  1. Then you can just keep coming up and do a whole Alaska scenery (hehe!) C'mon, I live in AK...someone needs to make a good scenery for FSX!
  2. *edited - found info in another post. Looks sweet, I can't wait to dl it and Lukla...
  3. I haven't noticed any problems with the visual model w/ SP2.
  4. I'd buy an X version too. I loooove the Beaver. It was my first aircraft add-on that I bought and still my favorite. Nothing beats it for flying around Alaska (except for maybe that SuperCub!) RealAir's Scout does a decent job in the meantime.
  5. Negative...I went one further and tried to figure it out myself, but now I have no gauges at all! I was thinking of buying FS Panel Studio and trying that, but I don't have the $ at the moment.
  6. With Lake Hood (the busiest seaplane airport) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Hood_Seaplane_Base and Elmendorf AFB along with numerous small strips around town and in the surrounding areas there is tons of scenery to build.
  7. I installed AS_PIPER_120.zip from Aerosoft's site. I got the following error: "The Flightsimulator can not be loacted on your system. Please check the correct path to Flightsimulator." I clicked Browse and went to following dir: C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator X. It installs the aircraft in a folder named "Aircraft" and I copied those to the SimObjectsAirplanes folder. I copied the files from AS_CUB_UPD_121.zip to the corresponding folders. Then I end up with the situation david_wi posted above. I'm still waiting to hear back.
  8. Just be glad it wasn't a picture of Mathjis on top of the sheep...
  9. Tune into this thread... http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=9215 I'm awaiting some clarification from david_wi concerning this matter.
  10. Is it possible to get the manual before ordering? I'd like to see how hard it is to use. Thanks.
  11. I ordered the yoke and rudder pedals from Dell. They were 15% off with free shipping to continental US. I live in Alaska, so I had to pay $27 for shipping. I got the pedals in about a day (they upgraded my shipping and sent them 1 day DHL Air!!) but the yoke is backordered and I won't get it until the end of next month. Just having the rudders have made a huge difference for me!
  12. Thanks! Your help is much appreciated! Dave
  13. Resurrecting an old thread... Where do I place the panel.cfg and AS_NST files? Also, how do I make the thumbails for each Super Cub (what do I name them and where do I place them?) Thanks a lot.
  14. I've had one about a year. No regrets...this thing is great!
  15. Nope, I only have 1 account and it's admin...I'll keep looking. It's just weird because when I had it installed before I had no problems.
