Bronco X. After an initial release just before Christmas (we had one model done and did not want to delay) we are now ready with the complete Bronco X product. All 8 models are now included (with different flight models of course), there is a new VC for the military models, the engines have a more detailed wear simulation and a few bugs have been killed. Check it out, it’s one of the finest aircraft we ever done! Of course all current customers will find this new download for free on the order page." Paintkit available from the product page.

  6. As the title states... it's now available at your order history page, no extra cost. I get about 15% better FPS in Prepar3d compared with FSX, so you might like to check this out.

  7. The spoilerons cause some interesting behavior. At speeds below 165 KIAS; when a roll is initiated the nose will tend to go away from the turn, or toward the wings which is traveling up (adverse yaw). This causes the aircraft to slip and slows the rolling motion, so rudder input into the turn is good practice. 165KIAS (real aircraft) is a transition region in which the nose stay more or less centered during a roll, and little rudder input is needed. In our model, this region ranges from 165-200KIAS depending on weight and altitude because FSX does not allow a greater precision. At at speeds greater than 165KIAS; when a roll is initiated the nose will tend…

Get it at: www.aerosoft-shop.com/products/broncox/broncox.html Product description: Almost all aircraft designed for a COIN (counter-insurgency) are great fun to fly. They have to be sturdy and have loads of power to get out of trouble and they also got to agile and easy to fly low to the ground. So they all are the opposite of airliners that draw straight lines high in the sky, they feel most at ease when the hug the ground and pull G. The OV-10 Bronco is perhaps the finest example of this class of aircraft. The Bronco has its roots deep in the 1960s when most military aircraft were getting bigger, more complex and above all faster. These aircraft did not work w…

AIRCRAFT MODEL Q: Where is the gunsight ! A: The German Broncos was used mainly as target tugs, so they did not have gunsights fitted. Some of the up comming models in the 2012 update will. FLIGHT MECHANICS Q: Problems at low speed! A: The bronco is predictable but does have some things you need to understand. See here. Q: Yaw seems to be strange. A: That's because of the spoilerons they affect yaw one way under a certain speed and the opposite way at a higher speed. read this. Q: I can't reach the speed I want! A: We are using an invisible spoiler to create the STAL behavior we wanted and that spoiler is extended in certain conditions on the gro…

  10. The Bronco has some of the most detailed flight mechanics ever done for FSX. A lot of time was spend on getting the less obvious characteristics right. But that means that sim pilots can encounter things they have never felt before. We like to explain these in some detail. Feel free to ask us more about it here. John, who did these amazing files is on hand to assist. In the beta tests we seen a few times that pilots had problems in the lower speed regime. You will not encounter this much if you stay over 100 knots but if you like a more detailed explanation of the effects read the text below. The flight mechanics do mimic this behavior rather accurately. The text …

Does anybody know how to get the bronco in cold dark status on simulation startup?

  12. I've just installed the OV-10 into the main P3d folder as normal. The props are stuck in feather and have no animation. The instruments do not work. Everything else functions and the aircraft flies. Is there a fix for this?

Broncoflap.wav Is this the file for the warning bell for flap retraction? If so it seems to be mute to me.

I have downloaded and (re)installed version 1.21 for P3Dv4.5 and cannot find the paintkit. Am I missing something? Is there a direct download for the paint kit? Thanks!!

  15. Started by Tobus,

I installed latest OV10 v1.21 in my P3Dv4.5hf. No problems but for 2 things: - sounds are distorted on electric prop motors (crank out of feather), gear and flaps. - i can controll engine power and sounds via my yoke's rpm handle (which I'm sure I never could, as they are not in sim model) - engine reaction to power levers is very sluggish. I can push forward from flight idle to full "visually", only to see the power (by feeling and gauges) follow 7-10 seconds later. What can I do to resolve this?

I seem to vaguely remember a hack to change the default VFR code in the Becker transponder from 7000 to 1200. Can somebody shoot me a link or remind me how it was done. I did mine in FSX back in the day but now I've upgraded to P3D V4 and it's back to the 7000 value.

Just installed the Bronco into P3D v4.1 after downloading the installer from Aerosoft. The model is gorgeous but I'm having problems with some of the sounds being distorted. It is really noticeable with the flaps and landing gear transitions. Any ideas?

Hello my friends here at Aerosoft, it has been awhile, I had a stroke a few years ago, and I am now back to flight as a result of some excellent physicians,my wife bought me a new simulator called P3d by Lockheed Martin, and I have spent some time using it, and getting used to flight again, it will take me a while to get back in the saddle, tonight I downloaded your newest BroncoX and loaded her onto the P3D 4+ all went well, I took my initial Bronco Flight from Redding (KRDD) to North Island via Travis, San Francisco and Edwards, a nice long flight, I only ask why after a nominal takeoff, and slow ascent 750fpm to 140k feet does the aircraft swing like she is on a pendul…

Hi, I took today advantage of the 20% off promotion on the military aircraft sale. And bought Bronco X, EE Lightning F3 X and Huey X. Buying, downloading from the DL shop is straight forward as always. I am posting under Bronco because it is the first plane I installed. I am using mainly FSX, and usually install only for FSX. AV disabled and run the installer as administrator. And, exeptional, today I ran the installer a second time for FSX-SE and a third time for P3Dv3. So far no problems encountered. To my surprise the installer of EE Lightning F3 and Huey X did not find the FSX folder anymore. Pointing the ins…

Hello: I'm having an odd issue. When starting the Bronco I have no start-up sounds for the right engine. Everything seems to be working properly otherwise. I'm running version 1.12 on FSX Acceleration. Even odder, I'm having the same issue with the Twin Otter. I've reinstalled both and searched the forum, but can't seem to find a solution. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I see in the Forum the OV10 V2.5 is available. I an using FSX still and wonder what the last update is for FSX. The last version I have is V 111. If there is a newer version can you direct me to it's location. I did look in the Aerosoft page but can find the section were files can be downloaded. Thanks Dick

  25. Started by TitaniumJ,

Hello, I recently installed the Bronco for Prepar3D and started a flight with the Marine FAC variant. During the engine start, I noticed the propellers are not turning. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you in advance and my apologies if this has been addressed in another thread. I did a search for this issue, but did not find anything on it. Cecil
