Hi,
I just received the new Honeycomb Foxtrot Take-Off Kit (PC) that included the previously released Foxtrot Aviation Stick and a new "small" throttle box.
There was no documentation provided with the small throttle box so I originally attached it to my PC like the Stick was but MSFS 2024 only showed the Stick. With some messing around I found that the USB C to USB C cable provided with the small throttle was meant to attach the small throttle box to the Stick using the "Hub" port on the Stick. That magically worked and now MSFS2024 shows Foxtrot Take-Off Kit in the Control Settings - hope that helps any other new users. When in Control Settings, there isn't a nice diagram of the Kit with a picture and buttons - it is just a blurred figure. So not nice like the Alpha and Bravo - not sure Honeycomb is working on that. Also there are two small metal pieces and 4 screws that came with the throttle box - those are meant to attach the small throttle to the stick - either in left or right configuration.
The Aviation Stick has a nice PDF document on their Web site that shows all of the buttons and their numbers. I asked Honeycomb for a similar diagram for the small throttle, but they don't have one and aren't planning on providing one. Guess we will just have to go into the Control Settings and write them down one by one so see what is what.
There are two XML files on the Honeycomb Web site for General and Aircraft Profiles. I could display the XML language but apparently this is just "data" and not meant to be printed or displayed in a nice format. Does anyone have any idea for these two XML files - are they meant to be input directly into MSFS 2024? If so, how? Honeycomb said there are no MSFS 2024 preset profiles for the flight stick and none are planned at the present time. Any ideas on what and how to use these two XML files? Honeycomb sent me to this forum for help.
I manually entered some button settings into MSFS 2024 to get both the flight stick and small throttle working - thanks to the SimHanger video on YouTube and got them working for a small helicopter trial run. Very pleased with the quality of the hardware, if not the documentation and support.
