F-14 Tomcat

Was running F14X 2.02 in P3Dv3.4.22.19868 with some repaints from Groomlake site without issue. After updating to the F14 Extended 3.00 the same repaints fail to show at all. Any ideas? Im guessing its something to do with the difference in how each F14 installer places files in P3Dv3.

Added some additional textures to the F-14 but they aren't showing within P3Dv3.4.22.19868 All the default ones show correctly. I added the new ones to their perspective folders along with the Aircraft.cfg entries as well. Nothing shows in the preview window and when attempting to start flight in on I'm greeted with....failed to load error window. All the default ones work. WTH. I noticed the installer created a folder within my P3D root folder... (E: Prepar3D v3) F14 Extended within that folder are: Aerosoft Effects Fonts Gauges SimObjects Textures Is this correct?

Hey guys I need help on one more thing i bought the Aerosoft F-14X and I can’t stop stalling the aircraft, I can’t pull up quickly if I need to and a can’t make sharp quick banks and turns because if I do the jet stalls out and enters a flat spin. Even the banking is very very slow to respond. What do I do????

So I've been noticing lately that no matter what I change my payload to, when I look at my Tomcat from an external view it is always carrying a JDAM and some other ordnance, and not even the ordnance that I did load. IN the cockpit though, the stores are correct. So I think it's just a graphics bug...but has anyone experienced this and is there a fix? v6, boNes

Hello, I have this product since released and I´ve never had problems to install ,but this 3.00 version is driving me crazy... It asks : "Please select a folder to save the Scenery Data.To install to this folder ,click next.To install to a different,click Browse and select another" Scenery Data ??? I tried the default pointed C:\Myaddons ?!?, i didn´t work.. then I tried the default P3D directory.. I didn´t work... Jesus, do I have to manually copy those folders from Aerosoft folder to P3D ?? If so what´s the purpose of an installer? Thanks for any input, Hamilton

Hallo zusammen, im Handbuch steht auf Seite 4-1--6, dass man die Autopilot-Funktionen aktiviert, indem man den Nose Wheel Steering Button drückt. Aber wo findet man den? Das ist nirgendwo erläutert, und beim Überstreichen diverser Schalter und Buttons mit der Maus wird er auch nirgendwo angezeigt. Auf Seite 7-1-3 leuchtet mal die dazugehörige NWS-Kontroll-Lampe ... aber es ist auch nicht geschrieben, wo man diese einschalten kann. Weiterhin ist angeblich die Tastenkombination Shift-G dazu geeignet. Aber wohl nur im FS-X - ich benutze aber P3D4, und hier scheint es keine Tasten-Zuordnung zu geben.... Wer kann mir helfen? Hallo zusammen, beim Downloaden der Installationsdateien für die F-14 kann man zusätzlich eine gut 6 GB große "Paintkit-Datei" mit runterladen. Nach dem Entpacken hat man die im angehängten Screenshot gezeigten Files, mit denen ich aber zugegebnermaßen nichts anfangen kann - auch die enthaltene "_Squadrons Read Me.txt" liefert keine Erkenntnisse. Wer kann mir sagen, wozu das gut ist? Ich denke mal, um zusätzliche Bemalungen der Tomcat zu installieren - aber wie? Oder ist die Datei nur für Weiterentwickler gedacht, als normaler User kann man damit gar nichts machen? Im voraus besten Dank für etwaige Antworten vom GERO

Just installed in new WIN 10 PC.... never had this issue before.... In know others have had in the past... cant find fix in forums... will keep looking. Having kneel issue... aircraft wont stay in kneel for launch... seems like conflict with something... or loop like one person described... already reinstalled and no luck! Checking tacpack to see if its a setting there... anyone know how to fix? Making CQ a chore...

Will we see a PBR model update for the F14?. Obviously, it should not necessarily be a free update. I'm pretty sure a good amount of current users would pay a reasonable charge for such update. Cheers

I need some help. I am getting P3D V4.4 configured and making sure all add ons are up to date. I made sure the latest F14X version is installed. FSUIPC 5.15 is installed but I do not use it for controls typically. After selecting and loading the F14X I can control everything but not throttle response. Alternate throttles are checked in the setup window. I cannot work the throttles with Thrustmaster HOTAS or keyboard. Everything else is functional. What am I missing? I was flying this bird under V4.3.

I'm trying to play the saved scenarios, and tune the tacan on a carrier. None of the default carrier tacans seem to be working. If I spawn a carrier, the assigned tacan will work, but if I try to play a saved scenario, I can't tune the tacan successfully. This is becoming frustrating, as I can't get the AI intercept scenarios to play, because I can't tune to the ship's tacan.

I have recently switched to a new computer and have reinstalled the F-14 While I have flown the Tomcat from land bases I notice that the F-14 missions were not installed. I ran the installer as admin, and as I say, the aircraft appears fine. I am now using FSX steam and windows 10. both which are new to me but I don't see how that could block just the flights. Any Ideas?

Friends, I switched to P3DV4 and downloaded and installed the 64-Bit Version of the Aerosoft F-14 X. I managed to fly this bird in P3D V3 after some beginners problems quite well. Today after installing the 64-Bit Version I ran into some problems. First of all is that I don't know how to set "Trim Elevator Up / down" to Joystick Buttons. I simply cannot find the right P3D Event to change buttons/ keystrokes. Before start I usually walk through checklist and get all checkmarks. Is there a way to assign keystroke commands for the .lua commands in the F-14? I’m wanting to make a Voice attack profile for this aircraft.

I just downloaded the latest version for P3Dv4 and installed without issue. I have read the shared cockpit instruction and followed those to include running the Configuration tool and adding the IPs. Unfortunately, once in the sim and try to pick RIO and select IP they are all listed as 127.0.0.1. Appreciate any advice on how to get this corrected.

Hello all. Just got the F-14X for P3D. My P3d version is v4.3 I am not using FSUIPC The CH Products Eclipse Yoke. (due to physical limitations I like the rudder axis on the yoke) I've noticed that when moving joystick full right or left that the spoilers are not fully deployed. Downloaded some liveries from here, but upon selecting missiles, fuel tanks, TARP etc, from the payload manager, they do not appear. I do see there is a stores file in the texture folder. Any help?

Hello, I purchased the Aerosoft F-14 extended back in September last year (2017), installed it and enjoyed it fully. Recently I made a hardware change to my computer (changed motherboard, added hard drive, moved windows onto new hard drive, changed CPU, changed RAM) as a result of this I have had to reinstall P3D (v3) along with my addons. Recently, I have installed the latest Tomcat installer from Aerosoft for FSX + Acceleration. Upon selecting the missions, I have noticed the Tomcat is struggling to kneel when the nose wheel strut is engaged. When (Shift + W) is toggled, the strut stutters and quickly returns to the extended position. However, I have noticed the strut will collapse if the Tomcat is not touching the carrier deck. This problem occurs with both the Kitty Hawk and Javier's Nimitz. This leads me to believe there may be an issue with the Tomcat.
