ScottM 21
Ok this is a weird one, Tahiti X. Fly Athens. My two payware sceneries. I can land there fine, but trying to start a flight from there, nuh-uh. Will just crash randomly when I am getting the flight ready. Tried un-installing Tahiti when I was having issues with that, not working. Tried de-activating AES with Tahiti, no joy. I am seeing the same things now in Athens. Here are the three crash logs from tonight at Athens, any help would be appreciated... This has only started since I did the re-install of FSX Windows Vista, 32 Bit. 2.00Ghz, 3GB RAM, intel pentium processor T4200, intel GMA 4500M up to 1244MB. 26/10/2011, time 20:00 Description A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. El Jamié 1
This problem may be caused by not un-installing the scenery before installing Flight Simulator X again. If you have the time, un-install the scenery again and un-install and re-install FSX. After that, re-install the scenery and it might work. I've never had this with one of my products, so I don't have much experience in sorting these types of problems out, with aircraft it is a different story but with Scenery I'm no expert. If you do have time, I'd advise trying the method I put above and report back in this thread what has happened, if the error is different or even better, if it finally works for you. Best of luck. Thanks, Jamie
ScottM 21
Wow Jamie, Thank you very, very much for your quick reply, I will give it a try, I am really surprised that things like not uninstalling it could cause the error but I see where you are coming from. As I said I will give it a try anyway, probally not untill sunday though as I am wanting to fly in cross the pond this weekend and I don't want to be in a non-operational state with FSX. Thank you very much for the swift reply :)
El Jamié 1
It's not a problem, I'll help anyone as long as they're an Aerosoft customer or an Aerosoft potential customer. I understand what your saying, I wish you the best of luck in sorting the problem and good luck in your adventure, captain! Regards, Jamie
Snave 466
Contrary to what our newly-arrived expert is suggesting, I don't think this is anything to do with addon scenery. First indicators are that it is a graphics issue - the fault module igdumd32.dll is nothing to do with FSX or Aerosoft scenery at all, its related to the Intel graphic card driver, IIRC When you reinstalled FSX did you actually delete FSX .cfg and allow the sim to create a new one? Your version information relating to FSX indicates yo have FSX SP2 installed. How did you reinstall FSX? Please list the steps.
ScottM 21
Your version information relating to FSX indicates yo have FSX SP2 installed. How did you reinstall FSX? Please list the steps. I removed my Qualitywings 757 and the Airbus X from the simobjects file to avoid having to re-download all the liveries. I went ahead and ran the uninstall that can be found in the control panel. I then installed FSX via the disks. I installed SP1 & 2. Then had to re-install QW757 and Airbus X anyway after soemthing didnt work. Installed PMDG JS41 Installed FSinn around 7 times before it worked
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted October 27, 2011 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted October 27, 2011 Then had to re-install QW757 and Airbus X anyway after soemthing didnt work. Installed FSinn around 7 times before it worked Reading this, I think there are some more (basic) problems then your "payware scenery issue". Where did you install FSX and its addons? Did you install everything as Administrator? BTW: reading your system spec, you're at the very low end.
ScottM 21
Installed directly to the c:/FSX As far as I'm aware everything went on as administrator. RE:BTW: I know it isn't your top-of-the-range system but it runs FSX to a level I am happy with, considering my last system couldent even run it whilst parked at the gaate this is one hell of a better system Unfortunately sim1.dll went berserk resulting in me ruining everything else because that was a necessary re-installl
