  1. Posting after the topic was closed, not fair I know, but it is relevant. "because the most big players are updated the planes for SU5 but AS is still behind." I am not sure what 'big players' you talk about that offer the same system depth as the CRJ. As far as we can see there are no other add-ons covering modern airliners that come close. The PMDG DC-6 is fantastic, we love it. but is 1950 technology and thus very doable in MSFS at this moment. The issue(s) we have can NOT be fixed by us and need assistance from Asobo. It really is as simple as that. News is good however. A solution is being tested.

  2. So do we. I can only say we exhausted all options. I worked 16 hours this weekend. But we think we are close to a solution.

  5. Meanwhile I found at the Microsoft forum a solution, which worked for me (Important: You have to restart the sim before the changes takes effect): https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/to-those-of-you-with-missing-custom-jetways/432578

  6. Ok, as per Your suggestion I move the Chrome minimized button in taskbar to a right position. In attached picture my original EFB and Chrome minimized position tab and I think You are right. Probably if I click on Chrome the click goes also to the EFB. Thank You

  8. I am pleased to announce that Albert and I teamed-up again to create another scenery package for X-Plane: SocietyIslands4XPlane. In a first step we focus on Bora Bora & all the other Leeward Islands: Raiatea & Tahaa, Huahine, Maupiti and Tupai – to name just the major ones. As usual for our creations, you can look forward to a custom terrain mesh combined with custom overlays, a couple of airports and a bunch of helipads – everything bundled in a single package. In this thread I will keep you informed about the progress. Further information can be found in the developer blog. First articles are already available, further will follow shortly. You can also follow us on Facebook so you don't miss any news.

  10. Hi, just another comment as I was astonished that it was not highlighted so far here in the forum. Since Update 5 the trim is far to sensitive to adjust with trim buttons to get a stable leveled flight. It's again a purely Asobo issue as also the small Chessna's cannot be properly trimmed anymore as the trim is reaction far too fast. I observed the same on the CRJ and it makes it a lot more difficult to land manually and find a stable approach path (up ...down..up..etc) Again..no fault from Aerosoft just maybe you can vote on MS Forum to get this one also fixed by them asap to make flying the CRJ again easier. thx https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/bug-logged-elevator-trim-doesnt-work-as-pre-su5-and-its-impossible-to-fly/428197 Marc

  12. Hello Jan, Yes, this is fairly common behavior with any jet aircraft where the anti-ice system draws bleed air from the engine and directs it to the anti-icing system. Because of this extra bleed air demand for the anti-air system the engines spool up a little on idle settings. You can read more about Ice & Rain Protection from the documents vol5 Aircraft Operating manual part 2 where you'll find this information from page 82
    1 point
  13. Yes. Anti-ice systems need bleed air, and to produce more bleed air, the idle N1 is increased. For cowl anti-ice only, it's to about 30% and for cowl and wing anti-ice it's 35%.

  15. Those are require the use of LVARS .. you will need an application like SPAD.neXt / AAO / FSUIPC for this.

  16. Also, the VOR course sync now works correctly- when you press the center of the CRS knob with a VOR tuned, the CDI will auto-rotate to center the needle on the “TO” course to the VOR.

  19. Hi MisterATL1983, Indeed, as BenBaron said, the axes have to be assigned in the simulator itself. Axes are usually the easier, less complex part. Just make sure they are correctly calibrated first, then assign them, make sure no other device has axes assigned to the same function to avoid conflicts, and finally make sure the null zone and sensitivity are set according to you needs. If you have doubts, just start with maximum sensitivity and zero null zone. Best regards.

  22. For some, including my self, this has worked for the Hud-problem. Start MSFS, chose a default Aircraft (the TBM for example), quit to desktop. Now when you start MSFS again you can chose the CRJ again and start a flight and the HUD is back to normal. Always before you quit MSFS to desktop, remember to change back to a default aircraft. Why this work I dont know, but for me and several other users it does... Best of luck to you!

  27. Guys, I'm sorry that this happens. Please understand that we (Aerosoft and myself) really can't do anything about it. For those who are interested, here's what's going on: You all know the beloved 10 minute wait when the CRJ is loaded for the first time. During these 10 minutes, the .WASM file in the aircraft's panel folder is compiled into a Windows DLL (Dynamic Link Library) which then is loaded by Flight Simulator. The wait was annoying but the process worked (except for some who used older CPUs). With the 1.18.13.0 update, an additional compiler option ("-fast-math") was introduced to make the WASM code even faster. Unfortunately this option has a nasty side effect: it causes decreased calculation precision (faster execution = lower precision; slower execution = higher precision) with the effect that values close can become zero. This happens in a sub-term of the indicated airspeed calculation with the result that the whole formula becomes zero. As a consequence, all three airspeed indicators are stuck at zero. The "Fast WASM compilation" option disables -fast-math and as a result, the airspeed indicator works. Once I started using this option, the problem was gone for me. But of course I didn't know that was the reason. Being able to track this down was like a win in the lottery. I only found out by pure because after installing the release 1.18.13.0, the airspeed indicator was stuck again and when I went into the dev mode menu, "Fast WASM Compilation" was disabled. I enabled it and the airspeed indicator worked. So, I tried switching fast compilation on and off a few more times and also asked the CRJ beta testers to give it a try. They confirmed that my finding was right and so I reported it to Asobo who, after some more testing confirmed it and gave me the technical information that I told you above. The bottom line is: It is now known what the problem is and how to fix it. All that is needed is an MSFS update where the fix is deployed. This brings us to the question that all of you want to ask me: "When?". Unfortunately, my answer is: I don't know. Sorry.

