It takes too long to load Whiskey airways

Everytime I enter a whiskey airway like W1, W2, W3, etc... it takes like 30 seconds for the MCDU to read it. See screencast attached. I have no problem with other airways.

The real MCDU can sometimes be very slow, but 30 seconds indeed sounds quite much. I'll forward this to the developer and to our real world advisors and we'll see what can be done about this.

By the way, why don't you simply load your route as company route? That makes entering a route so much easier...

Thanks for your quick response, Emi. I know how to use co-route feature but I prefer inputing flight plan into the MCDU for each flight, it somehow helps me remember a lot of my favorite routes :)

Hope the devs will find a way to fix it soon!

I just checked the route and the reason could be that there are wpts with the same name. When entering the route in to FSC I get a route of 4700nm which doesn't make sense, so I would say that the MCDU checks which one makes sense and that might take a while.

e.g. there is a wpt also named W1

I just checked this with Frank and 30 seconds are definatly to much. I've put this on our list, however I can not promised it will already be in the next update. Indeed it's rather unlikely it'll be in the next one.

Ahhh then you do not know Airbus Industries, lol.

So you're saying that for the sake of realism, every time Airbus screws something up, your development team endeavors to screw up in exactly the same way?
