Marcel created an Service Pack that updates the files to version 1.01. We decided to release this pack right now as an open beta and not have it go through the complete beta cycle to save some time. We are pretty sure this release solves a lot of the open issues. But if you prefer not to mess with beta's, just wait a few days and we'll have the official Service Pack ready. Gents (ladies?), Marcel made an update to version 1.01. We are releasing that as an 'open beta' to avoid having to put it through the lengthy process of testing. We are sure this update will solve a good deal of the issues reported, but if you are not sure you want to participate in a test, just wait a few days until the full official release is ready. Attached the Katana paint kit. Do note you will need a tool that can handle PSD layered files. AS_KATANA4x_FSX_PAINTKIT_V100.zip

Reset-Tool Application to reset data back to default values. It is important that the Katana is not loaded while using the tool. I advice to even close FSX and wait a few seconds to ensure it is unloaded and the resetting will work properly. Reset.zip

There are a few items that are known limitations, some are worked on, some are inevitable. The current manuals, although very complete and very nicely formatted, have not been fully checked as they have been completed today. We do not expect serious issues, but it could be we replace them early next week with updated versions.This product does NOT need online activation via the Launcher (no that's not a sign we are dropping it, lol), but the files are personalized on registration. I have a Diamond Katana 4X and I doesn't find a button for pushback. Shift +P doesn't work. Is there no possibility for pushback?

In one of the closed threads it says, don't assign the button variable to an axis, use the one for a lever: LEVER_CARB_HEAT How is this done as I cannot find any reference to a carb. heat, or a LEVER_CARB axis in FSUIPC 4.974, with FSX SE? BTW the DA 20 100 4X is a superb aircraft just like the real thing. I just hope that it will be continued in a more modern flight simulator.

so i use autorudder because the keyboard controls send me up the wall and whenever i takeoff i have ful right alerion to stay on the runway. in flight there is no difference.

For those who desperate to use this aircraft with V4 and don't want to bother "fixing it" at every start up, below is a small LUA script which I load automatically with FSUIPC when selecting the DA20 (it set "instructor mode", this repairs the aircraft, then set it to "ready for take off", and set few of my necessary settings). Even though i am terribly late for this, I still want to compliment the developer(s) behind the Aerosoft Diamond Katana. I never got to buy it when it came out and since then I've moved on to P3Dv4. But the curiosity had always remained. Coincidentally it was on sale last week so I bought me a reason to reinstall FSX. So much attention to detail, this aircraft feels like a labour of love. An absolute pleasure. There should be more aircraft like this one. Alex

Hi, I use the DA20 to fly in Virtual Reality, but RPM gauge is not readable due to VR low resolution, is it possible to add a RPM gauge in the bottom right empty place of the VC?

i noticed while flying with the view height adjusted up and forward the ground was visible under the canopy.

I purchased the DA20-100 Katana 4X last week. The setup and first flight went fine. Then I tried further flights and found that under payload I could not load a pilot, the box immediately turns grey again (both passenger/baggage stay blue). I can see in the background that the pilot tries to load but flashes on/off with mouse clicks. Customer service had me, uninstall/reinstall the software as well as try using directx 9. The recommended settings are used as listed in the manual. Further trouble-shooting I've tried is: - updating graphic card drivers - adjusting graphic settings through fsx only. - forcing graphic settings through t…

Hi, i have just purchased and downloaded. On 1 st few flights, the instruments shake all over the place, unable to read, and are quite blurred. Also it tends to constantly veer to the left? Any suggestions please, not too technical Baz

Recent purchase of this aircraft, not too impressed, does not behave as well as some others or even FSX standard Aircraft. However, this could be teething problems But, only with this Aircraft, when i click "End Flight" it closes FSX entirely! Every time and only this Aircraft. What is the fix please guys?
