Hi there,
I’ve been really impressed with the A340 systems so far - great work on that aspect of the aircraft.
However, I did want to ask about the quality of the 3D external model. Given the price point, the level of detail and accuracy seems noticeably lower than what I expected, and in some areas it appears less refined than previous releases, including your P3D Airbuses. I’m curious if you could provide some insight into the decisions behind the current external model fidelity.
For example, are you using the ToLiss XP external model? Are there any plans to further refine or update the external visuals in future updates?
For context, I’ve been comparing the newly released A340 with screenshots of your A330 in P3D. I understand that the aircraft are different, but since the A330 and A340 share very similar wing structures, it doesn’t seem like that alone would account for the visible difference in modeling detail. From the images attached, the fidelity appears noticeably lower, which is why it stood out to me.
One specific detail I noticed is that the slats appear to have a darker grey metallic finish, which doesnt make sense for the A346. I wanted to mention it in case it’s something that might be reviewed.
I appreciate all the work that has gone into the project and would be very interested to hear more about the external model.
Thanks very much for your time,
Roderick.
