The rest are passenger announcements. The exact conditions under which a certain announcement can be heard, will be kept secret though. Some require a little extra effort by the pilot, and I don't want to take the fun out of it 🙂

  3. CRJ Mechanic here. I've noticed the N1 acceleration is very slow to get to target. While the AMM does not state what the time spec for the N1 target it, it does specify the N2 target, which is 95% of N2 max within 10 seconds. I'll have to pay close attention to N2 on my next flight, but N1 certainly lags excessively the way it is modeled. CF34 is a pretty small engine and the N1 comes up to speed very quickly in my experience.

  5. Axis and Oh's Templates for Aerosoft CRJ 550/700 Hi! Here are a few Axis and Oh's templates for Aerosoft CRJ to use with the Honeycomb Alpha Yoke and Bravo Throttle Quadrant. The following templates are provided: ASCRJ_YOKE_HCALPHA ASCRJ_TQ_HCBRAVO ASCRJ_FCP_HCBRAVO Additional RPN scripts are also provided to customize your hardware setup. Link: Flightsim.to • Axis and Oh's Templates for Aerosoft CRJ by FltsimFlyboy Notable Features Cockpit animations and sounds associated with hardware controls Multiple interaction modals for controls - press, long press, press and hold, etc. Autopilot Flight Control Panel support Custom throttle lever bindings enabling SHUT OFF/IDLE movements Custom reverser bindings to automatically stow and disengage reversers when the handles are released (without the need to wiggle the levers) Improved Throttle Operation! You need to use the commercial 2-engine setup for the levers on the TQ, using the middle two slots. Before starting the aircraft, move the throttle levers down to the detent button position. This corresponds to the throttle SHUT OFF position. When you need to introduce fuel to the engine, simply push forward the levers out from the detent position to the axis low position. This corresponds to clicking the red guards and moving the throttle to the IDLE position to introduce fuel. You will see the red locks disengaging automatically and the throttles moving to the IDLE position. To cut fuel and turn off the engines, move the throttle levers back to the detent position. You will see the red guards lifting automatically and throttles moving to the SHUT OFF position. To engage the thrust reversers, pull the reverser handles back. This corresponds to setting the maximum reverse thrust. To disengage reverse thrust, just release the reverser handles. This will set the engines to IDLE, like in the real aircraft. Note: No axis bindings are provided as part of the template. You need to set up your axis bindings according to Aerosoft's recommendation for the CRJ in the MSFS controls settings. 6. You guys are probably aware, but in case you're not (I don't see any forum posts), after the 1.05 update there are no ATC voices anymore (in any aircraft reportedly). Another user removed the CRJ and the sounds came back.

  10. I was searching through the manuals and forums and was curious if there is a list of all the flight attendant calls. I know they happen during certain events and I want to make sure that I find them all. So far I've found: Main door closed announcement Main door opened/engines shut down announcement Passengers exit confirmation once main door is open for a few minutes Go around announcement After landing announcement Announcement after engine start Are there any more such as turning off the seat belt sign during cruise? I think the announcements are immersive

  13. I wonder if some of this is caused by the same issues with the Audio Panel changes...

  14. @Mathijs Kok Please look at this I wonder if this is also impacting those that are not able to hear ATC Voices.... If the Listen is "ON" in the CRJ it is Turning off the MSFS:COM1 VOLUME now.... And if you Turn the CRJ Listen to "OFF" it will set the volume to 250 .... This "update" that reversed the order for the buttons (as per CRJ pilots saying the position was backwards from the real world) is causing the Sim Variables to not be in sync or reversed still... If there is anything you would like from me -- ie additional information or video with more detail let me know...

  17. Hello Mathijs; Here's the overhead panel compared to the others, on MEDIUM setting: Interestingly, on "High End" the overhead looks much better: Like I said, not a major issue, just very noticeable by comparison. It turns out that I can actually run "High End" without a problem so I will just do that. Thanks!

"Added "Low cost carrier" mode for PA and FD announcements (no drinks, no coffee, no sandwiches)" But, since you have raised the question about the scripts, that makes me wonder where is my beverage or coffee? Am i being scammed?

