Right MCDU / Checklist

This may have been addressed somewhere else in the Forum, but I haven't been able to find it. When I am using the Pushback and Start up procedure with a 90 degree turn, I find that the total distance travelled from the gate is too large and difficult to control. I have tried using the smallest distance of 9m and 90 degrees, but I still travel well past the centre line at many airport gates. It appears that the turn is much too slow with the radius of turn being too large, consequently the total distance becomes much greater than you would expect in the real world. Hi everybody, this is again about the Cruise CL, the CoP Table and how it works (or not): 1st- what I found out when the table won't retract at cruise level: I go to the MCDU, set a new Criuse Level (say 100ft above), go then to the Altitude selector knob, turn it 100ft higher--> when the bus reaches that new level, the table will retract and the Descent Preparation CL will start according to the FP. 2nd- my problem, hoping for good advice: I usually start my test flights with "takeoff state" (right MCDU). In my Cabin Sound pack I have imported, my flight safety video plays just after taxiing checklist complete. How can I adjust the timings and make it play as soon as I start pushback? Many Thanks

I have a problem where the MCDU no2, the door opening option is there but it doesn't work. I click the relevant button but it doesn't operate any of the doors. I normally use the FSX Shift + E, 2,3 and 4 topen them but would prefer to use the MCDU option.

I perform all of the checklists correctly it seems and everything goes according to script but my planes always start the before takeoff procedure way to early. I have reread section 5.10 again and again and note that on my system, the countdown to the holding point starts right when taxi begins and as I get close to the takeoff runway the procedure starts before I can get ATC permission to take off. So I have to reverse several items to put the plane in the ready state awaiting permission to take off, then activate the necessary items for a correct take-off. Hanse, I have Airbus XA320/321 installed in P3D v2.2 in SLI. I am unable to access the right MCDU. The "F" keys do not operate and I can not find a menu option which will allow me to access. Views --> Instrument Panel --> Pedestal, displays both MCDU but the click spots have been removed from both MCDU. Therefore the MCDU can not be operated from the view. In fact the Panel.cfg seems to indicate that there is no such thing as a right MCDU?? If so where do I access the correct User Manual? Referring me to the Manual will NOT solve this issue. I have paid good money for a working model of the Airbus and am willing to work with the developers to achieve…

For whatever reason's there appear to be times when the MCDU does not properly clear out after landing. What is the best method to "reset" the MCDU ?? I think it would be helpful before loading the next flight plan. So is there a procedure to clear-out or reset the MCDU to assure it is all cleared out before importing the next flight plan as I due from EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) ? Thanks,

Hello I have been experiencing problems with my Airbus X Extended download where I am unable to see the right MCDU and nav displays. I have gone through previous posts where various things have been suggest, all of which I believe I have done. I start in FSX and P3D the AXX at turn around state. In P3D turn on check-list and immediately start "before start Check-list" in FSX don´t start any check-list. In FSX the chek list only start after engines start up in push back. Why can´t have the before satrt chklist in FSX?

I just installed the Airbus X into Prepar3D 2.2 and am trying to follow the tutorial. As you can see in this video nothing is happening. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi there, I had not flown the airbus in a while and since I had, I had installed an Asus soundcard into my machine. I have noticed another user experiencing the same issues. Everything is great up to the point where the PNF says starting engine 2, PF calls engine 2 stabilized then sounds and checklists just start messing up. I also notice a lot of switch click sounds and the ATC sounds disappear. I have tried switching devices in FSX and windows, 2 complete clean re installs of the bus but still no joy. When installing the Asus PCI sound card I had to disable on board audio in the BIOS and un install the Realtek on board sound drivers. My sound card drivers are up …

I'm pretty sure I am missing something somewhere that is causing the checklist to get stuck. All checklists work flawlessly until I land then everything stops. After I touchdown I hear "ground spoilers" and that's it. Nothing else is said beyond that point. Any ideas what I could be missing that's causing this? Also if I look back at MCDU2 after landing I see the landing checklist grayed out with a star next to it and final is lit up in green which confuses me how that could happen. Thanks for any help

Hello, I am trying to import my own voice files in .wav format to Sounds_ASC and in total 114 files (excluding ACC_PF_Recive.wav which was not in the directory (which is not in the directory yet heard on a push start from right MCDU, we have ATC clearance for push and start, please confirm ground equipment and services clear) So I recorded them in WMA and converted them using LAME-MP3 codec and 128 bitrate to .wav. File sizes are under 10 or maximum 80 kilobytes as opposed to Mathjis voices at 200 + kb. Now I over-wrote Mathjis sound files (PF) and opened FSX. It loads then gives me Direct Sound Error for all files copied on loading the model. What am I d…

Hello, so I got the AXE yesterday and I can't get the FO to work. I installed MCE and it said that I should enable 'Run as admin' on FSX.exe. So I did and then the installation started and it said installation succesful yet the 'Checklist' font is greyed out. And so is cabin sounds. And opening the 'MCE' program wont work either because I'm missing 'US Language pack' which I don't understand. It's a Swedish W8 OS and I did install (I think) a language pack but it still won't work :/ Any ideas? EDIT: This is the moment where I realize that I'm a genious... I forgot to load the aircraft in Cold and dark :/

I want to submit a wish if I may. With checklists and the copilot enabled, hints as to what to do next are displayed on the top of the screen. One of these is "Roll to runway ..." Can you please make that "Taxi to runway ..."?

How do you make sure you save realistic company routes? I only want to save jetways but when I save them as company routes, the sid/star is saved also.

A320 does not pause at TOD. Flight Options "Pause at TOD" when "on" does not pause the ac. It just keeps going. This has worked in the pass but no longer does it seem to function. Is there something, setting, etc. that could cause it not to function? You guys are good at having solved all my problems so far but has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Walt

Hi All, I'm new on the ABX so I am on a steep learning curve. I am working through the 'Step by Step' guide which starts off by setting several options and the 'Cold and Dark' panel configuration, but these don't seem to stick when I re-load a saved flight or when I re-load a ABX aircraft in a new flight. I suspect it is a permission issue to the configuration directory but I don't seem to be able to locate a configuration file. I have ABX loaded into the default FSX directory, i.e /Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X, and a set full access rights to this directory and the /Users/me/My Documents, and /Users/me/AppData directo…

Hi all, I write here to describe several small mistakes/bugs in the right MCDU. However, most of the bugs will not happen if you start your flight and fly to your destination without doing any turn around after that. They happen only after you arrive in your destination and make another flight (to another destination) with a checklist restarts by itself after waiting for while (the time which is counting down automatically by the right MCDU). So, it happens in your second, third, etc. trip with the same aircraft. Do not quit your flight, otherwise you will not find the bugs. Title says it all. Did a flight from KATL/KMIA. No problems whatsoever. Taxied to the gate, choose turn around state and nothing I do can get the checklist or co-pilot active again.

My copilot calls prepare for takeoff too far from the holding point.
