Mathijs, I can only talk based on my own experiance. To be a flight simmer you got to be an airplane lover first and from that moment on you acquired the bug. For me it was when I was 9 years old and she was a the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, A Pan Am B707. I got onboard that day and flew to MPTO. I was dazzled for life. With Flight we all had a very long time to prepare for what was coming out the pipeline. True flight simers didn't like it. Me included. When it came out, I did gave it a good shot??? Yes, I did. But to no avail. It was the bigging of 25 years ago with better graphics. Not good enough at all. I have downloaed the Demo of X-plane 10 and I got the same experiance I got in verision 7 and 8. Something is missing and to me it is the lack of the ultimate objective of a Fight Sim. Too much work to make it just okay or better. I do not havr the time left. MS can still do in a few month they find True North again. MAB

Mathijs, Will this encourage the cause for the development of a new Aerosoft Simulator? The estate of the Flight Sim World is in shambles enough and the time might be just right. Cheers,

NO! Forget the past Mathijs. Implement your new ideas from this moment onwards. No time left to fix the past, just concentrate in improving the future of Aerosoft. Also, in another note, answering something you mentioned a few years back. I can't/won't give up FSX-ATC nor do I want to read a bunch of charts prior to a flight (so SID/START be darned) cause I don't flight VFR either because no Sim is that good yet. Nothing wrong with the ones that do mind you. To each its own. So, you were right in your guess/assumption/intuition/suspicion whatever. IMHO, There should be One package for A318 & A319, One package for A330-(200&300) and Two packages for the A340 series. If ever of course. Also, it is better to wait for MS-Flight just in case. Cheers, MAB

What would be the value for him in answering this question specially if potentially it could be used against Aerosoft later? Very few add-on's are good but the majority are not. I wouldn't mind Aerosoft to be the big supplier cause I know they would bring consistency and reliability. We wouldn't have to hear bs like: Customers nowadays demand/expect utmost perfect performance right out the box or download??? Daaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! I would love to see the Freewares buzz of FS-7&8 again cause we all want to forget the stagnation of FSX. Freeware didn't affect the good Paywares only the bad ones (a solid majority I might add) who wedged war against the former. Enough, MAB

If Aerosoft hits the mother load, all the right stuff, with the new simulator FSX will be dumped faster than a blink of an eye. Add-on's mean nothing when new and better is right in front of you. I once dumped MSFS for twelve years and guess what I can still do it again for a better one. Full ahead Aerosoft!!! Cheers, MAB

Mathijs Kok: You will put nothing on hold. That the world doesn't have enough room for 2 simulators is ludicrous. What the world doesn't have room for it is two MS Flight Simulators and one of them doesn't even have the word simulator in it anymore. It will be a serious shame to lose the big momentum that Aerosoft have already built with its new Aerosoft Flight Simulator and not finish it. Follow the original ideals of subLogic and correct "Illusions" and you can't get it wrong. But remember, you have only one chance to get it right. Piece of cake. Cheers, MAB

Mathijs: Total of one through my desktop. When I go into a working expedition I use an old laptop through the wireless. But that is it. Also, I use FS with the weather online but I avoid its own. Too dull. Aerosoft new simulator should bring its own weather online even if supplied by others and better be free too. I can hear the complains already. Free? Free. I hope this helps. Cheers, MAB

Sorry Chris: I didn't know about the AirbusX until yesterday and therefore didn't know how long ago in the project the videos were made. Apply flaps 2 wait until 155 clicks and slowly raise the nose up to 10 degrees, confirm positive lift raise the landing gear and increase the angle to 18 degrees max. Same on landings. Keep the plane horizontally no need to keep the nose pitching up until the count from 50, 40,..., Retard, Retard when you reduce throttle and gently raise the nose no more than 18 degrees again. That should do the trick. The airplane flies itself you just tell it what you want, where, when and how. Is the 1st of August still standing for the release??? Cheers, MAB

Mathijs: Stick by your guns Mathijs and the malcontent SID/STARS and 2D move one. Any chance to make another YouTube but this time with standard external views (press S again and again only). I hate the MSFS views used by them where someone glue/stick his/her right ear to the fuselage in a forward view that includes the root of the wing. Ugly. Change the test pilot too, he/she is a crummy sim-pilot. Show the nose and rear wheels at 10 knots while taxing. Get a better PC with Windows 7 x64 too. Include better takeoff and landing correctly. Looks good and very appealing but I just want to make sure. Go after the A318 and A319 before making more complicated nav improvements. It is a waste of time trying to make the FMC or FMS like the real thing in MSFS. We want to flight so make sure the VC Panel is friendly to users against the MSFS-BS that kept all versions of MSFS as arcade toy games. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SIMULATOR!!! Sorry Mathijs. Mathijs: Supply through ASFlightSim with both distinct FMS or FMC, the one from Airbus and the one from Boeing and maybe another one in between. Have the capability to be able to fly with VOR, NDB, ILS. Make Autopilot real please. Full Controls, full landings, flares and full takeoffs. The whole NAV data can be one year old and still good to fly for us in the new ASFS. Make it easy to make corrections by customer and third parties. Same with SID's and Star's ATC, good and smart.
