I have created a project for generating a model matching file for vPilot that allows the Simple Traffic liveries to appear for a variety of aircraft on VATSIM. I used some Python scripts to generate a file that matches a number of ICAO aircraft codes that are popular on VATSIM with the closest-matching Simple Traffic models and liveries. You do not need to run the scripts to use the model matching file. Just download the release and copy the simple_traffic.vmr file from the zip file. Project is here: https://github.com/hallidave/simple-traffic-vpilot Release is here: https://github.com/hallidave/simple-traffic-vpilot/releases I've only done so…

    1. The AI aircraft behave incorrectly, why is that? Spoiler Simple Traffic has no influence on what models are shown, aircraft parking locations, taxi paths, flight paths or animations. This behaviour is controlled internally by the sim engine. Again: Simple Traffic has no influence on how the aircraft behave, just how they look. 2. There is a large aircraft at a gate that should only handle smaller aircraft, why? Spoiler The actual choice of the model is done by the sim engine and Simple Traffic has no way to influence that. 3. Why do I see an airline that should not be at this airport? …

Known Limitations Simple Traffic applies liveries to the default MSFS AI models. It does not make changes to the models themselves, and therefore inherits all the properties of those models and any changes made in Sim Updates. Simple Traffic has no influence on AI aircraft parking locations, taxi paths, or flight paths. This behaviour is controlled internally by the sim engine. In Online AI mode, liveries are selected according to the live traffic data feed within the sim. If Simple Traffic does not yet include a livery for a given airline, then a random livery is selected. This behaviour is controlled internally by the sim engine. If the MSFS ‘G…

I have followed the manual installation instructions but all the aircraft at multiple airports still have the default liberty except for the 787.

  10. I have almost no traffic at airports, even at 100% traffic setting. Happens both in Live and Offline mode. None of the traffic is "local" either: no air canada in YYZ, no American Airlines in DFW. Had great traffic for many years, now suddenly its gone. Corrupted somehow? Ive removed and reinstalled Simple Traffic Ive deleted and re-downloaded FS Base AI traffic folder Is there something else I need to restore to get back to normal?

  11. Just wondering when this is coming to the Xbox, I love to use it both on PC and Xbox since I use both the fly.

Promessing add-on. However, I don't understand why the situation at a particular airport is suddenly changed when I arrive or start there. I landed in Jersey which was overloaded whith Easy Jets. In Orly I din't find any Air France planes but the airport was full with Air Malta. Once I started in Brussels and saw similarly the gates full with Air Malta. At other times Brussels seemed to be okay with among others Brussels Airlines and TuiFly planes. What is going wrong? My settings are according to the documenttion. Thanks Robert

Hi all, I know that on release there were problems with Simple Traffic, and that it wasn't available in SU10 (which I'd been using since Beta). But I see now on Xbox that it no longer appears in Content Management and can't seem to find any formal announcement on what the state of play is with this add-on. Is there one? Will ST be coming back? As a developer myself, I understand there are always bugs, so I'm not about to start ranting an raving or demanding refunds, but I'd like to know if it's on the roadmap to make an appearance again sometime in the (near) future? I'd rather have incorrect or repeated liveries over the de…

This is no use for VATSIM or IVAO, but if you get a lot of “Generic” aircraft mentioned in MSFS ATC comms, you can actually re-name them by editing the aircraft.cfg file for each generic plane in your LocalCache\Packages\Official folder. Scroll down the list of aircraft to: Asobo-aircraft-generic-airliner-quadengines Asobo-aircraft-generic-airliner-twinengines Asobo-aircraft-generic-piston-multiengines Asobo-aircraft-generic-piston-singleengine Asobo-aircraft-generic-privatejet Asobo-aircraft-generic-turbo-multiengines Asobo-aircraft-generic-turbo-singleengine You can use any name you like to replace “Generic”, but I’ve used the ‘m…

  15. Hello everyone, it's my first time posting here. I'd like to report an issue with Aerosoft's Simple Traffic last version (1.0.2.0) and auto flight plan loading in Flybywire Simulations' A32NX and Headwind's A330-900 neo mcdu. If you have Simple Traffic installed, and you create your IFR flight plan from default FS2020 flight planner, once in the cockpit you will have the mcdu totally blank, no waypoints, starting/arriving airport, cruise level, etc. You can still enter it manually anyway. This happens only if you start cold and dark, no matter if you select the starting point from map or from drop-down menu. I don't know how it is possible, but removing Sim…

Hi everyone, Firstly big fan of ST, great to have busy skies again! I'm having to use it in offline mode as Live AI Traffic spawns but doesn't take off (a common fault since SU4 or 5, not related to this product ) which is fine however, I find I seem to have too much conflicting offline traffic. For example, at LHR, I had x3 BA flights all call up at the same time with the same destination as Basle, I've just launched it at 2100z and there is x2 BA flights to Stuttgart. I have a feeling that many of these flights are duplicates? Does anybody else have this issue? But to conclude on a positive note, a great stable product other than…

  17. Dear Team: First of all: thanks for the great experience improvement which Simple Traffic brings along. I have noticed that when in Offline AI mode, even at a low traffic density rate (30%), my sim keeps crashing when I am speeding up the sim rate (4x/8x). No such observation in online AI mode. Could it be that the increased sim rate in combination with the AI offline traffic load brings MSFS to its knees? Thanks again and keep on the good work, Kilian.

Hi, I know this isn't an issue with Simple Traffic as such, but just wondering if there is a way to tweak the AI to get off the runway quicker, or to get to their takeoff point quicker? They seem to slow right down after they've landed and cause loads of other planes to go around, as sometimes they go to the end of the runway before turning off! I remember there was an app for FSX/P3D traffic that would speed them up a bit. Just wondered if there was any way to do that in MSFS? Thanks,

  22. Will Simple Traffic work with Add on Linker allowing the folders to be turned off/ on pre MS startup and - more importantly for me - can the folders be put on a different drive from MSFS and linked using Add on Linker?

  23. So, in MSFS I have every traffic option set to 0 (literally everything under the TRAFFIC section). But parked aircraft still appear in the airports. I want to use this addon so that I would get liveries on VATSIM, but I don't want other traffic (parked or otherwise) appear. Is it possible to do so?
