Another vintage lady at EAFS

Ahh, you gotta love those vintage birds. Full of quircks and oozing with character. Another vintage bird has arrived at EAFS, listening to the name "Skylark".

Nice to see it grace the field - what is it like to fly?

Very good actually. Those big wings give plenty of lift, so short strips are easy. I landed and took of from the glider strip without difficulties. The big flap/airbrake under the fuselage works great when landing, without changing attitude and pitch like normal flaps will do. The sounds are wonderful, very ratchetty radial engine. Only prob is the somewhat low profile of the cockpit, which gives you less of an outside view than you'd like, even more so when taxiing. But that's what you'd expect from a 1930's taildragger.
