this.

Team, After years of enjoying the Airbus X, I'm really struggling to enjoy this new version. Specially, I'm having troubles with the aircraft take off profile; after acceleration height, I place the throttle into the climb detent and watch the aircraft enter a 4 - 5000 fpm climb, which quickly bleeds speeds. The result is the aircraft entering Alpha Floor protection; I can avoid the situation by toggling on/off the autopilot; however, this isn't realistic and/or desirable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Matt

I am not sure if my confusion is expressed here in the correct forum, but I would like to ask anyhow and perhaps someone will point me in the correct direction. I do not know which specs are correct for the A3xx Pro series and my attempt to get PFPX and Topcat to agree with the weights and fuel as shown in the step-by-step tutorial page 23. Can someone please help me? Can you point me to any documentation, videos etc? Please move to the correct forum if I am posting in the wrong forum. Thanks Dom

  7. As there were a few topic that seem to be related we decided to make one topic so we can try to understand what is causing this. Let's start with what we know. We have 21 people on file that reported this (that far below one promille of users) 3 have not replied to our attempts to get more info 9 have reported their issue solved 2 by using correct procedure 1 by making sure FPS was high enough 6 by re-installing the sim. Leaving 10 users who still face this (likely there are some more that have not been in contact with us We are unable to recreate this reliab…

Hi, mid flight between LCLK and EDDF a321. aircraft decided it wanted to go into cold and dark mode. All systems shut off, aircraft became a glider without warning. 2 mins later, all systems came back up, but all MCDU data was deleted, engines came back on but my flightplan was gone. Help?!

Not sure where I should be saving my flight plans for the Airbus Professional. I have my flight plans saved in E:\flightplans. When I try to load a flight plan in the Airbus FMS it says "Not in database" Any idea what I am doing wrong? And does the Flightplan have to be saved with a two digit number like the old one. ie. "KLGAKCLT01" ???? Thanks Walt

I'm having an issue with the reverse thrust. They won't engage until my EPR is under 1.020. My throttles are in perfect idle and can't understand why this is? Any thoughts?

Hello I'm unable to disconnect autopilot by pressing a button on my joystick (like the disconnect button on real stick). I tried with FSUIPC and "Autopilot off" command. But didn't work. What can I do? Thanks

  17. Hello, as often described, the Aerosoft Airbus Professional is climbing way too fast. It's almost like on three engines instead of two. It doesn't feel realistic for me at all this way. I will make a comparison. I took off with the A321 IAE in Frankfurt to Hamburg with a take off weight of about 71t (6.4t fuel, 188 pax, 2.2t cargo) and CI 30. While the real A321 climbed to 21.200 ft within 10 minutes, I was already at final 32.000 ft. That's a huge difference and means an average climb rate of 3200ft/min up to FL320! I can just recommed to all report this, because it already has been an issue with the A319 and hasn't been improved so fa…

  18. Hey Guys, I have updated the Aerosoft A320/321 to the newest update tonight. However, after doing a testflight I have experienced a strange behaviour. Take-Off in ACE (GCRR) with Thrustlevers in TO/GA position. At this point, the "A/THR" pusbutton illuminates in green on the MCP. After Take-Off, Gear Up and acceleration I have moved the thrustlevers to Idle. At this point, the "A/THR" button is still illuminated. When pushing the throttles then forward from idle to a certain powerset, nothing happens. Engines still remain in idle position. Pushing the "A/THR" button on the MCP enables me to move the throttles again and engine…

I'm running Airbus Professional v1.1.0.1 in Prepar3D v 4.2.21.24048 on Windows 10 Pro. When I request WINDS in the FMS the following happens. Following the Step-by-Step guide, in INIT A I enter the CO RTE value as FRALHR1, EGSS into the ALTN, Enter the IRS INIT page confirm the current position, Enter the FLT NBR. I then press LSK4R to access the CLIMB WIND page, LSK1L has [ ] o / [ ] / [ ] against it and wind REQUEST* against LSK3R. I press LSK3R and I get five rows of - - - / - - - / - - - - for a few seconds then it goes back to the initial [ ] o / [ ] / [ ] against LSK1L again. Same thing happens on…

Evening All, Currently en-route to FUE from LGW and i've had nothing but issues when i come off the flight sim screen. When i have returned to the screen at various phases during the flight i have been welcomed by the aircraft trying to do a barrel roll, as well as pitch up to the extent where the aircraft climbs in excess of 7000fpm as well as pitch down at the same rate. My specs (albeit poor) are as follows: Operating System Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 CPU Intel Core i3 2120 @ 3.30GHz 79 °C Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology RAM 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24) Motherboard …

  22. Started by Dadriel,

I'm trying to manually enter a descent speed for the DES phase of the flight. Unfortunately I can't find documentation on how to enter these number in the MCDU and if I try to enter them in a way that makes sense to me I get an "OUT OF RANGE" error message. You can see that in the attached picture. So does the 'Bus actually support this? And if so, what format does it take to enter it correctly?

  23. Hello, on every flight I made, the new A319 warns me "SPEED SPEED SPEED ..." when on final approach and when I reduced the speed to final approach speed. The approach calculation was made, all data have been inserted and the computer calculates an approach speed of 117kt. When I use this speed and even up to 125kt the warning is there. Only if I increase the speed to about 127kt, so 10kt more than calculated, the warning stops. When I fly the 117 kt the orange band on the speed display is moving into the current speed. So it seems that the calculated speed is wrong and therefore the warning is created. When flying 117kt as given, the pitch attitude…

I understand that this has already been asked and solved but I struggled to follow how it was fixed, and as the thread is locked I had to make a new one. But basically I put the A321 into Managed mode for NAV and It simply does not follow the path. Please help
