Hello everybody. I desperately need your help. I installed the latest version of the Aerosoft F-14X Tomcat. I use P3D V3. I've got a problem with the flaps. In virtual cockpit mode I cannot move the flaps handle. Neighter by any mouseclick nor by the keys (F5-F8 default). I watched some videos on YouTube. In these videos the handles can be moved by the pilot and when moved one can hear a sound. I can try what ever I want. The flaps (handle and flaps itselves) are stuck in one position, the "up" postition and I can hear no sound. I tried it in "cold & dark" starting mode, and in "engines running" mode. The flaps cannot be moved in any type …

Hello, I just bought the Aerosoft F14X Box on Amazon. I installed the plane in the P3D Folder. After I activated the product online (what worked fine) I tried to download the Update File at the Aerosoft Download Center. There I'm asked to enter the Key again, but the Site tells me, that the key is wrong. No Access granted. Anyone who can tell me how to download the update file? Thanks in advance!

Does anybody have wake like this? I have Prepar3D v3.4 and Windows 10. I think I didn't have any wake in front of the ship when I had Windows 7 installed. Is this normal behavior?

Whenever i load the f14 for a flight nearly all the weapons are loaded by default. i'm unable to clear all stores or select/deselect other weapons using the manager. I already tried a reinstall, but that did not help. I'm using P3D v2.4

All my traps using the new version of VLSO are "NESA", therefore graded (OK). Otherwise spot on, never low, never fast, etc... I just don't know how NOT to get a NESA. I understand it's all about flying straight on the downwind leg? I fly more than 1 NM ahead of the carrier before I break, and then I start my final turn 1.2-1.3 NM abeam, well after real pilots do. Does it want me to fly back 2-3 NM or what? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks

I own and have flown 100s of A/C in FSX including the VRS Superbug and several in real life as a pilot. I have read everything in this forum and other sources. I have watched a video of an ACLS approach for the F14X a dozen times and attempted to fly the ACLS approach a couple of dozen times without success. I have landed successfully manually each time. I start out with a launch and fly downwind heading about 15-18 miles at 4000 feet. 1. Speedbrake out .....slow turn toward localizer with the approach gauge on. 2. Is there any way to turn off the view of the pilot joystick? I'd like to do this for instrument approaches and navigation en route because the joystick blocks your view of the HSI. The only way I have found to do this is to select A/A mode but then the HSI loses all of its navigation info when you do that. Thanks. v6, boNes

SOmetimes while flying I find things like I never get an ILS needle even though it's tuned to the ILS frequency (I used the Cessna radio stack to do it). ALso when I tune the NAV radio on the stack, the ACTIVE frequency changes, not the standby one. I have turned off nosewheel steering but the light stays on in the canopy frame light on the left. What is the position of manual flaps during flight? I have the retracted when I take off but as I fly slow I can hear them automatically positioning. Is this normal? At another point, I am unable to zoom out my view. FLying with my face directly in the canopy frame is kind of hard, haha. …

Questions as I go through the shift 2 checklist: START -After you bring the right throttle to idle per the checklist, the next step is to check the R Eng Caution Lights. R GEN OFF/R FUEL PRESS OFF. Shouldn't there be a step after R Throttle to idle to flip the right master generator off so that the R GEN light turns off? -Then for the R Eng instrument check, I can't seem to get it to recognize tha5t I checked it except to bump the throttle a little bit to get a response from the RPM/EGT/FF tapes. Is this correct? -Then again with the L Throttle to idle--shouldn't the next step be to turn the left master generator off then check the L GEN lam…

When I follow the shift 2 checklist and turn the master test to Mach Lev the engines spool up and the plane wants to roll. I hit the brakes to stop it, but there is no step in the checklist to take it out of mach lev and so I end up holding the brakes all the way through until take off with 83% spooled up engines. Is this correct? I've been disobeying the checklist to turn off the mach lev to get it to spool down, but didn't know if that's correct. What's the point of mach lev anyway? I've been flying around with this add-on and doing a cold and dark startup and using the shift-2 checklist to walk through each step. I've read through the manual but am confused as to what it is trying to say on page 4 for some of the controls. For instance, in the Sweep Input Override section at the bottom, what is meant by "Concorde Nose Visor (0), (1), (2), and (3)? Then in the section below that is "Concorde Nose Visor (FSX Key Event Interaction)--what is that for? What is Concorde Nose set to 0, -1, +1, and 3 mean? Then it says "unassigned" afterwards? This story came across my email and I thought not only was it a good read, but also something I would like to try in FSX via the mission system or just give myself an engine failure. Starting to get into some of the missions that come with F14X. How do you lock up targets in radar? with extended you can now use the rio stick. cant find the fsx default keys for it. I see it in advanced using setup but i dont have FSUIPC. When I was able to lock up a target.I switch to TCS but i get a black screen. i can see the green behind but it's like a black square blocking the screen. I dont have tacpack but i still should be able to locked up targets right? Also is there a plan to have a working TARPS pod?

Is there any way to make the NWS tighter? The turning radius is absolute garbage and it’s basically impossible to move around the carrier deck. Is there a way to increase the steering input? I’ve used the VRS Superbug and that allows you to have an extra "NWS High" setting for carrier decks. I wasn't sure if there was anything similar for the F-14. ???

Wanted to check on two things regarding the Kitty Hawk v2.2 in P3D v3.4. First, have any updates or work been done on the FLOLS meatball being visible outside of 0.4NM? The new FLOLS is great, but not being able to call the ball at 3/4NM is disappointing. Second, any updates to the night deck lighting in P3D? It seems the deck lights are barely visible at night, is this a known issue that is being worked? Thanks so much for the help!

Hi all, I have recently started to get back into flight sim after taking some time off for various life events and decided that I would start taking it seriously (reading through manuals and such). I was reading about the saved flights for the F -14 and was wanting to give them a shot. I powered up FSX and went to the load flights and the only files located there are from previous flights I saved and a couple of the PMDG flights that installed with that. I run FSX through Steam because the old box version bugged out on me way to often and I didn't know if there was anyone who had issues with getting the saved flights to show up in the load menu or knows what m…

Hello forum! I bought the F-14 Tomcat X a while back and I just started to actually fly it. What drives me nuts is the autopilot. As far as I understood the Tomcat lacks an autopilot like I´m used to from other aircrafts like commercial planes. Instead I try to understand how it´s working but I don´t get it. So the simple question: How can I make the Tomcat fly into one direction for an hour without having it to course-correct every few minutes? What I understand is to arm the "Heading" and "Height" switch and then engage the autopilot main switch. But the Tomcat hardly holds heading and height. I have used the F-14 in the past with FSX. However, I just installed P3D V3.4.14.18870 and the newest version of F-14X along with the newest version of FSUIPC4 (paid). That being said, the wing sweep, flaps, throttle movement in the VC do not work. I can move the emergency sweep handle, but the wings do not move. Also, the stores are populated fully, and the external visual model shows every external store on the aircraft. Thanks for your help.

I always thought "Mil power" was max power without afterburners. In the Tomcat, however, the "Mil power" mark on the throttle is well below this, at around halfway of the slider. I can give more power without lighting the burners. Also, the speed brake should close at mil power, which it doesn't do when the throttle passes the mark, only when I increase it to max power without afterburner. Is this correct? Or is just the mark on the throttle off?
