I have tried looking while running the bit test and during supersonic flight. but I never see any movement of the ramps. are they modeled or am I missing something?

Hi, I'm just getting into the F-14 Extended in P3D V4. I didn't get a chance to use it in P3D V3 as I had purchased it just before moving over to P3D V4. Now that I've had some time to do some training and familiarization flying I'd like to make a comment on the Transonic effects on both the VSI and Altimeter. It would appear that this transonic modeling is quite exaggerated in my experience. Both the VSI and Altimeter fluctuate wildly between about 0.91 and 1.1 Mach. Hi All, Was so pleased to be able to fly the fantastic F-14X release again, and in a lot of regards is a significant improvement over what I remember it to be. Frames are up from 30 -35 now to 40 - 50(on a 4K monitor now!), and everything seems to work. I really like as well the new throttle sounds for moving in and out of afterburner and closing the throttles. These aspects are very minor but it would be good to verify that I'm not alone on this: 1. When I press shift + 8 the sim closes abruptly. I will check this again to make sure it is not an isolated case however. 2. In the FSUIPC lua for parameters 283 and 284, the PDF file lists them the wr…

Good evening, I fly the F-14B, I have searched and have been unable to find the solution to making the lantirn work. I turn it on, set up ATTK, get the IR screen up, hit CTRL+F and move the joystick control input displaying (Vol. 6 P18, #6). At this point I have my target, and when I press the trigger to lase the target and the L begins to flash. But i have no TTR information. I have tried using the G100 MFD CRSR key bind but to no avail either. The manual is very vague and I am having a heck of a time trying to get this to work. Dear all, I need your help pleas, I have an issue with the radar monitor of RIO (picture below). I just installed the F-14 X on my computer. (Windows 7 - 64) Is it an installation problem? Somebody already saw that? I can't see the radar but there is the FSX symbol in a blue screen. I have a question more, all switch and button are usable in the cockpit Pilot and RIO? Hi guys, I am a little bit frustrated. I don´t know, if I do something wrong, or I have bad installation in FSX Steam or I don´t know. 1. I have no options for carrier mision in the Free flight Load menu/ maybe how I can start the carrier on? 2. Where can I find keys map for F-14 /f.e. Hi, I followed all the instructions, paused before saving, set "simonground=False", it's all fine, except I spawn behind the carrier, parked in the air, not where I saved it! I'm trying to edit the mission file to move it 20-30 seconds earlier (when the carrier was still there), but I'm not sure which line to edit and how? Any ideas please? Thanks

I'm fortunate that the throttles are working well for me with the new F-14X Extended and am loving the sim. I'm wondering about my meatball visibility though. I'm running P3D v3.1 (will eventually get to v3.2) and am finding that the ball is not at all visible at 0.7-0.8 NM (by TANCAN) when I should be "calling the ball". It's not until about 0.4 NM that I see the ball. I think I see the green bar, but it get's brighter at 0.4 NM, so I'm wondering if I'm just seeing the unlit lights. I thought I had a couple screen shots to show from my flying session, but it seems they didn't take. I'm settling down for the night, but will try to actually get screen shot…

Hi, I really enjoy landing on carrier, it´s one of the hardest that I ever tried on the sim flying. That´s why I tried to find real squadrons landing grades board. I found these pictures, and what is interesting is the different grade rating like in vLSO FSX. Does anybody know how it works in real? In vLSO manual is: you must have 3.0 rating for professional safety. Thanks

Hallo, ich habe mir nach langen Zaudern dieses Teil gekauft und muss sagen, dass mich einiges nicht überzeugt. Vor allem bin ich über die schlechte Steuerbarkeit der F-14 auf der Kitty Hawk überrascht. Man kann die Maschine kaum steuern. Auf dem engen Raum sollte die Maschine wie in echt auch herumfahren können, aber das ist absolut mühsam. Nehme ich eine Freeware (trägerfähig) dann geht das bestens, warum nicht mit der F-14? Auch das Texturen laden ist wirklich nicht sehr toll, obwohl mein Rechner gut ausgestattet ist. Finde es auch witzig das man die Engine bei 100% Military Thrust testen soll und dann schiebt es die Mühle schon nach einer Sekunde davon und fä…

I've moved to P3D, everything works great except for the of spoilers with ground roll braking switch active (both anti skid+spoilers, spoilers). With WoW and thrust idle (0%) I click on the anti skid switch, immediatly the spoilers are deployed, then retracted when throttle input is applied, after this cycle the spoilers won't deploy anymore. Simconnect was reinstalled, no changes... What should I try for debug this behaviour? Little O.T.: external texture loading is slower than in FSX, it takes almost six seconds. Best regards. Enrico

I have followed the tutorial video and manual, but no matter which carrier I use (Kitty Hawk, Nimitz etc.) They are not linked to the f-14. After takeoff, the panel always shows "voice" never "landing check" My Tacan is correct because I get the ILS bars. Can anyone explain what I'm missing? Bill C.

Hey, yesterday I reinstalled the F-14 Tomcat Package for FSX. Everything went very smoothly. As I was just about to start a flight a messagebox came up telling me, that the "model can not be displayed". Closing the box caused a crash of FSX. I already de- and reinstalled FSX as well as the addon. Furthermore I have installed all FSX Service Packages. I'm using Windows 10 but I never had any problems with that. So, if you got a solution or hint on how to fix this please let me know. Thanks max

Nachdem ich die F14 jetzt endlich zum laufen gebracht habe - ist echt mühsam hier jedesmal alle WOAI Traffic Files löschen zu müssen - habe ich ein Problem mit der Steuerung... Gleich nach dem Takeoff funktioniert alles einwandfrei - Flugzeug lässt sich rollen usw. alles kein Problem... aber nach ein paar Minuten Steigflug geht das nicht mehr.... wenn ich seitlich rollen möchte dann kippt das Flugzeug max. bis 90° - dann ist es aus... Looping detto... keine Chance.... Hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem mit der Maschine?

Is there any way to improve FLOLS visibility in P3D? This topic was already mentioned but still no answer. Current visibility is just 0.4NM. However default P3D carrier FLOLS is visible from about 1NM. Is there any way how to add same light effect which is in default FLOLS to CV63 FLOLS?
