Virtual cockpit window view with jetway

Recommended Posts

Afternoon

Great simulation very pleased. Being a bit picky but VC view with close objects eg jetway image is not right.

Did the vc fix some time ago by adding Clipmode = minimum  in the cameradefinition, which works  fine for other aircraft..

What do you reckon?

Fair enough, obviously not considered worthy of a comment.   Might as well call it closed, if it was ever open.:D.

Of course we look into this!

You loaded the aircraft at a gate position, right? If that is the case, you need to slew it backwards/forwards into the right position. Otherwise you get problems with the docking mechanism. I got similar reports for the CRJ and tried with that and a bunch of other add-on aircraft. Almost none sits at the right position, if you select "GATE A1" from the "Go to Airport" menu.

Well in the video's you posted the aircraft were not positioned the same way (heading) and the 737 also shows the gate intersecting with the VC.

Can you show the same with a second window open showing a top down view? Only that way can we see where the aircraft is positioned.

And yes at this moment it seems you are the only one.

None GXS just ctrl j, Thanks for all your comments.

All these videos are from load-up, with no moving around. The problem is unique to your product, and with respect I think you are struggling for an answer.

No matter it not important, I will go away.

Marshall01!

I checked your video and Hans is fully right. The airbus cockpit stands several feet more forward than the 737 one! Of course we can proof our claim. As we got all educated in geometry, we know, that when we are at the same position the escape line of lines must be identical.

Lets check the input images and one comparision. How we can see, the angle of the lines is very different, and becomes more rotated clockwise, the more forward we stand.

You can also see on the comparision image, how different the perspective lines are running on the airport building. Same position would mean, the building sits perfectly ontop each other. This is not the case.

So the jetway here really rams into the plane fuselage, and therefore the clipping isn´t to avoid by ANY aircraft in such a case.

Also in this video, you miss to align the gate rubberskirt correctly. You are at least 1-1.5 meter too far forward and would hit the window there.
