Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51561 Posted November 29, 2011 Aerosoft Share Posted November 29, 2011 A beautifully executed crosswind landing is always a pleasure to see. And this Lufthansa pilot certainly knew what he was doing. Note how he corrects a gust just before he flares. And he still nails the centerline. Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4164 Posted November 29, 2011 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted November 29, 2011 Experienced a similar landing when flying this year in February from Amsterdam to Trondheim with KLM approaching RWY 09. I could see the centerline from my seat in the rear part of an Embraer 190. Most challenging approach I ever experienced and my fingers got a little bit wet. But seemed to be not so unusual as most of the passengers (Norwegians) were totally relaxed.

Guest Tuifly737-800WL
the pilot knew what he was doing, but the camerman not..
Emi 5161
If the camera man could keep his camera half as stable as the pilot has flying skills than this would have been perfect

Goof 490
Yeah those realworld pilots know how to do it I had the pleasure to join the flightdeck at a flight to Frankfurt back in 2006 and it was really great to see them working really professional. Awesome video

d-aish 82
What would a Lufthansa Pilot be if he would not do such nice landings. Yes LH1711, you're exactly correct. No one ells is aware of such nice landing-skills. Lufthansa!!!
Emi 5161
We have to take it as it as... Lufthansa is just the best airline out there

Piper Pilot 90
Nice. However you cannot connect this with an airline . There are good colleagues out there not on a specific airline. And the best are not flying airliners, but great smaller airplanes.
Christopher Barbas 7
Come on people Thousands of pilots are doing crosswind landings day by day all over the world. The landing was absolutely good but he is not the only one who can do that. CU
