Diamond DA20-100 Katana

I have started to experience FSX crashes as soon as I select the Katana 4X plane. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the plane but that didn't help this time. At a previous event where this problem arised a reinstall solved the problem. I get a message that FSX has stopped to work. In the Windows log I see two entry saying FSX fault and unknown module and event id 1000 then an event id 33 and this message 'Activation context generation failed for "D:\FSX\GAUGES\rxpGNS.DLL". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect ,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b",type="win32",version="10.0.61259.0" could not be found. Please u…

Hi, i purchased the Katana yesterday. All works fine. But, when i try to fly i always get the message: failed to load: MF_MSC_MED001.bmp failed to load: MF_MSC_EXT001.bmp this is strange because i have the KatanaX and in the Texture Folder is only .dds and not .bmp. Yes, there is already a post with this problem but not solved. Yes, i have installed as Admin twice. Every minute i must click on the message from FSX during the flight. That make the beautiful Plane not flyable. Please help and don't let the Post run out.... Thanks, Alu

Having just bought the Katana a few days ago, I've been trying for the last couple hours to get my controls set up in FSUIPC (registered) and FSX, and I'm exhausted, so I guess I'll just cut straight to the point: There's no apparent command to assign nose up trim to a button. Nose down works perfectly fine with the 4X DA20-100 L:SWITCH ELEVATOR TRIM SET commands, but I can't see any way to assign a button to Nose up trim. Any help would be appreciated!

A posting on the F1 GTN series forum suggests that version 1.04 of the Katana offered 'an option to place user specified radios or avionics in a provided blank panel space.' If so, presumably this would include the superb Flight1 GTN750. Can anyone confirm if this is true, please? I have hunted around and haven't been able to see how to do this. Thanks!

Hi I have bought the boxed versaion of DA20-100 KATANA 4K for FSX. How do I tell if there is an update or not? The aircraft.cfg shows V3.7 I have tried to register it on the Aerosoft support website, trying both options DA-20 Katana DA-20 Katana X but it says my email or seriel number is wrong. i am using the seriel number inside the box which I used fine when i installed it, with the format xxx-xxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx including the - 's but just keeps saying my seriel number or email are wrong Any help appreciated thanks

Can anyone explain how I add a custom gauge, please? I want to add the Flight1 GTN750 in place of the usual GPS. I know I select 'custom gauge' but how do I get the F1 GPS to appear there? Thanks!

I recently bought a copy of Diamond DA20-100 Katana, the problem i'm having is that every time i load aircraft it is in it's worst condition, i have tried it in realistic, simple and instructor mode but still the same. Also there seems to be two or three black objects outside the Cocpit. Norman. PS I am using Vista.

Hello dear Aerosoft Developer, I have a noisy sound appearing with the DA 20 Katana when I switch on Break ("PAUSE") or going back to the FSX Main Menue the sound did not disappear and really disturbs. Additional I have a problem to open the panels to adjust Katana settings. I have FSX installed on Windows 7 64bit an I7 3.5 ghz 8core AMD Radeon eyefinity on 3 screens running FSX on Window Mode because I use a 4th screen (extended desktop) showing FS Flight commander. I just bought the DA20 (v.1.0.4, from JustFlight), and basically all went well. Smooth installation/activation, and a first short test flight was successful; it's a very nice plane indeed. I read the whole manual, and I watched youtube videos of real Katana's, and I am following how to fly it as much as possible by the manual. 1) The oil of my Katana needs replacing every few hours. I am flying cross-country, and everytime I land and check the service tab, the oil lights up yellow. Once, the dipstick was completely dry when I landed and checked the oil. There are two options as for oil for the Katana DA20-10. I didn't see in the manual information on what outside air temperature requires which oil. Anyone know when to use either oil for the Diamond DA20-100 Katana 4x?

Hello, the CHT of my Katana 4X is in a few minuts after startup over the red line. I know the settings of this aircraft: 25" at 2200 RPM at 2000 ft (75%), I'm also flying this aircraft in real life. I have renew the oil (SAE 40) halfway the oilstick (between 2 - 3 liters). The cylinderheats are fluid cooled, so mayby I thought my coolant isn't working properly? System: Win7, 64bit, FSX. Anyone? Hi I already had a problem with Airbus X Extended, but now it's worser! The right MCDU/Checklist doesn't work anymore, the throttle stays in idle, the overhead panel isn't working and more! Also I'm missing a few sounds, like I can't hear the sound when I press a button.
