horst18519
Impressive, I wasn't aware of that. Will have to add this before release. Keflavik might not be released before christmas as I also have Larnaca FS9 to get finished. Anybody want to win a free copy of the upcoming Iceland X? Find the latest preview of this addon on the internet and provide a link.

empeck
Great video, lovely scenery. I was waiting when you'll show Eyjafjallajökull Must buy for me. I'm not a big fan of phototextures, and after FTX I'm in love in handcrafted landclass scenery. Great to see something closer to Europe.

GREAT scenery, I feel this will become a best seller not only for trans atlantic routes but also within Iceland and for bush pilots. Eventhough the last time I visited this island was on a 3 day stop over in 1972 it brought me right back. Should become a best seller! GREAT WORK! Daníel St.
Will Iceland X include the new 5° slope ILS approach and also some updates on NDB and LLZ approaches at Akureyri ? I'm asking because the default is very out of date, then I'm not just talking about variation changes. I have also another question, Will Iceland X include the glider airports, Sandskeid (BISS), Melgerdismelar (BIMM) and the private glider and motor airfield Geitamelur ? Below are two picture of the private airfield, Geitamelur, as you can see, very very large runways, the longest almost 3 km grass runway and it would be fun to have it included in the new scenery as it was also in FS iceland 2004 or Iceland airports for fs2004.. http://www.airliners.net/photo//1260360/&sid=ba4b9e7d98301ac8f08026c947a38e78 http://www.airliners.net/photo//1239409/&sid=dd4e9f25da04e5e2c03abcf383e00a2f The larger runways are about 40 m wide and smaller ones (taxi) 25m approx. Deputy Sheriffs Emi Posted November 16, 2010 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted November 16, 2010 The video looks really good, so what's there to be done untill release? And might we see a few images of the "Island" from an high altitude as FL370 for example? I would like to know if it looks as great from high above as from the close groundview in the video. And are there already some images of the Keflavik Airport if the project has already been started?
horst18519
As requested a few more screenshots, some taken at high altitude. Personally I prefer to experience Iceland from altitudes below 1000f AGL but I would say it looks rather ok from FL 370. Some impressions from Akureyri (famous DC-3), Isafjordur (note the high-tech approach light system) and Reykjavik (I just love that church).

horst18519
If I'm not mistaken that is default, I normally don't use addons apart from the one I'm developing (to avoid issues).

Deputy Sheriffs Emi Posted November 18, 2010 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted November 18, 2010 Hey, how long is it untill release? At the FS-Weekend Mathijs told me that he thinks that it would take 3 more weeks since then. 2 are over, so can you tell me if you're still on shedule please? And another thing which is in my interest: Are you developing different textures for summer and winter, or can we only change the treetextures (of the few trees which are there )?