  19. Istanbul Airport (ICAO: LTFM, IATA: IST) is the new main international airport of the city of Istanbul. It has been in operation since 2018 and ranks 1st among airports in Turkey. Istanbul Airport is located on an area of 76.5 million square meters and is intended to be a global hub between the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe. The airport is located northwest of Istanbul on the Black Sea, approx. 40 km from the city center. Stairport and SceneryTR got everything out of X-Plane for this project, so of course all airport buildings were implemented and textures with PBR were used. Animated jetways, VDGS, own animated airport vehicles and much more were installed on the airport area. Compatibility with other add-ons such as Ortho4XP was also ensured. Since the airport is not available in X-Plane by default, we have also included the appropriate AIRAC data. Features: Highly detailed virtual replica of the airport buildings and its surroundings Photorealistic textures on airport buildings and vehicles Custom high resolution ground textures, detailed markings and full PBR Custom 3D Taxiway signs Animated jetways, VDGS and marshaller (SAM Plugin required) Custom animated vehicles (SAM AirportVehicles required) HDR night lighting Custom surroundings with hand placed autogen and water Realistic static aircrafts included Custom road layout Seasonal texture adaptions (SAM Plugin required) Compatible with Ortho4XP Navdata AIRAC 2104 included Note Nav data: In order for the newer nav data to be recognized by X-Plane, the “Custom Data” folder in the “Custom Scenery / SceneryTR - LTFM Istanbul - 01 - Airport / NAVDATA_AIRAC_2104” folder must be copied into the X-Plane main directory. If newer Nav data are already installed, this step is not necessary.

  21. Here's the FIX: This is for those who may be experiencing random CTDs while in VR: pressing buttons (like AP buttons and for AS CRJ mainly the APU buttons) resulting in CTD only in VR mode nothing in the event viewer pressing buttons didn’t always end up in CTD, like playing Russian roulette Fix was to display MFS in full screen mode (alt-enter) in VR mode… For some reason in windowed mode, it would tend to CTD when buttons are pressed, drove me crazy. gfx driver: old to new, no difference hags: no difference Otherwise performance was excellent at very high settings.

  22. I understand that, but it is a matter of scale. Huge retailers have far greater buying power. One would imagine that they would swallow up all available stock before the "little guy" gets a sniff. It is not a complaint, far from it, but merely an observation. I'm now firmly committed to buying local wherever possible.

  23. It's not an RNP departure but it does have a quirk in it for sure.... The point where the Left Turn is made is not a GPS Fix... so it probably needs to be handled a little different... Cool Corner case for sure..

  25. I am sorry, but that will just not happen. Contracts simply do not allow that. We will do everything we can top make sure these issues are crushed (and believe me, we do, it is our own interest) but to move a sale from one shop to another is in many ways super complex. A shop that sells a product gets a percentage of the sale to handle the sale and providing updates (and often part of the support). Providing the thousands of Marketplace customers with 'free' updates will simply cost a lot of money and understandably Microsoft will most likely not be happy. The simple fact is that the seller is responsible for some of the work. They get money for that. It is the choice of the customer to decide where he buys. We are sure that Asobo will be able to sort out this issue. They know that Hans and everybody else at Aerosoft is standing by to assist where needed.
    1 point
  26. That sounds like a issue that should be sorted under warranty. If this is bought with us, drop us a mail at support@aerosoft.com and we'll sort it out. We are running at 89.5% satisfaction rating there at this moment and like to keep it that way.

  27. Adding here - I've tried several combinations today, I can't get the autopilot to follow a direct entry hold. The path is correct drawn, but the autopilot won't follow it. Hold is active in legs page, but it's seemingly flying a random pattern with now resemblance to the actual path drawn on the MFD. Any ideas from the Devs?

  30. PFPX is an IFR planning tool. The 'VP' waypoints are used for VFR navigation and until recently were not included in the AIRAC data set used by PFPX and indeed have crept in by the provider. VFR waypoints may not be used on IFR flight plans For reference from the FAA:

  32. Seems to be an issue with the sim ↔ crj connection, unfortunately. Can you try this and let me know if it works? In AAO, go to the scripts editor and create two new scripts: Title: ASCRJ_GEAR_UP Code: 0 (>L:ASCRJ_GEAR_GEAR_LEVER, Bool) Title: ASCRJ_GEAR_DN Code: 1 (>L:ASCRJ_GEAR_GEAR_LEVER, Bool) Remove existing gear assignments from MSFS and AAO (if any). Then, in the assigned buttons, create gear up and down button assignments and set these scripts to the key down events. Try it and let me know if the gear disagree warning is fixed, I'll add it to the template in that case.

