Nice shots Ian. Good luck for the 2nd leg. For me it took some getting used to - don't fly the DC-3 so often.

OK, leg 2 done now. Again, the weather gods were smiling onme, apart from a brief bit of turbulence about 50 miles out from Venice. Took me a while to get the heading hold and pitch hold set up properly, but fine from then on. The sounds on the default DC3 are not good at all - hope the JF one is better! Screenies below:

I find it alot easyier to navigate in the defualt as the NDB needle is in view and piont to where you need to go..on JF's, thats not the case, unoyyingly.

And yes the JF's sound are nice,nice pics too btw

Very nice shots Ian, looks like you got to grips with the DC3 pretty easily. Ive found the easiest way to navigate with the DC3 is dead reconing. Mind you for that you really need a chart. I just print out a copy of the map from Plang and navigate in exactly the same way you would when flying on the PPL course.

The JF DC3 sounds even better with the Sonic Solutions DC3 sound pack

OK, leg three now done. That approach down the valley into Sion is awesome! Superb scenery. My trusty Seneca did a good job, and now I'm off to find a good Gasthaus for the night.

OK, leg 4 done now - great fun valley flying the Lear Jet into Innsbruck... a bit scary when a few puffs of cloud came by! Pics below:

And finally... leg 5. Fun flying the Spit, with a victory roll over the field before landing! What a hooligan!

Glad to leave Innsbruck and the rain. The poor guy who flew the Spit out from Andras for me had to go back by bus and train - I promised him a beer or three in return!
