  1. Please read Mathijs' statement more carefully: He didn't said that P3Dv5 support is canceled completely. He just said, while LM is changing one part of the simulator with every update it doesn't makes any sense to update all add-ons for each and every version. Once you have done so, LM releases the next change which invalidates all update you have done before... That's what Mathijs said. Nothing more and nothing less. Most importantly he didn't say not to support P3Dv5 at all anymore. So please do not read something into a post which is simply not there.

  2. It’s a difference if you have new settings with every update or if you work close with the simdev and have some influence to define a standard.

  3. Sorry, we are not going into this discussion again. As I said when we do wing flex realistically (and not like some other companies do it) it would be a few pixels up and down. We feel that is not worth it.

  4. This statement is very confusing because you are willing to spend money on a much more moving target with an incomplete SDK at MSFS? But a much more complete SDK with LM is a no-go? Very odd. It might have just been easier for you to just come out and say Aerosoft is done with P3D and no further support will be provided. What you wrote is just dancing around that anyways.

  6. Today did a shirt flight from Alesund to Trondheim to see the new update. After landing ATC instructed me to gate 37, but the label on the jetway says '36'. I guess it is a typo, since the adjacent gate also is labeled as gate 36. By the way, the docking system works great

  8. I like MSFS, it's a good game and fun and I'm working on supporting it with freeware. However, for a more complete simulator experience I'm still very much using P3D V5.x (and XP) and will continue to do so but unlikely to purchase ANY Aerosoft products based on some of the comments I've read on the Aerosoft management side. MSFS is a moving target. P3D is a moving target. XP is a moving target ... that's how we get better products, they evolve and grow this is a "normal" development cycle. I understand that Aerosoft are concerned about "moving targets" but you've already collected my money and you know the targets were moving. I (and others) have been more than willing to pay for upgrades (or higher initial prices) to support ANY new platform features and updates from 15 year old legacy FSX. But when Aerosoft doesn't deliver those new features consistently and keep them updated, then the sales (or lack of) is a result of Aerosoft's decision to NOT support these features. Blaming LM doesn't work, never has, look into the mirror. I don't see Aerosoft blaming MS/Asobo for the many failures in their release from installers that don't work to floating lights at airports, to an SDK that's not even at version 1.0 yet, to missing depth in commerical aircraft simulations, to many other bugs that have come with MSFS. As for P3D features Aerosoft has not used to any level on consistency, I'll be specific: PBR Sloped runways Dynamic Lights Dynamic Reflections Material Scripting SpeedTrees All things that enhance the visual experience to make it look better that aren't supported by FSX, yet you bind your customers to FSX as the lowest common denominator and have done so for years and have shown a huge reluctance to implement ALL these new features years later. I get it, it cost money to implement new features ... this is a surprise, it shouldn't be? I get it, Aerosoft were in very early with MS/Asobo before anyone else, hence the platform bias and lack of feature implementation. Do you think MSFS will NOT implement new features in the coming years or make adjustments? PBR, Dynamic Lights, Dynamic Reflections, SpeedTrees, Material Scripting was introduced in P3D V4.x and even P3D V3.x. I find Aerosoft's continued reluctance to add feature support disappointing, bias, and frankly not accurate. You know your sales numbers, you know your profits, you leveraged P3D for years selling older legacy FSX products for as "compatible", I bought them, I supported Aerosoft. Support is a two way street and is NOT platform specific. The continued P3D sales are zero rhetoric isn't making me want to buy MSFS products from Aerosoft, it's only establishing a company I no longer want to do business with because of how platform support is managed. I realize this message will get deleted for what will be a short life ... maybe someone will get a glimpse of it before it's gone. I'm usually very respectful of Aerosoft, but when I see that respect being abused it's time to speak up. Cheers, Rob.