  33. I don’t work directly for Aerosoft, but I am on the test team for the CRJ. I have never seen your problem on my own system, but I understand your frustration. There does appear to be some definite issues with the new update for customers using the Marketplace version, which may be related to the fact that the files are encrypted. Aerosoft is working directly with Asobo to try to resolve that problem. However, I know that you are running the Aerosoft version. You mentioned in your second-to-last post that FSUIPC appears to be the source of the problem. I do have FSUIPC, but rarely use it, which may be why I have not seen the problem you are experiencing. I will try enabling it later today to see if I can duplicate what you are seeing. I do know that by default, FSUIPC is configured to start automatically when MSFS itself loads. There is an option in the FSUIPC menu to turn that feature off. I am curious if you still have problems if you start MSFS without FSUIPC, load the CRJ, and then fire up FSUIPC? I will try it both ways on my own test system, and see what happens. Unfortunately, unwanted interactions between two different software packages can be difficult for the developers of either to troubleshoot - as they typically do not have access to each other’s source code. I do know the one major change in versions 1.04 and 1.05 of the CRJ is the use of simconnect for controlling the throttle, spoiler and flap axes, because this works much more reliably for these controls than the technique that was used in the original release version of the CRJ and in the first update. FSUIPC is highly “simconnect-centric” so that may be the source of the problem. I will let you know later today if I can duplicate your issue.

No, it's called the weekend and even though Aerosoft do sometimes post stuff at the weekend you can't automatically expect it, and secondly you posted 11 hours ago, Aerosoft is a German company which means in the 11 hours since your first post, it has been night time in Europe and people will have been in bed

  35. That approach is an RNP approach with some crazy Legs :)... Seems like another example where the FMS crashes on RNP approaches
    1 point
  36. If the FPS slows to a crawl while waiting for EXEC in all cases, that is definitely a bug which needs to be corrected. However in your particular example, there is a specific complication: The CRJ is fundamentally incompatible with RNP approaches. No real CRJ is certified or capable of doing RNP approaches, and these approaches simply do not exist in the nav database of the real aircraft. They do appear in the sim nav database because both the default Aerosoft and optional Navigraph databases contain every available approach for every airport. At the present time, there is no easy way to filter out RNP approaches so they do not appear in the FMS list of procedures in the sim (as is done in the real aircraft). The FMS in the sim was coded using technical reference documentation for the real Rockwell-Collins FMS4200. The real FMS is not capable of interpreting the waypoint and procedural definitions in the nav database that are unique to RNP/AR approaches, and neither is the sim version of the FMS. That is why you will often see strange waypoint identifiers, multiple disjointed legs, and unstable FMS behavior - and potentially, even a freeze up of the sim. Not only is the FMS incompatible with RNP/AR, but so is the autopilot. These procedures require an autopilot capable of using a dynamically variable bank angle while executing turns, (which neither the real nor simulated CRJ autopilot can do) and also require a fully coupled VNAV system capable of following an RNP vertical profile with high precision. Although coupled VNAV is an option in both the real and sim CRJ it does not have the capabilities required by RNP/AR. If the coding in the nav database changes so that RNP RNAV approaches can be clearly and unambiguously differentiated from ordinary RNAV approaches in every case, they will be filtered out and no longer accessible in the sim. Until such time, If you know (from the approach chart) that a particular procedure is RNP/AR and choose to load it into the FMS anyway, you do so at your own risk. It very likely will not load or display correctly. The autopilot will very likely not fly it correctly, and at worst, it could cause the sim to become unstable or even crash. I will suggest that a pinned topic be added to the FAQ section of the forum regarding RNP/AR procedures, and likewise to the aircraft documentation.

  38. I don’t understand those who take their high horses onto higher ground looking down at those who ask politely seeking answers. I’ve been into flight simulation since the mid-1980’s, and I’m definitely not not new to the role of customer, or, for that matter, to the demands of service delivery. Regarding developers; I've seen a thing or two, heard a thing or two, and experienced a thing or two. Seeking assurance and clarity is a natural phenomenon, part of human nature, and not something to be quashed or throttled. Have a good Sunday too.

