Shalom and greetings all, The April Screenshot Contest will focus on celebrating the recent release and debut of Aerosoft's newly released A340-600 Professional. Compliance for this month's contest is simple! The screenshot MUST contain any variant of the A340 - 600/500/300/200, the aircraft must be in motion and or there is some action taking place with the aircraft which includes images of the aircraft during pushback, taxiing, takeoff roll, in-flight, configured for landing, and landing - there MUST be some sort of visible motion. Providing context for the image may add to the creativity for the scene being captured. Entries for the A340 can either be freeware or …

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Since @kroswyndand the Aerosoft management are too busy with their festive holiday celebrations, I thought I would help them by creating this two month screenshot contest as seen on the subject heading. The theme is NASTY SNOWSTORM. There are TWO specific rules regarding the nasty snowstorm theme. If a plane is on airborne, the plane must be accompanies by heavy snowing. If a plane is on ground, the plane must be accompanied by BOTH heavy snowing and lots of snow on airport ground. When @kroswyndcomes back from holiday celeibration, I hope he would accept my idea and use authorized pin fu…

Many of you are may be aware that the forums have gotten an update and in so doing the standardized way of posting images has changed a bit - BBCode will no longer work as it once used to. There are many image hosting sites. I personally prefer to use Flickr as it allows me several options for various projects. However, you will notice that the use of the following format [img] [/img] will no longer post your image E.g. [img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50576467207_0624cd3b9a_k.jpg[/img] ---- Does not work 2. Simply posting the link of the image may, or may not always work either. In the case that it does not work there is another method that wi…

Shalom and greetings all my pals, As all of you know that huge numbers of bush planes, helicopters, and twin propeller planes used PABE Bethel airport to run round trip relief aid flights between the airport and many many tiny or villages with tiny airports to drop off much needed supplies, to pick up wounded citizens affected by the natural disaster called Typhoon Halong, and to evacuate any survivors. That got me thinking. The PABE Bethel airport has good runway distance enough for big jets to fly supplies from PANC or PAFA to PABE and pick up survivors to fly back WITHOUT REFUELING to the two mentioned big cities. BUT BUT BUT the problem is that PABE Bet…

Good evening. Sorry for my late answer. But that's were our conversation stopped a couple of weeks ago. You: I'm sure you don't misunderstand me, we share the p3dv4.5 platform, I don't think that we misunderstand us. I'm here almost as long as you, 15 years by the end of this month. And I am VERY sure that the combination of Randazzos LH-B744 in combination with our beloved p3dv4.5 platform was not always allowed in Shaun Fletcher's screenshot contests. Or, let's rather say, the name Randazzo gained more respect since Mathijs Kok has left aerosoft... So, new times here at Aerosoft? I really a…

Hello fellow aviation enthusiasts and virtual photographers, I'm in the planning stages of building a new PC dedicated entirely to flight simulation and, most importantly, capturing the highest quality screenshots possible. We all know the struggle of balancing ultra settings, complex add-ons, and a stable framerate to get that perfect, crisp shot. While most gaming advice focuses on high-frequency CPUs, I'm looking at a different path: a used workstation with a Xeon 24 Core 2.6GHz processor. My theory is that raw single-core speed gets you high FPS, but a massive number of cores could revolutionize the screenshot workflow. I'd love to hear your thoughts on…

Well. This is a forum section which I've invented tonight, a little bit with MTV 'Guess the year' in mind. I love 'Guess the year', and everytime I watch it, I'm quite sucessful. Now, this is 'guess the airport', and an hour ago I thought, no clues . But that would be unfair, 'Guess the year' always gives you a clue, namely the complete music video, without singer, without song title . So, let me give you a clue. This picture originated with the help of orbx, but you can't buy it. Which airport is it? PS: There's another contest here on this platform, which is renewed every 4 weeks. Which …

I started the Dortmund EDLW airport project last year. But he did not announce it. Wanted to do some work. Also, I wanted to alpha test the project, hear feedback from testers and move on. So, my new project for MSFS is Dortmund Airport. There is a free Dortmund project for MSFS that Christian did. It's a great project, but it's a bit out of date. Regarding compatibility. The airport will not be directly compatible. It is clear. But, I will not make a city. Therefore, the city of Dortmund that Christian made will be compatible with my project. There is also a paid project of the airport Dortmund from the developer ARIMA. It is also a good project,…
