I'm looking forward to buying the ATR too, but not before the CRJ is fixed.

BTW: The update is adding a lot of features that are not asked for. Correcting relatively small issues is what the users are looking for. We don't need a totally new version. Of course it's cool that we get nice updates to the overall product, and probably good for getting new customers onboard, but it seems almost like overkill compared to the expectations here... Even a small forum post with some details about the progress would make your current customers happy.

Well, I guess this is one way to do it.  I guess that in some way, denying yourself something you want will teach AS a lesson.  More than likely though, it won't and shouldn't matter to them, but you do you.

Just not interested in purchasing or using it before the CRJ is functioning to a better level. To each their own. Don't think Aerosoft is involved with the ATR though.

Hans Hartmann is the developer for both the CRJ and ATR. The CRJ published by Aerosoft and the ATR by MS. I'm not sure what other aircraft he was involved with, though.

Yes, and if you actually read my post that mr. C. answered to, you should understand that I obviously know that...

You would not have to guess my name if I worked for AS.  As to the rest of your dribble, you sound like most people today who just resort to calling people/companies names instead of being able to rationalize a position.  I flew the CRJ yesterday and had no issues completing the flight.  It is, in its current condition better than any default aircraft (I said default and meant default).  Is it PMDG? No.  However, I point you to their forums where you will find your peers posting daily crap about a supposed release date/timeline/lack of comms etc., for the 777.  None of you can appreciate where the industry is because you were not there at the beginning.  Fanboy, not really.  In awe at what we have today, yes.  Again, if you think it can be done better, do it.  I have done that very thing many times and my life is pretty good, and I am living life not complaining about a toy.

I have posted a few times in this thread over the course of the last year and every post up until responding to you has been pretty rational, while your posts have all been criticizing the folks that are justifiably annoyed that a product they spent money on has been left in a semi broken state with absolutely no updates in over 2 years and no indication of when it could be fixed.

Your example of the pmdg 777 isn't comparible. You will always see hype anger on a hotly anticipated product that hits delays, and that's where your example is completely off base. The 777 hasn't been released. No one has paid any money for it. The CRJ, on the other hand, is an active payware product that people have paid money for, and are still paying money for as it is still actively for sale, and as such deserves some semblance of support for the product. If support is dropped, the product should no longer be sold. Period. This is business 101.

Yeah, at the end of the day there are many other more important and pressing things people could waste their time on/complain about. That doesn't make up for the fact that AS is in the wrong on their lack of support here.

You must be new here, Crabby is the resident "everything others say is wrong and I am the only one in the right, always" poster, and also the resident Aerosoft cheerleader.

Yeah, no ive certainly seen that. I don't know why I entertained a response, just felt like rambling into the void I guess.

It’s sad really. I don’t know what happened to this company. They were first out the gate with a decent airliner with the CRJ, then the Twin Otter, which was ok, and then they announced the A330 - they looked set to be a major player in MSFS. And then it all just fell to pieces. Shifting internal priorities, staff changes, unfortunate planning decisions, some other kind of upheaval. I guess we’ll never really know 🤷‍♂️

Another aircraft that will be "renovated" based on the development of the MSFS:

This remains the case. Our flight model developer is currently rebuilding the Hawk’s flight model from scratch to take full advantage of everything that has been learned since the Hawk’s initial release, as well as using the latest MSFS SDK from SU15. These things take time, but work is ongoing and we will update everyone once there is something significant to announce.

Mark - Just Flight

Copied from subforum Just Flight Hawk T.1 of MSFS...

While some of us will continue to wait... to some extent

I wouldn't hold my breath for an update.  From what I'm reading, the Twin Otter is coming back as a MSFS 24 default aircraft, with Ini redoing the model and guess who doing the systems.

Anything but working on the CRJ it seems like.

At this point, PMDG is able to release entire airplanes faster than Aerosoft is able to push out an update to the CRJ..... How embarrassing that must be...

And you continue to write like a teenager. How embarrassing that must be.

Aerosoft has pushed out several products on a continual basis, whilst PMDG that you refer to has a very limited catalogue of products. Apple and oranges.

Please refer to other airplanes that Aerosoft has 'pushed out' - taking of course into account that publishing things is not the same as creating things, and that the people that create sceneries (numerous different people and teams, both internal and external to Aerosoft) tend to not at all be involved with creating (and updating 😒) aircraft.

yes, thanks for stating the obvious.

Clearly not *that* obvious to you, because you’re the one that said they’ve released “several products”, whereas I’m saying “No they haven’t, if you discount sceneries and published stuff”. They’ve released exactly 0 planes since the Twotter, planes that they’ve made themselves, under the Aerosoft label.

But anyway, let’s not let this devolve into another typical vitriolic Aerosoft forum thread.

and here we go with the obvious again; Aerosoft is much more than an aircraft-addon-developer.

  • 2 weeks later...

It’s now July - beginning to wonder whether they’re just gonna ride it out and just wait till FS2024 is out. And then they’re forced to do finally do some work, because of course they want that juicy new-sim dollar 😒

I hope I’m wrong!
