Twin Otter Extended

I somehow decided to reboot my Twin Otter Paintshop ... no idea why ... Some WIP screens, don't ask when they will be finished. They are done, when they are done! As usual those liveries will come with an interior upgrade, too. I know there's no DHC-6-400, so I'm using the old Air Seycelles DHC-6-300 interior layout. Greetings, Daniel

I am considering doing a major update of the Twin Otter aimed at P3d v4. This update would include a few minor fixes here and there but would mainly focus on adding Connected Flight Deck and dynamic light. As this is a lot of work and does not bring in a lot of additional sales it can't be done for free. Think about a 7 euro update fee or something. How would you react to such an update and are there any specific things you would like to see included in such an update?

Greetings, I had the same problem with quartz.ttf font as is described in another topic Nothing helped. I tried font reinstall and reboot. Hello, I got the TwinOtter through the Lukla Package for P3dv4. As I understand, it's a stripped down version of the Twin Otter extended. What I noticed, there is no tool for fuel planning and loading the aircraft as mentioned in the manual? Where can I get this? Best regards Adrian

Does the Twin Otter Extended have a prop reverse or throttle reverse (reverse thrust) and if so how do I enable it in P3D v5. I have a Saitek Throttle pedestal. thank you Don Whyte

Hi I have purchased the Twin Otter Extended for FSX. When i load the Amphib aircraft, after a few seconds it automatically starts the engines and starts to move on the water. Is there any way to disable this auto start?? I have tried to load the aircraft, then shutdown the engines and switch off all power (Cold Dark Start), the safe the flight, but when i reload that flight it still auto starts !! Can I disable this feature.

I would like to configure Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo to the Twin Otter but I don't know where to find the list of variable or command used by this airplane in the simulator. Does somebody know and could help me ? thanks to all

Hi All, I'm having a bit of a problem changing the fuel load using the fuel planner, I can alter the Pax load and the cargo load using the sliders but how do I alter the fuel load? Clicking on the Tank pictures does nothing. I'm simulating a flight from A to B to pick up Pax and then on to C without refuelling at B, effectively A to B is a Tanking flight with 0 Pax. Indeed when I flew A to B the planner underestimated the fuel required and both engines shut down shortly after touch down! Anybody help? Beers mog

Hello, All: I've been trying to find a way to install the Twin Otter into P3D v5. I have found a few posts that say some individuals have installed the Twin into v5 but there are no instructions on how to do so. I've downloaded the latest version from my Aerosoft account but the installer has no option for P3D v5: just v4. I have a P3D v4 Addons folder and when I try to install to that I get an error stating "FSX Cannot be found". Is there an installer for v5? Or a possible work around? I only have P3D v5 installed on the new PC I built and would like very much to be able to fly the Twin again. If anyone knows how to install it to v5 and is willing…

Hi, A question to the Twin Otter experts: I took a photo of the instruments on a flight with the Twin Otter in Maldives some years ago. If I fly with the same power settings, I get pretty the same values. Only GG RPM is way off. While on Maldives it was near 100%, I only get 72% in the simulator (P3D 5.3). I'm using P3Dv4 and the twin otter extended. Whenever I try to launch the fuel planner I get the following message error and it doesn't start. Other applications like Active Sky adn vPilot had connected without issue. I own the Twin otter Extended edition. Is this compatible with PD3 v5? Also the turbo edition is compatible with PD3 V5? Can I install the turbo version in the same sim as the extended version? Which version Otter comes with the Antarctica X scenery? Thanks for your answers in advance. Bill M

HELLO Fellows , I love my DHC-6 Extended and was doing a 680NM flight for a nice job , when close to destination the fuel finish and I was landing on a small runaway without no fuel. I am using FSX STEAM. I have done the correcto procedure to bring fuel from another airport buy another plane and aparently all was ok I got fuel now onboard , BUT CTRL E the engines beguin to work and stop . A never learn how to do the check list completly. I have read all the topics in this forum on this subject, however, among all the suggestions, none solved the problem of switching VHF radio. Windows10 updated P3Dv4 I understand that, for now, this product should be considered as an aircraft without radio and without ILS / VOR; or no?

OK, I may be as dumb as a doornail, but maybe someone here can help me 1. How do you get the beta range lights to extinguish? In flight, full throttle, and full forward on the prop even, they won't turn off. 2. Possibly related to above. How do you disengage the startlocks? I have tried numerous times in several different combinations, and can't seem to have any luck 3. Where is the autofeather switch? I can't seem to find it anywhere 4. Checklists don't seem to take prop feathering into account, and there's a few that I can't get past because it calls for feathering or full forward (or 23%) Help!

I have started having a new problem with the Twin Otter amphib. I have it set to cold and dark start up. When I start up the sim with the TW on the water, it starts powered up and then shuts down, control locks on. After a minute or so, still cold and dark, the aircraft starts moving backwards as if reverse thrust is engaged. I use a mix of Lorby SI and FSUIPC for controls. I have disabled these and there are no controls set in the sim. I have done a full reinstall of the aircraft with no change. Inspite of that, I decided to practice Flight sim again , not only that, with a paying airplane (it's not about money, it's about to learn more on air air plane)s.
