No no don't worry the major update is close... Aaaaany minute now.

And if it's anything like all the past patches of the CRJ, and looking at the progression (read: none, zero, nada) of the ATR, most likely will end to be the same.

As usual I expect the CORE bugs still there, not even being looked at, and a changelog shorter than my pet fish shopping list. But hey look new cabin, a slightly changed EFB and some minor random changes.

And when in the next months people will keep asking for a patch to fix the bugs the answer will be still: "hey you have got a patch 8 months ago" and then "an update is coming, don't ask when".

Just to name ONE of the very basic stuff: the LNAV swerving left and right on both aircraft, sometimes even missing waypoints (and not being able to fly an Hold for the CRJ, don't know about the ATR but I guess it's the same) for me it's mind blowing...

To my knowledge they are the only aircrafts in the whole hundreds bunch in MSFS to do that, and at this point it's not a bug anymore but it's a feature™

Got me once with the CRJ, but thankfully I skipped the ATR. More than happy to skip whatever will come next by the same devs, unless a miracle occurs (and I hope for it but we all know the chances after almost 4 years since release are minute, infinitesimally small)

I was actually very impressed by the CRJ at first glance, so was hoping for it's issues being fixed, and then I was planning to buy the ATR.

The strange thing is that all Aerosoft planes are of questionable quality if you are looking for realism, and for a single case where they develop a plane with greater realism, they abandon it. Airbus and Boeing have many projects, but with CRJ is where they can gain a fanbase as PMDG has done in Boeing, Leonardo in Maddog...

Bad decisions, and with the amount of planes that are being developed, these will stop being bought, Aerosoft continues with the strategy of making many low-quality products and selling in quantity instead of building customer loyalty and gaining prestige with quality products.

More products = Less development hours and lower quality. Ex.: Aerosoft
Less products = More development hours and higher quality. Ex.: PMDG, Leonardo, Fenix Sim... the best developers and sellers...

Then we have the combination of both, long long log development (4 years) with low low low quality 😶

... Thursday of next week marks one year since Hartmann wrote the "recommended post" that appears in at the top of this "conversation" ...

... In the meantime, as I've read, many are very busy trying to get a quick update of their A300  ...

I promise you that there will be a CRJ update, although it will likely not be released before the end of the year, that it will be a major one, that it will include the much awaited LNAV/VNAV fixes as well as Simbrief, Navigraph Charts, an updated model with a detailed cabin and more.

Which year, Hans?

This “deafening silence” on the part of the developer and Aerosoft is simply unbelievable.

You could almost think that the update is being deliberately delayed as long as possible to spite the grumbling, unworthy and “ignorant” rabble until the very end.

What I find annoying, is that we are not served small fixes. We don't need a huge V2 update, but fixing broken features is what we are looking for, so that we could enjoy an already great plane we've payed for, but is just parked in the hangar.

I bet you $50 there will be a "Paid" upgrade to MSFS 2024 with the fixes we all have waited for, for the last two years, We are being played like a cheap secondhand fiddle   . .

And it will still not be able to fly a LNAV, ever ..

I’m as tempted to take on that bet as much I’m tempted to bet on Jake Paul this weekend, not at all since we already know where it’s going haha

If you watched the Twitch stream of MSFS2024 today, Hans showed two planes he is making for the new sim. The Porter PC-6 and...... the Twin Otter. Well, looking at that stream, to put it mildly, let's just let go the expectations that the CRJ will ever get updated thoroughly. As said before, will never buy a plane made by Aerosoft anymore. Too much disappointment in the after sales "service".

and now, some developers (A2A, Parallel 42, as an example) have pointed out that aircraft (at least those that can be considered as "studio level") will need "adaptations" for the MSFS 2024.

That is, that Hartman must publish the update that he has repeated several times that will be in the MSFS ...

... and he will also have to make a second one, to adapt the "remasterized" CRJ to the MSFS2024...😂

Sadly, at this point I hope the CRJ is not compatible with 2024 just so there's a chance another developer creates a version of this aircraft. The complete disregard of customers and lack of communication has been shockingly bad. Given how things went with this, the Twin Otter, and especially the A330, I will be surprised if Aerosoft ever attempts another plane. Extremely disappointing.
