Hi, The livery manager won't load, is this a known problem? The other programs (Fuelplanner etc.) load perfectly. I installed the twin otter for prepar3d v4 in a windows 10 enviroment.

Hello, Whenever I select a camera view after using the "Shift" + "3" the checklist pops up for each view. Is there anyway to turn this off? I find it an odd feature especially if I'm trying to look at gauges or set switches/knobs. (I purchased and installed version 1.21 I'm liking the aircraft as it's a fun plane to fly . . . it would be great if I could disable the checklist from automatically appearing every time I click on a window view.

Hey Aerosoft, I would like to ask about your opinion, to change something at the terrible taxying behavior of the twin otter??? In a other thread you wrote, this is a FSX/P3D limitation. But this can't be the truth!! I have several aircraft from different developers. But the Twin Otter is the FAR FAR FAR most terrible to taxi aircraft!! It can't be a FSX/P3D limitation, because the other developer can do it nicely. Why not the twin otter??? Tell me please, where this friction is coded! I wanna change that!

The first issue is that the left engine will not start when sitting on the ground cold and dark but the right engine starts fine. The second issue is that the various panel views are so large that I cannot see or operate the various buttons and switches as required when going thru the Check list. Any help with either of these two issues will be appreciated.

In FSX the Otter has 2 tip tanks (R+L). How can I switch to use the fuel in those tanks? The fuel tank switch only allows me to go from center to center 1. Or did I oversee anything? Thanks for your reaction.

Doesn't work in P3D v4.3 I can locate the folders but whenever i try to record a flight nothing is save and the save folder remains devoid of save files. Are there some magic settings that I am unaware of and should add to make it work?

  12. Started by GuiLaMon,

I am using Aerosoft's interactive checklist to get my Twin Otter (Extended) into the air. When I get to the Propeller governer and autofeather testing portions, when I advance the power levers as instructed, my plane starts to advance forward despite my parking brakes being on. Also, on occassion, my plane tends to tip back onto it's stern when the throttles advance in a parked position. What should I be doing to avoid these occurences.

  13. Hello, I am trying to setup P3Dv4 in such a way that I can load a flight with the DHC6, and not have trouble starting the engines. The only way I am currently able to get the engines to start, is if I save a default flight with another model, then reload the DHC6. This needs to be done every time, which is very tedious. I have gone into the Configuration panel, and made sure that the "Ready to Fly situation" option has a green asterisk next to it. This did not help, even after restarting both the game and computer. How do I get the DHC6 to start its engines on every game load, without having to load another plane?

  14. This refers to the following two tables in the "Vol 4 - Data.pdf" document. Here is a link to the two tables in question.... Twin Otter Max Cruise Performance Can someone explain the difference between these two tables for 7,400 lb weight. The only difference between the two tables at that weight is 1 psi torque, but the air speed and fuel flow are very different in each table. If Np, temperature, pressure altitude and torque are the same... why the two tables & why the big difference in speed? What am I missing? Many thanks.

Hello, I'm new here. I just bought the Twotter and I'm having some fun with it. I want to try painting my own textures, but it would be easier for me to paint on a "master" file with the whole fuselage+tail, and then copy the paint onto the actual files provided in the paintkit. Does such a thing exist?

i've downloaded the Twin Otter paint kit, but for the DHC6-300 Wheel (i haven't checked the others) all i have are .psd files, which i opened with DXTBmp, however, the only textures i have are Solomon's textures. could i get some white fuselage textures? it would make it a lot easier for the liveries i want to make. Thanks

I am currently using FSX with FSUIPC4 version 4.974. I use Saitek double throttle quadrants for the Twin Otter. I have the throttle quadrant setup with the throttle on first two levers and reversers set to the second two levers with the third levers set to the condition levers. When flying at altitude the cockpit few shows the right throttle shuttering. I have re-calibrated the settings in FSUIPC with no luck. I was wondering if anyone who is a Twin Otter fan has any suggestions. 19. I have recently installed P3Dv4.2 and everything works fine. BUT... even more recently I have stopped using the virtual cockpit and I have discovered that now the Twin Otter's GPS will not work. This is so if I try to drive it by sending the ESP event codes with FSUIPC (which my hardware panel does) or even pushing the buttons with the mouse. A couple of the things work - the ON/OFF switch, radio tuner and flip-flops, and the CDI button. But nothing else. The controls are highlighted and the button animations work when I press them but the commands don't get executed. I tried the P3D (Carenado) Bonanza and that worked as expected. Can anyone verify this? I don't have…

  20. Hey All, Is there anyone that would like to paint this bird? Grand Canyon Airlines has 16 twin otters and is the largest carrier that uses them in the U.S. but has been neglected. It seems fairly simple to paint. Anyone want to please try it out? http://www.airliners.net/photo/Grand-Canyon-Airlines/De-Havilland-Canada-DHC-6-300-Twin-Otter-VistaLiner/4217595/L?qsp=eJwtjDEOwkAMBP/imuZApEgHH4CCD1i%2BFZx0JCfbBVGUv8c50Y1mtLuSzJPj56%2BlgUYysMqHTtRY%2BWs0rsRFa5mOeB6uKUWzWf2%2BhMjsuImgOfLfPzRDjwSTfvOOZQqAPjvTZQifi7XK/QPOpdK27YVBLQY%3D Thank you, Scott Erb

Hope this is the correct forum for requests... A new Twin Otter operated seaplane route is opening this March between my home city of Aarhus and Copenhagen. Can't wait to see and hear it in action. I hope that someone would be interested in trying to do the livery for me, since I sadly have no idea how to do that myself. The only thing I know right now, is that the registration of the airplane is OY-NSA. Try to Google that and Nordic Seaplanes, and you should find some images - it's a white livery with a red wavy bottom. Links: TwinOtterSpotter SeaPlanes.dk Stiften.dk EgliPaint.ch

Is it possible to disable the joystick when the autopilot is engaged ? I'm finding with the Twin Otter with autopilot engaged , altitude hold engaged , when you select a lower altitude and either engage IAS mode or pitch down using the center console control it tends to pitch up initially when ALT hold mode disengages . Looks like in the moment where it switches autopilot modes it's responding to joystick position .
