  1. Oh, oh, oh, at least please try to behave respectful on this forum. Please don´t forget that this is a forum of aerosoft and THEIR products and you are a guest. Nobody forces you to read this forum or join the discussions. If you like the upcoming aerosoft Airbus, you are welcome to bring in your thoughts, questions and ideas, but there is no space and no need for discredit... Timo

  3. My good friend, we are certainly willing to start a project that might be able to certified by the EASA and JAA in at least part of the systems. Will costs a few hundred thousands dollars though! I think you don't fully understand the scope of this project but it might be a good idea to scroll back a few pages. I am sure there will be other Airbus projects that will be more detailed, I think those would suit you better. This project is in all aspects intended for customers like me, who like to fly complex aircraft without having to read 500 pages.

  4. I just don't see the point... Bye...

  5. Like Chris said, that´s not possible. I´ve been in many different Full Flight Sims in the last seven years and had also some chances to simulate engine failures, loss of hydraulics and strong crosswinds, etc etc. Believe me, a PC-based simulator like FSX cannot calculate the complex physics behind those abnormal situations. Compared with professional sims, FSX is an eyecandy game. If professional pilots use personal computers for training, then just so called CBT´s (computer based training) to simulate system failures or the FMC/FCU etc., but not to simulate flight dynamics. 6. So you think that real Airbus pilots will use FSX to train abnormal procedures? I know some developers might like to say so, but let me assure you that a pilot who would do so would be in major problems with his employer. Training of these things has to be done under very strict and confined conditions to make any sense. If not done so it's highly dangerous. Pilots know that, they are on the whole well educated and intelligent people.

  7. But wich real pilot does this do in FSX? Especially with a produkt wich has been marked to be made for another target group?
    3 points
  8. You intimated that professional pilots use FSX for training. That was your point. Mathijs has made it clear that this product is not aimed at advanced users. So, simulating rare failure modes is not of interest here. Even if the concept was considered it is doubtful that FSX could accurately reflect the changes in control surface response, flight dynamics, stress on the airframe. That would require an immense amount of complex modelling, far beyond the development cost of the average flight sim market. No doubt parameters would be involved that FSX hasn't been designed to accept. It would be fun to attempt emergency situations. But there just wouldn't be any realism at a reasonable cost. Chris

  10. I took these pictures from the bedroom window from 1st June 2010 till today 19th July 2010...I expect my little friends will leave tomorrow or the next day http://www.petermcleland.com/Swallows2010 You will need to click the central "Play" icon at the bottom or the Foreward or Back icons either side of it...You may also want to key F11 to go into Full Screen Mode

  18. Here is one sweet looking scenery scenery project. Of course Gibraltar is one of those scenery projects that is always spectacular because of the layout, the geography and the fact it is all so condensed into one small area but simWings did an amazing job on Gibraltar X. The scenery will you surprises you with new things even months after you started using you. The use of AESlite to control the cars is especially impressive and something you have not yet seen in FSX. And FS2004 version will follow soon. Highly recommended! Links: [Product Page] More Screenshots

  20. Hello James, It just save's a load of Hassle in Windows especially 64bit systems as security can get pretty tight in the default Program Files folder. Files dont get written to etc etc. So best if you can place it on a drive of it owns somewhere. As for Nicolde have you tried writing to her on her usual address.

  21. Thanks Chaders I've put the Swallows on Flickr with captions:- It should play in full screen mode but if not, move your pointer near the bottom right corner and a row of thumbnails will appear with an Icon for Full Screen Mode at the extreme right...Click it then move your pointer away to let the thumbnails vanish

  22. The FSX Display settings, not the Catalyst driver controls. FSX>Settings page>customize>first tab there (Display)>last box down from the global texture resolution slider.

  23. Hello Jules, Do you have Advanced Animations checked in the Settings Graphics options.

  24. Sure that is possible. You can simply remove AES from the scenery library and then delete the AES folder in the aerosoft folder. Then you can reinstall AES v2.07 That on the other hand is not possible, because otherwise the credits system would make any sense if you could easily remove and add the airport assignments.

  25. Recently saw these on the Outerra website. Their game engine is looking really rather good now. I read somewhere that they have about 3 or 4 combat flight sims interested. Rhydian update: This video got released this morning (04/07/2010). Looks like it has a lot of potential. Blimey... I am very confused as to why somebody has voted this post down. Have I offended anybody?

  27. couldn't agree with you more! I am really looking forward to this release. Took me quite some time reading all the preview posts, but in the end it only made me more excited. love the balance in sytem depth. Visually it's the best I have seen so far. But e'm back to the topic. (sorry I just had to post my opinion ) William

  28. Now Hirth is gone can someone answer my question from the previous page or I am going to Airsimmers as well and I will wait 4 years for a product that everyone complains about and then I will wait another year for a patch that everyone complains about and then I will simulate an APU fire and then never use the failure system again. No I think I will be better off here. If you have trouble at the start with a developer ( or anything) don't be surprise if you have trouble at the end. Now lets stop talking about Airsimmer etc and start talking about Aerosofts A320. ( comments by this person may or may not be taking seriously) Tony

  31. post deleted because the poster has no idea what has been happening in this project (for example it does NOT use pure MS FSX flight models)

  32. I have looked at many of the pages but is EGKK London Gatwick going to be added (or not) Im suprised that its not on your list !! link to software add on http://www.uk2000scenery.com/newsite/My_Homepage_Files/Page8.html thanks

  33. Okay, im coming at this from an alternative angle as previously in the past. Is it possible to remove AES totally from my FS2004 and then start cleanly re-entering my "keycodes" to assign compatible airports with AE Services? So in a nutshell, i wish to just start/assign from scracth

  34. Yes but we users cannot afford a professionel Simulator like the real one! So Why not giving us the chance to simulate These things in fsx? That is the point here!

  35. I do not know if you know for what real pilots use the flightsim so I will tell you . They are simulating abnormal situation which are not comming up very often in real!

  36. I am sure not your friend! I will wait for Airsimmer, the cockpit looks better, too!
