Der richtige PC für den MSFS2024
Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] replied to PH1073's topic in Hardware with MSFS
I did not even consider that. You are 100% right, though. That fact locks it squarely in the current hardware demands. -

As FS2024 is built using the same Asobo engine, I would expect very little (if any) change in system requirements. As before, you will need a solid CPU to get enough FPS and a solid GPU to make them look good. Surprisingly, people seem to forget that simple rule all the time. -

Very good advice, however (you knew it was coming, right?).... I think you overlook DLSS 3. A friend asked me to build him a new machine for MSFS, and I took some time to experiment with that technology for the first time. And it is, as so many people already said, a total game changer for MSFS and X-Plane. Switch off DLSS 3, and we got 44 fps in one of my standard test locations; switch it on, and we got 83 fps. On a very solid 4k monitor, I was unable to see any difference unless I was extremely close to the screen. This was on a 4070 card. I have an AMD card, so I know the AMD equivalent technology, FSR, but in my experience, it does not bring the same increase in framerates and lowers the virtual cockpit's sharpness and crispiness. Of course, drivers determine this to a great degree, but I have not seen a major improvement in the last months. So I think I will switch from my work machines back to Nvidia at this moment. -

I am 100% sure the devs have read this and will take the comment as consideration. -
SimWings EDDM v2 - A lot of improvements
Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] replied to MatthiasKNU's topic in Airports
Of course, that is possible, but that easily triples the amount of polygons and resource use. For a smallish object like this, not a problem, but that just leaves the next object that could use a few more polygons open to discussion. A good modeler (and this project is done by one!) will decrease the level of detail the further you get from a normal viewpoint. The image you show is a view that is simply not where an aircraft crew would ever see it. When I look at it from a closeby stand, it is not something that stands out in my opinion. If I would be the modeler, I would not add more polygons to this object. If I had some to spare, I would always use them to make a very close more detailed object. -

Twin Otter in 2024?
Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] replied to catchymussel's topic in General Discussion (no support)
Why? You bought it for what it offers, you are using it now, you have been using it for a good time, and you will be able to use it as long as you want. No value is lost. MSFS2024 is not around the corner any way. -

Nothing we can announce at this moment. -
No idea; we'll have to see at the release and then decide if we will update the products. Sales for P3D are almost zero at this moment to be honest.

We had hidden two small hints in the last screenshots of Oslo. No one had found it well; one clue was also difficult to discover the next mega airport will be none other than the largest German airport - EDDF Frankfurt. Under the direction of Jo Erlend and Lukas (Head of the internal airport dev team), we have been working with a team of 7 on the MSFS implementation for several months. Here are a few impressions from the ongoing development.

I know it is one of the issues that will be looked at in the pending update. When you say, " Of course, a small amount of hysteresis is to be expected, but not at the magnitude shown by the CRJ simulation. " is that based on real-world experience? As far as I know, how it is now is pretty much as it should be, but as said, it will be looked at. Any solid information it is not would help us a lot. Thank you for your comment!

I believe the developers are still waiting for an issue to be solved, but will try to find out new information.
