ddeuce 14
Thank you all for your compliments on The B Birds, but alas, I cannot afford a new paint program, my program does not handle these PSD files. I Sit here listening to Ray Lamontagne's "Empty", and this is how I feel........ Johnny
Matt_Smith 1116
Have you considered trying gimp http://www.gimp.org/ It apparently opens layered PSD files and best of all its free to use. Granted it might take a bit of time getting used to it.
Stefan Hoffmann 4160
Hi DDeuce! First of all the readers need to know what paint program you use now in first place to help. Adobe Photoshop is THAT tool amongst artists and repainters, only a small fraction i know of, that are using different formats. But very often the are plugins and converters from PSD to other software formats. Would i myself have that problem then i would google from "PSD conversion paintshop" for example, if you got the last one in usage currently. Tristan 2
ddeuce, after you got Photoshop, dowload of Nvidia the DDS-Plugin. DDS is made by Nvidia and they ofer for free a plugin to open and save dds files in Photoshop. http://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop Tristan
Jaap K. 43
I tried the Gimp a while ago. I remeber having to download a plugin for it to be able to open DDS files. But you probably know that already.

roger-wilco-66 2
John, in case you still feel like working on repaints, there is an alternative skin package that gives Gimp the look and feel of Photoshop: http://gimpshop.com/ All the best, Mark