  39. May I politely ask on which planet some of you live? Do you seriously expect 24/7 support with instant hotfixing for a 42 euro product (the rest is VAT)? Support plans like this usually cost thousands of euros - every month. That said, nobody said that the issue wouldn't get fixed. You got that from not reading properly and drawing your own wrong conclusions. There will just not be a hotfix today. Firstly, because I haven't found the reason for the problem and therefore don't have a fix yet, and secondly, because Aerosoft is contractually obligated to provide Microsoft with a fix "at the same time or earlier" than they release it themselves. And Microsoft does not work on Sundays. And by this, I'm locking this thread before my bullshit-o-meter explodes, and continue to work the problem.

  40. I’m not attacking, and I’ve not been impolite. I am a customer, I have concerns, and thus I am asking for clarification. MK used the words “to such a degree”, which suggests some “inter modular” functionality, plus they give a glimmer of hope. it’s good to read that AS is proud of the aforementioned WASM coding, and hopefully this ground breaking wizardry will yield results with respect to internal data exchanges. So, with respect to my question, is it anticipated that radar functionality make an appearance?

  46. Thanks for the replies guys! Those are some fair observations @RF pilot, I will be polishing up my procedures and trying again tonight. As for FSE being an issue @JRBarrett, I have also consulted with the fellas over on the FSE forums and indeed it does appear that FSE and the Aerosoft CRJ aren't the best of friends by default, but some solutions were suggested that I will attempt tonight, clearly weight and balance of passengers/cargo and fuel is the most likely culprit here, so I'll be doing some troubleshooting to see what works best. For any future CRJ + FSE enthusiasts stumbling on this thread in the future with this same issue, here's the FSE forum side of this issue, hope it helps (you'll need to be logged into FSE forums to see it). I will also try and report back any of my own findings from troubleshooting, assuming I can figure out the easiest way to get this all working. Thanks again for the replies fellas!

  47. Version 1.0.5.0 has been released. To get the fix, do the following: 1) If you bought your CRJ in the in-game (or in-sim) Marketplace, start MSFS, go to Profile -> Content Manager, click "Updates" on the left and select the CRJ from the list. Now click "Download". 2) If you bought your CRJ from an other store (including Aerosoft, Simmarket etc.), start the Aerosoft Updater from your start menu, select the CRJ from the Microsoft Flight Simulator branch and click "Update". 1.0.5.0 Update 5 - Reversed function of the volume knobs on the audio panels - Removed High Power Sched annunciator flickering - Fixed wrong turn drawing for right turn intercept legs - Fixed wrong turn drawing for certain left turn overfly legs - Fixed condition that would make the flightplan drawing use 100% CPU (CAPPS3.WAVE to KDCA/RNAV19) - Fixed support for throttle control via keyboard, mouse and Xbox controller - Fixed flight director pitch bar misalignment If you bought your CRJ at the FS marketplace: We just found out that there has been an issue with the manifest.json file and that the content manager still shows is as version 1.0.4. We checked the package and it actually is 1.0.5 (readme.txt and WASM files confirm this). This can't be fixed right away, so please just uninstall and reinstall the CRJ to make sure you got the latest version.

  49. No, you obviously do not take care when reading my post. I added the link that was made WEDNESDAY this week with all the problems, which is basically me doing a monologue over 2 pages and many, many hours trying to troubleshoot the issue, and I didn't get a single response from AS. Mathis closed my thread when I finally had it work for a single run, and then went to bed. Next day the issue had returned. So this issue has been going on for me for 4 days now.

  50. I may have a solution for this, that just might work... It seems that the loading of the plane in the community folder is different from the loading in the Stream or the OneStore folder... I did this on the FS2020 Microsoft Store edition, with the FS Marketplace CRJ.... What I did was, with the simulator closed, copy the aerosoft-crj folder from the OneStore directory (Steam Directory if you are using the Stream version), then move it to the community folder. Remove it then from the OneStore or Steam directory, and then start the simulator. This seems to be accounting for most of the issues, I have consistently had since 1.0.5.0.... Let me know if this works for any of you, besides just me... I was not experiencing the CTD, but I do wonder if this may prevent it on your machines.
