Great scenery anf I had to make a short trip over to Area 51 to do some spotting :rolleyes:

Found this strange aircraft withy no textures on. Should it be like this?

Can anyone please advise how to combine the scenery with FSDT KLAS X? Is it compatible like in Chicago city and KORD? will it be also detected automatically? Do I need to configure something somewhere in order to use them both? or maybe the supplied KLAS is as detailed as FSDT and makes it redundant?

Appreciate an answer

Hi Moshe,

in must subjects it is compatible and looks really great together. As mentioned in the Vegas manual, there are some small mesh issues, which shows a little "cliff" right to the airport. This could not be fixed by Sascha, because it is FSDT related, so maybe there will be an update in the future...

But...it really don't hurt much in my opinion... -_-

Just have a look at the manual that you can even get from the product page before downloading/buying. It has a chapter about 3rd party sceneries that also includes FSDTs KLAS. I personally prefer to use them both together considering that the impact in frames isn't as high as expected (remember it's a city in the desert without too much complex stuff around).

Hello;

I was looking at the post,where there is a drop off of the airport,to the surrounding area,are you using FS Global 2010,if so,there is a patch to fix this.

The issue is mainly an fs issue,(Acropolis effect), but my understanding is FSglobal 2010 as mentioned has a "flatten?" option for certain airports.

Also, check the original preview thread for Las Vegas, and you will find mention of a free Grand Canyon scenery (I will not mention the name as per Shaun's request).

It will probably work nicely with this scenery.

Initial impression - the 2 sceneries (US Cities and FSDT) look great together, there are definately mesh issues, most of them are solved when getting close to the area (they get flat like a texture being loaded, probably the photoreal is loading). I think it could have been nice if I did not have to get so close to the area for it to load and flatten, not sure how to set that. Still there is one corner of the airport that was not flatten though. Have to check FSG for this... also I saw the KLAS gates get loaded slowly one after the other... not sure how to fix it with my settings (if possible). I guess I need to go again over the manual.

Edit: It is explained in the manual indeed... no replacement to RTFM procedure ;)

2nd Edit: Removed the FSDT mesh bgl, things do look much better :D

After made the corrections, written in the manual, I discovered, that some AI taxied to the same parking-position, where another AI is still parking. So I assume, I should delete the file AF2_KLAS from the Aerosoft-folder.

Is it possible? We'll see if it helps, but it takes time to chase every AI from my very complex traffic.

Sorry I didn't see that an therefore didn't mention it in the manual. Deactivating AF2_KLAS from the US CitiesX-Folder will most likely solve the problem and not cause any others. This file only contains airport objects that don't need to be there when FSDTs KLAS is activated anyway.

I am hearing different stories about the availabilty of the night textures for Las Vegas. Are they available yet or do we have to wait until March 2011 to get the upgrade?

Night textures: Of course we know that night textures are important for Las Vegas. Therefore our developer has spend some time researching if we can make an exception for this single city: We can!

A free update with night textures will be published until end of March 2011 for everyone who bought this product!

Not sure if theres a "not" meant to be in there somewhere, as in " will not be published until end"

I'm sure Sascha will clear it up though.

I have only one problem. The Stratosphere mesh is show twice a bit apart from each other. It's the exact same mesh. Anything I can do about that?

besides the double strato tower problem which i also experience, i have a problem with only one building:

the black pyramid hotel on the strip is not 3D building model, it is just a flat mesh and the model does not seem to exist. any idea here -

maybe just a missing object? all the rest is there and looks gorgeous.

i am running FSX/ACC with utx europe and no other US scenery besides manhattanX. i am running flight tales missions.

The F22 aircraft that are located at Nellis seem to be out of scale, too big. Is there a way to get rid of them?

I just checked this. The scales of the aircraft are all ok except for the northwestern most fighter.

You can only deactivate those by setting your scenery complexity to "Very Dense" - they only become visible at "Extremely Dense".

I still can't get rid of the feeling that some scenery messed up Las Vegas so badly that duplicated default buildings (and now a missing one?!) are shown. Nothing of that stuff can be seen here, nor at anyone's of the betatester's systems. The first to find out the source of why some people have those buildings problems gets a LimeSim product for free!
