This month we'll focus on Landings which includes preparing for and after landing images. The screenshot MUST contain any variant of the A340 - 600/500/300/200, the aircraft must be in motion and or there is some action taking place with the aircraft which includes images of the aircraft during pushback, taxiing, takeoff roll, in-flight, configured for landing, and landing - there MUST be some sort of visible motion. Shalom and greetings all my pals,

Since @kroswyndand the Aerosoft management are too busy with their festive holiday celebrations, I thought I would help them by creating this two month screenshot contest as seen on the subject heading.

	The theme is NASTY SNOWSTORM.

There are TWO specific rules regarding the nasty snowstorm theme. If a plane is on airborne, the plane must be accompanies by heavy snowing. If a plane is on ground, the plane must be accompanied by BOTH heavy snowing and lots of snow on airport ground.

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

As all of you know that huge numbers of bush planes, helicopters, and twin propeller planes used PABE Bethel airport to run round trip relief aid flights between the airport and many many tiny or villages with tiny airports to drop off much needed supplies, to pick up wounded citizens affected by the natural disaster called Typhoon Halong, and to evacuate any survivors.

That got me thinking. The PABE Bethel airport has good runway distance enough for big jets to fly supplies from PANC or PAFA to PABE and pick up survivors to fly back WITHOUT REFUELING to the two mentioned big cities.

BUT BUT BUT the problem is that PABE Bethel airport has extremely limited aviation fuel reserves. The airport gets fresh supply of aviation fuel twice a year BY BOAT always on fall and spring to avoid frozen ice on rivers. The twice a year fuel supply is sufficient for normal flights out of PABE. HOWEVER, because of the Typhoon Halong disaster, there was massive massive stream of bush planes, tri-propeller planes, and helicopters doing relief aid and rescue flights which posed an important question: how to satisfy FUEL HUNGER of sheer volume of bush planes, tri-propeller planes, and helicopters. PABE airport's normal fuel reserves are NOT designed to handle incredible number of flights.

HENCE my theory on how PABE airport solved the problem. Bear in mind it is my theory.

Presenting emergency fuel supply flight from PAEI Eielson Air Force Base located approximately 26 miles southeast of Fairbanks to PABE Bethel Bethel Airport located three nautical miles southwest of the central business district of Bethel

 Cheers

I'm sure you don't misunderstand me, we share the p3dv4.5 platform, I don't think that we misunderstand us.

I'm here almost as long as you, 15 years by the end of this month. And I am VERY sure that the combination of Randazzos LH-B744 in combination with

our beloved p3dv4.5 platform was not always allowed in Shaun Fletcher's screenshot contests.

Or, let's rather say, the name Randazzo gained more respect since Mathijs Kok has left aerosoft... So, new times here at Aerosoft?

I really appreciate it. So, the contest now is open not only for Aerosoft aircraft (TwinOtter, A320, A321, et cetera). Good!

I'd bet the contest has never been so open since I've won it (under the eyes of Shaun Fletcher), i.e. open for orbX, open for Randazzo, ...

I'm the last man who begins a discussion about a/c types. I own my avatar.

The only thing that I tried to say is, back then in 2010, the contest in my eyes was not so very open for so called 'foreign' developers.

I'm the last man who could say that an open contest could be bad. How could I say that,

	as a longtime Randazzo customer.

So pls come back. Life is too short for misunderstandings that can be solved within a minute.

It's been a while due to work obligations. This month let's make it a little bit of a challenge, so the theme is Touchdown, and the requirement(s) are very simple.

	1. It must be an external shot
2. One or both main gears must be planted firmly on the runway

Hello fellow aviation enthusiasts and virtual photographers,

I'm in the planning stages of building a new PC dedicated entirely to flight simulation and, most importantly, capturing the highest quality screenshots possible. We all know the struggle of balancing ultra settings, complex add-ons, and a stable framerate to get that perfect, crisp shot.

