  1. Started by Rudders,

Last couple of flights have gone to change things in the FMGC (just pressing a button) and it crashes the sim. Latest was a A319 CFM out of KPSP and wanted to do a short cut, LS new waypoint, then it crashed. The program Prepar3D.exe version 4.4.16.27077 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel. 3. Started by maxro,

In my last couple of flights with the A319, the A320 and the A321 I have changed views from the virtual cockpit to the locked outside view. When I "spawn" in the outside view, the plane becomes so unstable that in one flight, I lost 10000 feet in a couple of minutes, maybe 2, which leads to a massive FPM of -5000. The wings bank from left to right, the airplane dives and ascends. This isn't turbulence, as I can recreate this issue by going to the VC (and waiting until it "calms down") and switching back. The airplane flies normally once in the VC. As a temporary fix, I am not switching to the outside locked view. At time of writing, I am on the e…

The current cost index seems to be way off of how you would expect it to be.There isnt much change throughout different cost indexes. I have attached screenshots in the A321 which I believe it is the same thoughout the other buses. Sorry it was dark in my sim at the time of the screenshots. I believe it starts too high at a cost index of 1. I may be entirely wrong but I figured I would ask the question. Is this correct operations or no?

Hi, I open a new topic regarding this because this topic got lost within other managed speed topics time ago, I can not remember which one. So, some updates ago, the FLEX temp on IAE was working fine as the CFM does with data from http://wabpro.cz Now, numbers higher than the default MCDU flex temp leads the aircraft not to apply the correct thrust but a much lower thrust. (only IAE) If I recall correctly, the problem exists since the IAE climb profile/drag was changed. Are there any news on this? Thank you

  6. Started by Querer,

Hi all, I recently did a flight into LEMD where ProATC/X initially told me that I have to expect a visual runway 36 approach. As I prefered a ILS runway 32L approach, I programmed my FMS as such and used one of the provided STARs for ILS 32L. Upon decent, I then requested from ProATC/X to have 32L approach, ProATC/X acknowledged it and told me to use an STAR to ILS 32L which was different to the one I already entered into the FMS. I was then not able (simply due to the fact that I did not HOW TO) to change the already selected STAR in the FMS to another STAR procedure. I tried temporarily selecting another STAR for RWY 32R and then the correct one for RWY 32L,…

  7. Started by maxro,

The A321 doesn't hold its speed during cruise, even tough it is in managed mode. See screenshot.

  8. Started by Mickey4673,

All 4 (318, 319 ,320, 321 Prof) busses are loosing the managed speed after different time of flying and the bus is reducing the speed down to 108, 114 kts for example. I tried to solve the problem by reinstalling all 4 busses severall times but the issue is still there. It worked fine before the last update.

  9. I was very surprised today ! when entering a flight plan in th Airbus A 320 FMS from LHBP to LOWW, the FMS do not have LOWW airport in its database !!!! how is it possible ?? picture joined

Hey, i have still some bugs with the a320 and new bugs after the newerst update (1.2.2.1) First bug is the ECAM. This bug was on 1.2.2.0 already and ist too on 1.2.2.1. sometimes but quite often on a320 and a319 etc. is the T.O Config not working. I do all procedures with checklist and all is filled in right in the mcdu sometimes the T.Config is just not working then you area ready with taxi checklist and you pressed auto brake max and after that t.o config nothing happening. The secound bug is new on the 1.2.2.1 and was not on the 1.2.2.0.( i belive that is a bug) The MCDU dont calculate the optimal cruising alittude anymore even then i have all fill in route fuel etc. i…

  11. A question regarding the Vnav descent profile of the busses (RW and Aerosoft) when descending through 10000 ft with 250kt speed restriction: When approaching 10000 ft on a managed descent the bus will correctly pitch up in order to slow down to meet the 250 kts restriction. However it seems that this shallower portion of the descent is not taken into account in advance in the calculated descent profile because the magenta dot will continue dropping, making it always impossible to stay on the vertical path without using speedbrakes at this point... Is this how the real bus does it? From my experience as a A320/A319 realworld passenger I would say it is not..…

  12. Don't know if this is a bug or not. Have seen this many times. Harold

  13. just a question regarding the managed descent behaviour because I am a bit lost right now Some time ago you posted a tweaked "Airbus_ECAMD2D.dll" file to improve the descent profile... At which point are we right now with that? I still have many times issues with "chasing the magenta dot" and beeing forced to use speedbrakes throughout main parts of the descent in order to stay on the path. I suppose this dll got overwritten with the last updates meanwhile. So , could that file still be used now or is it perhaps default part of the current version...or is the issue in general still being worked on...?? thanks for a short clarification

  14. Started by Meyerflyer,

I'm recently experiencing this DING sound upon levelling off at top of climb. When the [ALT*] is highlighted it can be heard one time. Sometimes during descent at about FL140 (depending on what I do at this moment) the sound that also comes on when disconneting the autothrust can be heard. That's only since upgrading to the professional bus. Maybe these two are little bugs. The first problem has been reported by other customers. I think these are the same issues.

