  2. You can buy wherever you want. No difference in the software or regarding updates. Of course if you buy it at the marketplace, the installation is done from there and if a problem occurs during the installation, you have to ask Microsoft. If you buy it from Aerosoft and you have a problem with the installation, you can get support through the forum or from Aerosoft directly. So it is your choice.

  3. We have to start a preview post about our Airbus Microsoft Flight Simulator projects at some time, so why not now? As most people will know we have three aircraft projects for MFS in development at this moment. All of them are complete new builds using as much of the fantastic features of the new simulator as possible. In order of scheduled release these are the CRJ 500/700 (followed up by the CRJ 900/1000), the Twin Otter and finally the Airbusses. We have at this moment 3 people working on the 'systems'. Over the next few months that will grow to 6 people. Feel free to comment, ask or rant, we will reply when we can, but as this is a project in pretty early stages of development, please accept that we are not ready to share a lot. To avoid a negative flow on this topic, let's agree that we'll reply when we can and want, and will not reply when we do not want, okay? Seeing a dozen "we are nor ready to discuss that yet" comments every day just looks nasty. But is you have any wishes, feel we should absolutely do this or that and we should never do that or this, please let us know. I assure you we read every comment. This project will be in the same 'idea' as we have done before, we focus on the job of the captain, rather than on the system. That means we rather include a fully working cockpit door system that is used every 30 minutes then a dual generator failure that has happened twice in all the hours (20 million plus) that these aircraft have flown. Pilots deal with sick passengers, drunk passengers, blocked toilets, missing catering, crashed multimedia systems etc etc on a daily base. A broken engine is something they might see once or twice in their career. Ohhh, of course you want a picture... Here you go. That how it looks at this moment. And that is because we have not yet started on the model/texturing. That will start soon and then things will start to look nice. At this moment it is really the core systems that are worked on. Again, we'll reply when we got something to say. Do not be upset if we do not comment on your question, that only means we are not able or willing to reply. We do love your input though!

  4. Ah, but a HUGE difference in ease of use. Market place items are, to the best of my knowledge, encrypted on your hard drive. It makes it hard to use things like addons linker to manager your installations. For example, addons link allows you to install to a separate area of your hard drive or a separate hard drive entirely and then link those installs to your community folder. So when a sim update hits, you can, as recommended, empty your community folder with one click of a button. Then you can add things back one at a time or one type at a time to make sure everything is working fine. I no longer buy anything from the marketplace that I can buy direct from the developer or a publisher like AS. I know that the great folks from AS can't say these things, so I will. Yes, for example the CRJ is the same product and it will work the same way, but can you install the Marketplace CRJ in D:/My MSFS Stuff/Airplanes/Aerosoft/CRJ? Can you install an airport into D:/My MSFS Stuff/Airports/Italy/Rome? What if you are going to go on a flight to Iceland and want to know if you have BIKF installed or need to look for a freeware or payware upgrade? Do you want to spend time going over hundreds of community folder entries or official folder entries? Or do you want to just go to your Airports/Iceland folder and look to see what you got? I have 50 airports just for Italy. Imagine the headache of trying to find one within the 3242 linked folders I have in my community folder. It makes trouble shooting real easy also. If I am having a problem with the CRJ I can remove EVERYTHING else in a mouse click and see what happens. The drag and drop installations that started with XPlane and continue with MSFS are great, but that means that organization is up to us. It is hard to organize that which is hidden and encrypted on your hard drive.

  5. Should not be to hard i suppose… v1 is calculated and set by the EFB already … and passing that speed can be used to just trigger a sound file for example. flight attendant sounds are not “ part of the aircraft systems “ either right ?

  6. Do note there is also no difference in when an update will be available. It will be at the same time.

  7. 42 is the answer…if you know „The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy“ The development will take some time. It was already in this topic.

  8. Hi, more or less what should be the release times for the A330?

  9. Lösch It is worth trying to clear the rolling cache and rebuild it. I often fly to LEIB and take off from there from time to time, but I have never had CTDs with the CRJ, Longitude or CJ4 Cessna.

  10. Modeling mostly. The larger CRJ are not just longer, also different wings, different wing/fuselage sections etc. All going rather well, but it simply takes time.

  12. Hi, you'll be able to see the interior for both the terminals and they'll have ambient passenger movements inside of them. The interior for Terminal 2 is still very much work in progress though..

  13. The default aircraft use a different programming language than the CRJ, which is coded in WASM. Making three-way switches work with up/down arrow prompts is not easily done at this time in a WASM project. Speaking strictly for myself, I much prefer using the mouse wheel for moving switches even in aircraft that support other ways of doing it. It is my preferred method even in P3D and X-Plane, and has been for years. I find it much faster and more intuitive. Having to hover near a switch with the mouse pointer and wait for a directional arrow to appear seems awkward, and can be difficult in turbulence.

  18. There's zero point in preordering a digital download. It's available to everyone at the moment of release and there's no limited supply. For boxed products, it makes limited sense. The days of a nice printed manual are long gone, so all you get is a CD/DVD, the same as a download, although boxes do still sell well in a few markets. You might get it a day or two earlier than someone who orders on release, but then, Aerosoft typically delays that product until after the inevitable first couple of updates/patches or so.

  19. A strange statement as currently the A320NX handles navigation better than the CRJ at the moment. No zig zag following the route, ILS hit everytime now, and even auto land. Please don't take this the wrong way, but is the current state at present.

  24. The release of the update is planned at the same time as SU4. I am very sorry you are unhappy how it is handled. It will not change our plans however. We have excellent reasons for that, I am just not able to share all of those with you. But the simple fact it is that we have to coordinate with Microsoft on the release. As this topic is rapidly sliding out of control I am closing it.

  27. Yep. Knowing that they are working on the next versions of the CRJ, -900. Would it be flyable or will they let us buy the product unfinished like the 550/700 ? I was fully hopeful in aerosoft work, but my trust is starting to go away.

  28. I've never seen a wrong turn onto ILS. Just flew the above approach above with zero issues.

  29. K ... so if i am interpreting correctly ... Sim update 4 is released the 25th ... then you need to test it in SU4 .... then you have to wait for Microsoft to upload. So we are talking about another 3 to 4 weeks on a patch .. despite you already "have a solid patch" ? So I paid for a working product in March .. already have to wait for a "wobble patch" for weeks .. and now even weeks longer because for Aerosoft it is a "big drain on resources" to release it 2 weeks before SU4 ??? Is this real ? If released today i can at least enjoy a working product for 14 days !! (can't though ... even if bought directly from AS )? Perhaps move recourses from other products to CRJ or something ? Believe me the next WU will brake other things in the CRJ probably. We have seen this routine since day one. But in 3 to 4 weeks .... are you then scared to release a patch and are you then going to wait for the next WU update ( just 2 or 3 weeks later ) ... come one . One thing for sure .... i will not be buying the 900/1000 anymore. I like the CRJ as a product ... but how this is handled .. is not very good

  30. Dear all I'm sure it has been asked for 1000s times before but I have a question: Do I buy CRJ from Aerosoft store as always? Or MS Market place (with the credit system that I'm clueless about)? And if this decision will impact the future updates? Or any other installation issues? or authentication? Best regards Alaa