  9. That problem was related to using an add-on manager having disabled EDDK (i.e. having it not in the Community folder) and then having started the update. The update then was created into a none existing EDDK folder, so just the update files were found afterwards in the EDDK community folder. When using add-on managers it is mandatory to enable an add-on before installing any updates.

  10. The new update is out already. If you bought it from Aerosoft you can access the update in the shop. Other shop will surely have the new installer during this week. Happy landings.

  11. I'm unable to recreate the issue with the localizer being offset, do you use any 3rd party navdata? If so I would do a test with it disabled. Regarding the 141 MB size, that's the size of the last update (1.03) so for some reason the original install of the scenery went missing We did see a similar problem when someone used a add-on manager and moved the scenery to a different location, not sure if this is what happened here though.

  12. Hi, thanks! This will be corrected in the next version.

  13. So you are in other words stating that you will cancel Prepar3D support, even when there is no aircraft with acceptable system depth in sight within at least the next year for your prefered simulation game? (Which is also constantly changing due to an ongoing development process and focus on "easy usablitliy" instead of deep system simulation)... I'm sure all your customers who stayed loyal to this and other projects even with the major development delays and long update intervals would appreciate some compatibility updates and even pay a small amount for it. With the steps P3D development makes currently that platform is far from dead for complex aircraft simulation. You don't have to answer but just think about how long it will take until your airbusses work in the new simulator, and they don't even have a real deep system simulation. I don't expect any advanced aircraft addon for that platform until at least 2022. Until then, P3D should be supported. I'm sure people won't complain when you cut P3D support the day usable aircraft addons are available for the supposedly better platform.

  17. When Lockheed settles on a settings that is documented in the SDK we'll check what we can change. For now we are not willing to spend money on a moving target. Not with sales for that platform being next to zero.

  18. Okay. It is clear we differ in opinion. You feel when a airport scenery is released the developer and publisher somehow have the task to keep it up to date. We do not agree. We never promised that. No developer EVER promised that. Now we could go on and on about this , but fact is that we sold the product without the promise to keep it updated eternally. As you are at this moment the only customer with this complaint I dare say it is not a massive issue and I take the liberty of closing this topic. If you feel you are 'pulled over a barrel' and do not agree to my explanation, I am sorry. But things are not going to change.

  19. In a CRJ? An aircraft well known for having very stiff wings? We do have the accurate data and know in detail how much the wings flex. But in moderate conditions, on a 1080 screen, looking from the cockpit to the wingtip you, the deflection would be around 4 pixels max (oh and do not send us a zillion yt vids where the camera viewpoint moves down as the wing tip moves up). How much fps are you willing to lose to that animation? It could be up to 10%. For an effect that is simply not visible in the real aircraft?

  21. Gents, we released a new version before the weekend. Aerosoft customers have the installer directly in the store or in the support database. Other stores are also very fast and will surely provide the new installer quickly (usually they don't work here on weekends). I am sorry for the inconvenience this causes. The update process is described in the manual chapter 1.7. I hope this helps.

  22. Believe me or not but yes I considered that. But even if I don't know when this missing exit was under construction I think 29Palms had probably many years to adjust their EDDB scenery. And your argument is not stringent at all because Aerosoft/19Palms has been able to release two updates for p3d4 in the last few days/weeks! So bloody complicated? So expensive for devs? Sorry, but if you didn't want to cheat EDDB FSX customers you should have clearly announced that this scenery doesn't fully simulate the new EDDB! But I think, that your main interest had been to empty your FSX addon stock (for boxed version). That's quite normal because FSX is a dinosaur. But without remark that customer won't buy the new, just opened airport but an older version (with missing taxiways and so on and without any chance to have an update!) we must feel pulled over the barrel! Sorry to say that.

  23. Still haven't answered as to why the app says to go to the Support area. And when I get there, I can't get in because I haven't replied to some email I never got. Also, my first question about reinstalling could have been answer by a simple "yes," rather than the holier-than -thou responses about the manual.
