  1. Well, I did go over to the Flightbeam forum and discovered that if you have no buildings showing, you need to activate the scenery in Addon Manager, an FSDT product. So, I guessing the Aerosoft version has been re-tweaked to run without Addon Manager. I did check out my Addon Manager, found Flightbeam's San Francisco, and learned that it considered the scenery not installed. Just for the heck of it I tried to register the scenery with Aerosoft's product key, but of course it didn't work. I guess I'll have to depend on Aerosoft's support on this one.
  2. Thank you, Herman. I'll have a look at Flightbeam's forum.
  3. I just wanted to add a few other comments. When I discovered that the scenery was no longer showing up, I went into the scenery library and deleted San Franscisco. Then I selected "add scenery," went to the Aerosoft folder in the main FSX folder, found San Francisco and added it back to the scenery library. It shows up as having been installed, but the airport scenery does show up when I actually start a flight there. The serial number that came with the disk was accepted by the install program and Aerosoft Launcher during the registration process. Thanks Tom
  4. Hi, I have purchased many airports sceneries from you, and this is the first one I have had problems with. 1) The first thing I noticed was that there were no airliners at the gates; I am using My Traffic X. Other than a few static aircraft and grouind service vehicles the airport is dead. 2) I also get the message that the trial period has started, then, after a few minutes I am informed that the trial period has ended. I saw where someone else had this problem, and you suggested that he needed to have administrative priviledges. Well, I do have those, but nevertheless I uninstalled the airport and tried reinstalling several times. On one of those times I went directly into the FSX folder on the install disk and right clicked on the setup.exe file and selected "open as administrator." 3) Now the airport doesn't install at all; I just see default scenery. I assume I must have exceeded a maximum number of installations or something. Any idea what's happening? Thanks in advance, Tom Murphy
  5. Those of you who purchased Lugano and Zurich for X-Plane may be interested in this thread which appeared on the AVSIM forum. http://forum.avsim.n...he-hang-of-wed/
  6. Mathijs, I don't yet see a place in your online shop that shows the special US Community edition. Will that be forthcoming soon? Thanks, Tom
  7. Hi, Shaun, Sorry it took so long to reply back. We've been on vacation, and this is my first chance to get on the internet. I just wanted let you know that I followed the links you provided and that they contained the solution to my problem. Thanks to you I am now enjoying PFE again on my laptop (even while on vacation!). Thank you again, Tom Murphy
  8. Hi, I've come back to using PFE after a long absence, so I reinstalled it on my desktop and my laptop. I use FS9 on my laptop when I am travelling. I use FSX on my desktop, and the system is Windows 7. I run my laptop on Windows Vista. Here's the problem: your installer worked fine on my desktop machine, but not on my laptop. It appears to work O.K., but doesn't seem to copy any voice files into the appropriate directory. In fact I get a warning that I don;t have the voicepak installed when I start up PFE. The installer says that I have given it the right path to PFE and that it has enough information to do the installation. When I click the button to continue, a process starts, but it only lasts about a second, after which I am notified that the installation was successful. Now, I know that it takes much more time than this to transfer that many files. I tried using a registry cleaner in hopes of removing any traces of a previous installation. Also I consulted the PFE forum at OnCourse Software. It turns out that there was a similar problem of files not installing for users who were using the SimMarket version, and I tried the suggested workaround, but I got no good results. Also I tried re-downloading the installer from your site, thinking maybe the file might have become corrupted, but that didn't help either. I am stumped. Have you heard of anyone else with this problem? I am taking this problem to you and not OnCourse, because I am assuming that you wrote the installer, and this, I believe is where the problem lies, and not in the voice files themselves. Thanks in advance for any help, Sincerely, Tom Murphy
  9. Hello, Sascha, The nearest plane to those coordinates is a Grumman E-2C Hawkeye naval AWACS plane. The wings are in a folded position. Thanks again for your interest. Regards, Tom
  10. Hello, Sascha, Thanks for taking the time to investigate this problem. I was able to reproduce the crash using the default C 172. This time I was ready and had the coordinates displayed on the screen before the crash happened. As soon as the crash occured I paused the sim and wrote down the coordinates. When the crash happened I was taxiing SW(210 degress) on taxiway F, as though I were going toward the departure end of runway 3L. If I recall correctly, I was about 2/3 the length of runway 21R. In any case here are the exact coordinates: N 36 degrees 13.85 minutes, W 115 degrees 2.69 minutes. My only other thought is that I'm hitting the crash detection boxes of parked aircraft, although visually I wasn't nearly close enough to crash into another aircraft. I am using My Traffic 2010, and I'm not sure which aircraft are part of the static scenery and which are generated by MY Traffic. Hope this helps, and thanks again for checking this out. Tom Murphy
  11. Hi, I discovered an erroneous crash detection spot at Nellis AFB. Two different aircraft I was taxiing on taxiway F ran into an invisible object and crashed. Quite annoying, as on one occasion I had just completed a flight in an F-18 from Area 51. Maybe a new stealth fighter being developed at Area 51 followed me to Nellis and parked in front of me:o ) All kidding aside, the crash really did happen. The coordinates were approximately N36 13.91 W115 2.62. I would appreciate it if you would check this out. Thanks, Murfman

  13. I, too, would like to see the night textures promised on the product page. The language used clearly states that a free upgrade will be published until the end of March, but no date is given as to when it will first be available. I did check my account for this purchase and found no mention of an update. Thanks, Murfman
  14. Shaun, Thanks much for your quick reply! It appears the way is now cleared for me to purchase German Airports 1.
  15. Hi, I just purchased Approaching Innsbruck, and I love it. I am considering German Airports 1 so I will have some interesting departure points from which to fly into Innsbruck, but I notice that that package also has a version of Innsbruck included. Is it presented in such a way that I will be able to disable only Innsbruck, and if not, will putting Approaching Innsbruck at a higher level in the scenery library effectively disable the older version. Hope that was clear, and thanks in advance for your answer. Tom Murphy
