Hi Guys!
So after buying the A340-600 a few days after the release, I tried loading it into Aerosofts EDDF. After activating the A340, everything was ok for a few minutes, I started to look around the aircraft, especially the cockpit. I got relatively low FPS, sitting around 40FPS, but sitting in a detailed Aircraft at EDDF, that's normal. Or so I thought. While browsing through the EFB, the Sim started to freeze up for seconds at a time, repeatedly. I thought a reload of the sim plus the aircraft after freshly activating might help, but no success.
I didn't have much time to keep testing on that day, neither did I get around to it the following days and in the meanwhile the 1.0.1 Update released.
I installed the update and loaded back into the A346, this time into the default EDDM. FPS were a bit better, around 50FPS, but the heavy stutters/freezes began once again after a bit. In the same Sim-session, I loaded up the Fenix A321 into the same stand at EDDM and got smooth 95-100FPS and absolutely no stutters.
I checked the usage of CPU and GPU and with the A346 around 41% of the CPU and around the same amount of the 3D Engine of the CPU gets utilized. With the Fenix loaded, this numbers get considerably higher, CPU usage rises to around 80% and GPU usage to 60-70%.
Both aircraft are installed onto the same Drive.
My system consists of a Intel i7-13700K, 64GB DDR5 RAM, Nvidia RTX5090 and two M.2 NVMe Drives, one acting as System Drive, the other catering the Sim.
Any Solutions to this Problem? I really would like to enjoy flying this aircraft, but with freezes taking multiple seconds and happening every ten-or-so seconds, I can't even look around the cockpit, without overspinning the camera, flying is unthinkable at this time.
Kind Regards
Clara
