Lateral Position Disagree on final

Recommended Posts

I always experience a very strange issue when using CFD (with different crew members). Everything works normally, Ping over Hamachi is good, however on final PNF always ends up too low on approach.

However the situation is a bit strange:

The altitude is synchronized correctly, the lateral position however is not, PNF is always a bit behind.

Example:

Approach into EDDT, FO is PF, CP is PNF.

Pictures have been taken at the exact same moment (minimum delay due to skype).

Picture 3+4: While FO reads 590RA and 1.9nm to airport, CP reads 600RA and 2.3nm.

This is also visible on 1+2 and 5+6

What's your and what's your copilots fps in that situation? If somebody gets low fps we have seen this issue happen already. Above 15 fps everything should be fine though.

I don't know but certainly above 15FPS.

It is also noteworthy that taxiing after landing is always some sort of sideways sliding for PNF with heavy delay compared to PF. However everything is fine on taxi-out and departure.

Lennart,

I'd recommend you both perform a speed test to a server near a location for one another. Pay close attention to LATENCY and let me know what your results are. Latency problems are usually caused by using a wireless network (I realize you said neither of you are using one) although some wireless networks do work. They are also caused by the Internet wiring in one's home or the Internet Service Provider.

If this turns out not to be Latency related issue, then I too would have to guess that one of you have low frame rates.

Please provide the following:

1. The locations (Cities) you are both in.

2. Type of Internet Service.

3. The Internet Speed Test you used (both should use the same one).

4. The Server locations you each used for the Speed Test.

5. Speed Test Results (Upload and Download Speeds and Latency).

6. Type of Processor and Speed it's running at.

7. Graphics Card you each using.
