I know in the past there have been fmgs.dll issues.. Is there a fix for the newest 318/319 release?

  • Aerosoft

Other than the standard hotfix (1.12) there are no updates.

Try activating the P3D error logging, perhaps that should give us some more information. I do suspect the cause is with the runtimes, so try this for sure: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/86687-got-problems-try-fixing-your-net-runtimes/

Is the hot fix included in the new product download?

Thank you.. having more troubles. I came home last night after reading the FPS fix topic and applied the new dll files with substantial success.. Easily a +5fps increase at Addon airports and 7-9 at defaults in all views.. Im still getting that fmgs error and now have an FBW.dll error..logs for both are attached. These errors are preventing P3d from shutting down correctly.

I totally understand... you guys can only do so much and if you cant replicate the issue, then we are forced to find a way and pass it on..
On that note, I was doing some fiddling around and may have a fix you can pass on..

I was getting so frustrated with this app hang at shut down I did some experimenting.

Ive only ran the sim up twice but am no longer getting crashes on exit from within the bus

Uninstalled everything having to do with the new baby bus.. Program files, my docs, roaming files.. EVERYTHING!!

Restart the comp..

Reinstall original v 1.10 of 318/319

Restart when prompted

Apply everything in hotfix 1.12c except for fmgs.dll leaving the original build version from 10/16/2014 installed

Restart comp

Start p3d and load up any bus.

Let everything initialize and sit for a few min then shut it all down.

No hangs, no ctds, no errors in the event viewer

Im getting pretty decent frames on top of it averaging VC frames of 28-31 at default airports and 20-25 at FSDT/FlightBeam airports.

I am more than happy with those frames since my system is on the lower end.

Havent had a chance to get to a runway to see if there is an issue with the RAAS or if there are frames hits while flying but that will come shortly.

In most cases when I shutdown FSX with Airbus running, FSX reports a crash. When I look at the details, FMGS.dll_unloaded is the cause. It is as though this DLL is not shutting down correctly. Only in few cases when the aircraft is fully shutdown (cold and dark) does FSX close correctly. The same crash can occur when changing between Airbus types.