While most gaming advice focuses on high-frequency CPUs, I'm looking at a different path: a used workstation with a Xeon 24 Core 2.6GHz processor. My theory is that raw single-core speed gets you high FPS, but a massive number of cores could revolutionize the screenshot workflow.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these ideas:

The "Background Beast": Imagine running MSFS on one set of cores, while another group of cores handles OBS for flawless 4K recording, a third set runs Photoshop for live edits, and a fourth manages Discord and navigates charts—all without a single stutter during the critical moment you hit the screenshot key. Is this realistic, or just a dream?

Batch Processing Power: After a long virtual flight, I often have hundreds of high-resolution PNGs that need resizing, slight color correction, or format conversion. Would the 24 cores dramatically speed up this tedious batch processing in tools like Lightroom or specialized converters, turning an hour-long task into a matter of minutes?

Virtualization for a Pristine Sim: Has anyone experimented with using a core-heavy CPU to run the simulator inside a dedicated virtual machine? The goal would be to have a perfectly clean, minimal OS environment solely for MSFS or X-Plane, eliminating all background noise from Windows to achieve maximum stability and performance for a screenshot session.

I'm curious if anyone in this creative community is using a high-core-count Xeon not just for FPS, but as a dedicated engine for a seamless and powerful content creation pipeline. Your experiences and insights would be incredibly valuable!

Happy flying, and may your frames be high and your shots be stunning.

Shalom and greetings all my pals,
Presenting historic Wein Air DC-3 flight from CHP Circle Hot Springs Airport located in Circle Hot Springs in the Yukon-Koyukuk area of Alaska to PAFA Fairbanks International Airport located three miles southwest of the central business district of Fairbanks

Circle Hot Springs was very famous for its hot spring resort with a 4-story lodge that gained statewide and international attention where rich people in Alaska usually went to that hotel for vacation

That is why Wein Air had regular service to CHP Circle Hot Springs airport as seen on this official airline timetable below that you can find my recreating of the historic flight
Well. This is a forum section which I've invented tonight, a little bit with MTV 'Guess the year' in mind.

	I love 'Guess the year',

and everytime I watch it, I'm quite sucessful. Now, this is 'guess the airport', and an hour ago I thought, no clues . But that would be unfair,

'Guess the year' always gives you a clue,

namely the complete music video, without singer, without song title .

So, let me give you a clue. This picture originated with the help of orbx,

	but you can't buy it.

	Which airport is it?

PS: There's another contest here on this platform, which is renewed every 4 weeks. Which is a long time.

Let me look here into this topic if somebody has a solution after 2 weeks,

I started the Dortmund EDLW airport project last year. But he did not announce it. Wanted to do some work. Also, I wanted to alpha test the project, hear feedback from testers and move on.

So, my new project for MSFS is Dortmund Airport.

There is a free Dortmund project for MSFS that Christian did. It's a great project, but it's a bit out of date. Regarding compatibility. The airport will not be directly compatible. It is clear. But, I will not make a city. Therefore, the city of Dortmund that Christian made will be compatible with my project.

There is also a paid project of the airport Dortmund from the developer ARIMA. It is also a good project, but in my opinion, it has certain shortcomings and the author of the project did not fully reveal the potential of the airport and the capabilities of the MSFS.

Dortmund is one of my favorite airports and therefore, based on the above, I decided to create Dortmund Airport.

To date, most of the work has been done. A completely new terminal with an interior, animated people. For the project I made a jetway that corresponds to reality. The terrain of the airport also corresponds to the real one. Aircraft on parking lots 5-12 will be located tail to the terminal.

With Aerosoft Pushback Pro, you will be able to properly push the plane into the parking lot and push the plane out.

Profiles for GSX and Aerosoft will be made for VDGS.

I make a system of LODs for all 3D objects without exception.

Regarding the terms. Work on the project continues. I live in a country where there is a war and it is quite difficult to say anything in advance. Depression, nervous breakdowns, other reasons can affect the time of completion of work. But first, I expect to finish work on the project in the second half of the summer.

So, you can look at the screenshots of the project.
