  1. For the A340, EFB and replay function. There is one feature that would be really nice, if its possible. When you are doing a replay, it would be great to have a button, maybe called "take control" which lets you end the replay and then fly the airplane from that point in the replay yourself. Lets say you are doing landing practice, or as we sometimes do, we botched a landing, we could rewind the replay and then click "take control" and just fly the final again for another attempt, without having to specifically make a save point on short final.
  2. I dunno, I know they love to use that excuse, but it is sold as an "Aerosoft" branded product, so I couldn't care less who the actual developer is, I bought an Aerosoft branded product, and I expect Aerosoft to provide first party level support for it. But both the CRJ and the Twin Otter were two Aerosoft branded products that really shafted their customers, more so on the Twin Otter. Which is why I am not buying any more Aersoft aircraft until this is improved
  3. As long as it will receive attention and prompt updates, then this can still become a great airplane. Just hope its not gonna be another 2-3 years for an update....
  4. Finally, a release date is set for March 25, announced in their discord. A bit puzzling that there's no communication at all here in the forum, but I guess they don't deem it as an important communication channel ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hopefully this will bring the CRJ up to the standard that the price suggests, and I also hope it wont take years until the next update as I am sure there will be a need for bugfixing in the v2. I am cautiously optimistic, but also worried that this may be the last update in years again.....
  5. I fully agree, though I would still pay 5 or 10 bucks for it if it means I can finally fly it. Guess it's kind of a sunk cost fallacy thing, though I'd wait of course and see how it really is before paying, if it's actually good I would pay for the upgrade, if it's the same old crap with annoying bugs that never gets fixed then I'll just cut my losses and move on.
  6. So it's weird to expect communication and updates through official channels and from the developer on a product you paid 70 USD for? Ok, got it... lol This teaser would be appropriate if it was accompanied with a official post from the developer. When its just randomly put out there, it's more like a "look, the update exists" and we still don't have any information about what it contains or even what year it will arrive.... Nor is there any stance regarding 2024 support, now that 2020 is a dying sim, potentially making the CRJ update irrelevant if it doesn't have 2024 support or a upgrade path (yes, I would actually pay for a 2024 upgrade for a nominal fee, if it means I can finally fly the CRJ that I paid for)...
  7. Well, the thing is, that short video which really doesn't show that much or mention if the existing bugs has been addressed just rubs people the wrong way. Yes, it is nice to finally see a small proof of an update that we have all been waiting for, but at the same time, where's the developer? Wheres the project manager? Why haven't we heard a thing from any official channel? Yes, it's not abnormal to post a preview or short video, but it IS abnormal to spend 2-3 years to update an addon that has reported bugs and issues, and go radio silent for 1-2 years while doing so, and at the same time, publicly appear in streams where it is clear that the developer is quite happy to discuss updates of other products they are working on from someone else. When you sell a product, especially at a premium price point, you get a level of customer expectation, where at the very least we would expect that bugs that are reported and verified are fixed, and that there are some level of maintenance of the product through the lifetime of it. And Aerosoft has failed pretty hard on this through the lifetime of MSFS2020, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect better.
  8. The negativity from me and many others here is down to being utterly fed up with being gaslighted about this update for over 2 years. While it is good to see a video about this mythical update, it is fairly lackluster considering the time it has taken. I can only hope it was an "early preview" or something. I think we can all agree that the "customer interaction" in this case is completely nonexistent. With the price we paid for this product, I think we should expect better than this. Twin Otter, CRJ and A330, I think the track record in project management on these are pretty bad
  9. The bad marketing is in that there has been complete radio silence from the developer regarding this for more than a year, while at the same time he has been publicly busy making airplanes for Microsoft. And considering this is an update of an existing airplane, Just Flight is able to develop airplanes faster than this, and they are known for taking their time. Not to mention PMDG, known for taking their time, yet can still develop complete airplanes faster than Aerosoft is able to produce an update... That is the bad marketing. All developers, even those famous for taking their time, are able to communicate with the customers. That is key to maintain some customer relationships, complete radio silence like this will not do Aerosoft or any developer any favours. I bought the Twin Otter, and the complete CRJ bundle. Got burned on both, avoided the A330 like the plague it was and I will not be buying any airplane from Aerosoft again until this changes.
  10. Because this isnt marketing, at the very least it is incredibly bad marketing. This is a product that is already for sale that has been neglected for years.
  11. If it's indeed entering beta testing, that should mean that it is "feature complete" and just need polishing. That is good to know, but I really don't understand the logic behind the total radio silence. Not one single post about what is included in this update, not a single screenshot or anything. Only this one beta tester that had a short limited glance of what is coming. All this is going to do is to annoy the customer base, not a great way to provide customer service.... Would it really hurt that bad to make a post about the update? At this stage, if it is in beta testing, there should also be some idea on how long it will take to iron out the last bugs and do the final polishing, so some indication on how long it will take would go a long way to redeem some of the lost trust from customers. After years of waiting, I think that is the least we could expect from a payware developer.
  12. The fact that this is still being sold at FULL PRICE of 70 USD is a scam at this point. Aerosoft is quickly joining ranks with the likes of Captainscam for me. The only thing that is still good is sceneries, but airplanes are simply a joke. Look at the portfolio: CRJ, Twin Otter, A330....
  13. At this point, Microsoft/Asobo has built an entirely new flight simulator in a shorter time than it has taken to release an update for the CRJ....
  14. Maybe, maybe not. At this point we have way more information about the ATR update and whatever else project Hans was working on with Microsoft, than we have of any CRJ update. If its so close to release (promised several times with vague "deadlines" that has always been pushed, now with a vague "before MSFS2024" deadline from a third party (not Hans)), you'd think there would be something that could be shown. Some other Aerosoft people has hinted that it is a "massive" update, almost a rework, new modeling, texturing, etc., if that really is the case, why is there not even a teaser screenshot of any sort showing anything about the CRJ? There's just nothing. If it was indeed roughly a month away from release, you cant tell me there's nothing to say or show about it. So I don't believe it until I see it. We've heard it before, it's coming soon, yet it never comes.
  15. Summer ended, no update in sight. What a surprise... lol