  15. HI I just update my buses to 1.2.1.5, A321 IAE seems still has some problem, 1: the calculated VLS is too small, leads to drop during final approach if I use the VAPP calculated by the MCDU. 2: The fuel calculation is always wrong, after I insert the flightplan and all the other informaion to the MCDU, the calculated EFOB is a negative number, ( about - 1.5 ton) but after I take off and go for about 20 minutes, the EFOB becomes normal, ( about 5 tons), the difference is too large.

Hello i believe that i had a problem to submit my new TOPIC few minutes ago. So i test today a flight with RNAV approach. It seems that the problem is globally solved but i have a question : i set the approach phase on the FMS and all is good to the IF point (3100ft) in managed mod (TRACK-FAP, APPR green). But when i continue the plane don't follow the slope to the next point R408 at 2000ft. I must change the altitude managed to 2000 to keep the V/DEV valid. After this manually correction the managed mode works again. Is it normal, or there is always a small bug ? I upload the approach map (SCAN PDF) and the pictures. Thank you for replies. Scan.pdf

  17. Hello simmers, Several times, with ILS landing, at the beginning of the runway, my throttle gives suddenly much power so, that when I'm at 50 ft the speed already 240 kts is. What can that be?? Anyone with an answer? With kindly regards Joop

  18. Hello, I'm in the descent and need to lower the speed let's say from 320kt to 250kt. As I descend at a high rate, I need to deploy the speed brakes manually to help decreasing the speed to target. But the speed brake still out message with according "DING" sound comes up way before the target speed is reached. Mostly at about 20-30kt before target speed, so in this case already at 270-280kt. Is that as designed? I would expect, that the message and DING sound only come up, when the exact target speed is reached to avoid higher fuel burn when the engines start to spool up to compensate the higher drag. I see no reason to show the message 30kt before…

  19. Started by MiHei,

I'll try to keep this as concise as possible, yet hopefully provide enough information. To make a long story short with the advent of the latest experimental update 1.2.1.3, subject line aircraft will not take off properly from anywhere. Seems under powered when I set MAN-FLEX, barely lifts off, and then plummets to the ground. This does not occur when I reinstall 1.2.1.1.

Hi, i flown today A320 CFM v 1.2.1.5 and i noticed that everytime i push CLB button during climb i hear one master caution sound "ding" and see ECAM message "speed brake is still out" for less then a sceond. The same situation is when i reach cruise altitude - one caution ding and short message on ECAM. Regards.

I am still having issues with speed control; fortunately, managed mode during the climb phase seems to have been solved with the latest release (thank you!). However, when the aircraft reaches cruise altitude, the speed now drops to green dot, which forces me to take the AT out of managed mode and use 'mach.' Any suggestions? I'm really starting to get frustrated with the AT; the prior rendition worked flawlessly; yet, this version has been plagued by multiple issues. Again, I know you're working hard on the bugs and this certainly doesn't make the aircraft 'un-flyable'; it is, however, a significance annoyance. Also, the aircraft never seems to reach cruise altitud…

Hi guys, at the current version 1.2.2.0 you changed the climb profile as mentioned at the changelog. Unfortunately you changed a little bit too much. The climb rate above FL240 should even with max ZFW still around 1000ft/min for CFM and 800ft/min for IAE At the current version above 240 the busses are climbing with aprox 400-500ft/min. A middle between the old one and the current value would be fine. Best regards Artox

Hello, I decided to do some comparison testing to perhaps find where some strange things begin to happen. I have a single flight plan with a single loadsheet that was used for each of the successive flights. I am using the latest experimental build 1.2.2.0 and updater version 1.2.1.0 I used the standard American Airlines A319. I used the same options MCDU settings for each and proceeded with a full managed flight for each using copilot. Here are the raw details of the flight inputs: Loadsheet 132;3300.00;6211.73;84;0;20.8;0.8;39725;54113.00;5711.73;59781.40;58170.19; [CoRte] (KMIAKTPA01.flp) ArptDep=KMIA Arpt…

  24. A319 Installed version: 1.2.1.3. If I take off and climb to final FL without any intermediate altitude holds, managed climb, cruise, and descent speeds work exactly as expected with no problems or requests for "Set Managed Speed". However, if there is an altitude constraint that the a/p levels at and then at a later time the final climb is called for by dialing in the altitude and left-clicking, the managed speed displayed is significantly below what it should be. If left alone, the a/c will get into a stall condition. Below are comments on the attached images. _4 - level at 5,000 ft managed speed mode 250 kts …

Hello, i don't know exactly if that problem was already indicated. I create a flight with an A320 -232 IAE, and i noticed that it was impossible to get the speed managed during the climb , and when i reach the cruise altitude the engine shut down ! Somebody has the same problem ? Is the problem known ? Thanks for replies.