  29. @mathijs Kok I must say, of ALL the companies that make flight sim add-ons I have NEVER seen a person from one of those "other" companies quickly reply and be so involved with the people on the forums as much as you sir, you constantly give us news and updates on projects happening at Aerosoft and actually read the comments from the community here in the forum, outstanding commitment. As for the Otter, again outstanding work done from you and your team at Aerosoft, I'm sure that the Twin Otter will be a Hot seller, like many here I am looking forward to purchasing this magnificent aircraft from Aerosoft when it becomes available, it will truly be one of the best aircraft that will be flown more often than any other aircraft for MSFS2020 in my opinion. Thank you and your team for all the hard work that you all have devoted into making this masterpiece for us all to enjoy. Bob

  31. All FS hardware that has both input output bus requires a software to bridge. E.g. CDU, MCP, Radio Panel. Even if you are using Saitek/Logitech device that has display, you also requires their software to interface between the sims and hardware. There's no workaround. When a manufacturer states plug n play, it meant the device is programmed and mapped ready to be use without the additional programing or mapping knowledge such as those using FSUIPC or LINDA. For those device or own built device there's a tedious process of coding each control key to get the correct behaviour in the sims. Flight Sim is a long journey and will have its own satisfaction when you get all different things to come together and work. It requires a lot of patience, troubleshooting skills and a passion to learn continuously. I hope you start to enjoy the journey and find great joy in the process. Cheers, have fun and fly safe!

  32. Hi Dornier728, This mainly happens with hubs as they usually reenumerate the ports when something is disconnected. Each usb device has a 7 bit identifier (so 2^7 gives a maximum of 128 devices connectable). What sometimes messes the things up is that the USB hub is also considered as a usb device and, when disconnected and reconnected, sometimes gets a new identifier (or is "reenumerated") The identifier is given according to the order they are found. There isn't much the simulator (and even less the hardware) can do about that. I would suggest make sure all the devices and controls are connected as you want before configuring them in the simulator, then save the configuration under specific profile names. If the configuration is messed up for any reason, just reload the saved profiles. Aslo make sure you always have some USB ports free incase you need to add some extra device. This will avoid disconnecting the ones already connected. Also always use externally powered hubs. Best regards.

  35. Hi and welcome to our forums. This is actually not strange but by design: the HC configurator only deals with buttons, not with axis as those can be defined fully via P3D alone. Thats why you autopilot section works, but not the axis...you have to define them yourselves directly in P3D.

  42. Actually, I am glad that there are more people out there with this issue. I was already questioning myself... Hope this can be fixed soon, I am a little bit pissed right now, to be honest. Regardless of this issue, I am admiring the amazing work on this aircraft, but exactly this is what triggers me most: That I can not try it right now!

  43. Microsoft Flight Simulator's WebAssembly sandbox is able to deal with certain errors that would cause a CTD (Crash to Desktop) in other simulations. However, these errors will lead to a termination of the program that simulates the aircraft. If this happens, you will notice that all of the animations (knobs, switches etc.) will still work and the aircraft will keep flying, but all displays will appear to be frozen and any no mouse clicks in the cockpit will do anything. To find out if you ran across such an error, you can open the Console window in the DevMode menu (you have to activate the developer mode in the Options window first, but I guess, most of you have done that anyway to be able to see the framerate counter) and enter "WASM" into the text field labelled "Filter". If you see a white line telling you about an exception, mostly 0xc000001d (Illegal Instruction) or 0xc0000005 (Memory access error, also known as "NULL pointer"), then this happened. To be able to fix it, we would need to know what the last thing was that you did before the error occurred. That said, at this point (before release), we are not aware of any such errors, so this post is "just in case".

  45. Hallo, wenn es unter dem neuen OSX Catalina zu Problemen mit X-Plane 11 kommt, wie z.B "Resources/rand.bin" file not found! This must be installed for me to have random numbers. oder mac.xpl kann nicht geöffnet werden ... usw .... dann bitte Folgendes probieren.

  49. Yes I was being my light hearted facetious self. No need in my opinion to set a date. There is plenty to do in life, I would hope for everyone, while waiting. I just find it funny all the "can you please tell us when the patch is coming out because that helps a lot" crowd. I imagine them in their parents basement with a bag of Cheetos and a Mountain Dew waiting on the MSFS hotfix and CRJ update. Cheers to everyone at AS!.
