Hallo Zusammen,
Danke.
This is indeed very intersting and if the Authentikit is freeware, it is certainy worth trying it.
vJoy works well. I have used it and it is really a must have.
Actually, I think the main issue is that you unit hasn't the expected number of pulses per revolution if you actually counted 5 to 9 ppr.
Maybe the encoder is faulty.
However, if you want to give Authentikit a try, it can't harm anything.
Vielen Dank
Just quickly, before I jump down that rabbit hole, I found this YouTube that addresses the precise issue I'm experiencing.
I've watched this thing about 5 times now (since his voice is sufficient to etch glass, I should get some credit for that), this YouTube is over two years old. It appears that this is an ongoing problem with the Honeycomb trim wheel and must be considered okay with Honeycomb.
So, again, before I drop into the nightmare of returning something to an Amazon vendor, am I just going to get the same thing back (only something that was returned by someone else, i.e., reconditioned?) and end up having the same conversation with that only with used equipment?
I haven't tried the "solution" posed by the YouTube guy and am wondering if this is it. I also noticed other YouTubes showing the same thing for MSFS2025. I'm kinda losing enthusiasm for all this and, with the money I dropped into this system that was supposed to be basically plug and play, I'm getting very discouraged.
So, if you take just a minute or two to see how the trim wheel is acting in this YouTube, and if you tell me that it's broken and ought to be working better and I shouldn't need to use this workaround it's one thing. However, if you tell me that this is the way it's intended to work (i.e., the way it works before he applies this third party patch) then it's something else entirely.
Again, thank you for your help.
