Initial Push Back Distance

Is there a way to configure the push back distance to be displayed with an initial value like 10m for example?

The present setup presents a large distance and most of the time much less is used so spinning the wheel is getting so much to be a little bit of an annoyance.

Thanks for your time.

Please have a look into the Vol6 StepbyStep Guide in #89 where it states:

The feature uses the FSX basic pushback function and is it a little bit "enhanced". The FSX function consists of a time part "straight" and the turn part. The minimum time FSX uses / needs for “straight” is app. 7-9m (based on aircraft model used) e. g. time is converted into distance. Additionally to that the distance for the turn itself comes on top - a medium value for a 90° turn is app. 50m. But this distance varies based on angle used and size of the plane e. g. for the A318 it is much smaller than for the A321. But if needed you can always stop the pushback by using SHIFT+P.

Rolf

Thanks,

I believe then that the answer to my question then is no, there is no way to configure the initial value displayed in the right MCDU.

Just choose and angle and press Shift+P when the aircraft is far enough back.

Hi,

do you mean that you are not able to change the taxiway distance value pushing LSK5L? Question: Did you also try to change the value by putting your mouse arrow on the fields with the arrow showing up or down and then using the mouse whell? Please end us a screenshot of the PUSHBACK SETUP

Regards,

Rolf

I think what canuck21a means is that the default value for the pushback distance is too high for most aprons. That is, we always have to scroll to a much shorter distance.

Bruno.

How about starting at the minimum instead of the maximum?

If this were a value in an xml file perhaps it could eventually be a variable in the aircraft configuration setup so that a user could choose their preferred starting value.

Anyway,

Thanks for your consideration.
