Paul K 93
I'm thinking about getting a flight planning add-on and wondered if anyone here had any recommendations or comments. I had Abacus 'Co Pilot' for FS98, which I found to be excellent, and I've used Alessandro Antonini's freeware Super Flight Planner for FS9, but now I am after the best flight planner for FSX. Payware or freeware, it doesn't matter. I only use radio nav-aids such as VOR and NDB so it doesn't have to have a GPS included. Any help or advice gratefully received. I personally use FOC http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=10450&s_design=DEFAULT&shopfilter_category=Flight%20Simulation Another commonly used planner is FS Build, but I have no experience with it, so I don't know how good it is. Paul K 93
Thanks for the response, Isaiah. From the screenshots it looks a little too complex for my abilities, but interesting nevertheless.

Maybe FSbuild is more suitable for you http://www.fsbuild.com/
Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted June 22, 2010 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted June 22, 2010 There are some other tools: Payware like FS Commander here at aerosoft, new version expected for fall 2010, trialware available (at on their website), actual navdata provided by Navigraph freeware like Plan-G For myself I use FSCommander, but would be interested in FOC, because it allows more complex flightplanning. But for both products FOC and FSBuild there are IMHO 2 major problems: no actual navdata available (FOC) and no further develoment (FSBuild). Paul K 93
Thanks again Isaiah, and Mopperie too. Plan G has been mentioned a number of times in response to a similar query I made at Sim Outhouse, so I'd better investigate. Thanks guys ! A bit full featured for what you need (but that's never a bad thing) but check out FSFK here. Has a free demo. http://www.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=10802&s_design=DEFAULT&shopfilter_category=Flight%20Simulation
Paul K 93
I was kind of aware of FS Flight Keeper, but didn't know it had so much in it. Thanks Mathijs, I'll try the demo at least. Looks very interesting.
