I really love to fly older jetliners and especially like the Dc-8's......so much that I even bought the other one when it came out... This one however is a true beauty to look at and even better to fly! Great Job and much appreciated!

Any idea to get a DC-8 for MSFS2020 so that we t least can have 1 old aircraft in MSFS2020????? I am afraid that all old aircraft will disappear. I can pay a lot for having that Regards

Just wondering if you could contact PC Aviator and get them to post Version 3 of the DC8 on their site. I have sent them several emails without response and as you know we Can't update to V3 with the Aerosoft Updater. Thanks!

Good guys The other day I am very happy flying my new DC8 from aerosoft until everything is fine when I reach the height of cruiser left with the autopilot armed the selector in V / S and the roulette in hold altitude and does not maintain the altitude that I select in the selector on top of the instruments of the drivers' motors as I do to maintain altitude thanks Moderator Edit: I changed your font size down to the standard 14 point. Hello.I am somewhat concerned about a recent flight with the DC-8 that ended in a crash.The flight was from Denpasar,Bali to Brunei airport,Brunei.The plane was loaded to the max and sufficient fuel was taken in.The outside temp was 31 degrees Celsius.Now,I know that these are not beginner conditions,but then again, I am not a beginning pilot. After take-off we got into a massive storm front,no way to fly around it.I initially managed a climb into the low 30's (FL 340),but I was unable to hold it,of course,so I gradually lowered the altitude.As I was flying in a storm,I had all my anti-ice equipment working.As long as I was descending,the speeds were accept…

The update of version 3 was made available, on this site, on Monday 08 June. I enquired when simMarket would have the update. I was told by Mathijs that the update file, and I quote, "is made available the same hour they are available on our shop." Today is Saturday 13 June and simMarket have told me that they have not received the update yet. Now someone is clearly not being truthful! Can you please clarify this matter. Thanks in advance. Is there any to tighten up the altitude hold. I realize the plane was not like today's jets, but I'm seldom sure if it's working because it porpoises so much. Anyone know of a code change to adjust this problem. It takes the fun out of flying a plane I love.

Hi fellow DC8 drivers, I've had my computer/sim freeze or crash a couple of times. Fortunately, with FSUIPC, I've been able to recover the flight at some point. When loading the last FSUIPC saved position, the aircraft, and all parameters and settings load splendidly well, and right where they were; however, the INS is turned OFF. Of course it is impossible to enter current position while the aircraft is flying; but, wanted to ask if there is any workaround or "trick" to be able to recuperate the INS when loading a flight saved by FSUIPC after a sim/PC crash. I'm kinda new to the DC-8 and just recently purchased the product. When I load up the DC8 in FSX:SE and use the Fuel & Payload Loader I can add passenger figures, but the Gross Weight remains unchanged. The same is true when I try to load or unload fuel. The Loader won't allow me to make any changes to the forward and aft cargo and so remains at zero. Also, when I try to add or take anyway any fuel it doesn't show on the fuel gauges and remains at it's default settings of full tanks. I'm having problems with the elevator trim as well i've tried adjusting it using the trim on my joystick. It doesn't respond to the default keys on my keyboard ( Elevator Trim Num 7 &…

Great aircraft, the DC8. Since you're working on an upgrade, it might be useful to add a left-right mouse button option so that one button increments or decrements by 10, while the other button does it in single digits. The mouse scroll wheel simply moves the bug much too slowly. tony

I have FSX SP2 and downloaded v2.1. Also noticed problem with v2.0. Only happens with this product. When I load the aircraft in cold/dark at a parking spot, the whole scenery vibrates very slightly and the aircraft very slowly creeps forward. Parking brake is set and I even actuated Aux Hydraulics but no joy. The movement causes my INS not to align and I get error code. Also interferes with GSX as the plane moves away from the stairs and service trucks. I have I7 7700 and my frame rates are usually 80-100 but I lock at 35 fps to avoid any loading stutters. I have tried placing the aircraft at different airports and same result. I use ASN but set the winds to zero…

I use Flight1 GTN 750, I fly FL300 cruise , Autopilot on. one Hydraulic BYPASS,. Followed checklist. One command in the checklist I don't know to implement is YAW off.. Haven't responded to that. Then suddenly in cruise the plane lose it and starts climbing... .and banking... Any ideas what the pilot is doing wrong before I start blaming the aircraft.. 🕵️‍♂️ Anyway I wonder why so few DC-8 repaints? All the best... Jens

I have noticed that when the White Flood light is switched on (FE panel), the light on the #3 overheat cabin compressor comes on. Can this plz been looked into. Thanks Trevor

Hello, I'm following the INS manual but I often run into an issue with the alignment. When I first set the POS for both and move them from STBY to ALIGN The two screens display: "28" "0 95" Instead of: "0" "0 95" Usually after trying for a while I get it to display it and align correctly but clearly there's something I'm not doing right. I could not find no reference in the manual to code "28".

Just used the updater software to update the plane to 2.1. Love the 2d autopilot panel, but the update has broken the visuals on the trim handle, the indicator and the pitch up/down on the a/p panel. In short, trim still works, but the handle and indicator don't work unless you are in autopilot mode. Further, the pitch up/down rotating knob rotates when you use the trim. I've gone back to 2.0 until this is fixed. This is the p3d v4 version of the plane. Thanks! Colin Ware

Hi I recently bought this after seeing that, (although it was an FSX-plane, it's compatible with P3Dv4. When I try to install it a pop-up tells me that FSX can't be found** and that I should direct the installer to a suitable folder. The problem is that I can direct it wherever I want to, the installer keeps on insisting on a folder containing FSX and I can't get past this step. It won't install in any folder. Just purchased the DC8. I have spent a number of hours studying the plane and am beginning to thoroughly enjoy it. Getting the airplane engines going from cold and dark was a huge hurdle for me to clear, but after spending time I have fully mastered it and can do it with confidence. From paging through numerous realworld aircraft manuals I can see just how accurate everything is - well done and my sincere thanks to the developer (I believe it's Michael). Hey everyone, I'm not sure if I'm just dumb or uneducated on the DC-8 but when I press shift-3 to load the cargo (cargo variant of the DC-8), I cannot click or scroll up any of the main cargo, or the forward/aft cargo. http://prntscr.com/rmstce I can move the fuel values, but I don't think they change the actual fuel because when I press Shift Z it's still at 100%, gross weight does not change, and forward/aft cargo always at 0 they don't move. EDIT: I've seen this post It matches exactly what my issue is, and I've installed the XMLTools, the .dll is in my P3D root folder already. This issue still occurs.
