Holmes 0
Hello, fantastic aircraft but since today I have been getting into 10 minutes of my flight, then FSX freezes and "FSX has stopped working" pops up. Before today FSX has been very stable for me. This is very strange as no other aircraft (tested the default cessna and the NGX) causes this. It seems to have started since I updated to 1.15 with the hotfix. I've done all the usual install as admin and reinstalls etc but to no avail. Can someone help me sort this out, I'm probably missing something obvious! The event log is below. gandy 25
Here is a thred to read about someone who had a similar problem to you and fixed it with the uiautomationcore.dll fix in the root fsx folder. http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/63535-please-aerosoft-do-something-about-ctds-sos/ if you already have the uiautomationcore.dll in the fsx root folder can you post what one you have as there is two versions and one of them works for some and the other works for the rest. I have to use version 6.0.6001.18000 as the other ones i still get the odd ctd, the other version is 6.0.5840.16386
Jude 190
A BEX crash usually requires the uiautomationcore files to be installed in the root location of FSX. Follow this advise from NickN http://www.simforums.com/forums/the-fsx-computer-system-the-bible-by-nickn_topic46211.html 1. Download BOTH of the files presented below. v18000: http://gex.flight1.net/forumimages/FSX_WINDOWS_TUNING/UIAutomationCore_v18000.zip v16386: http://gex.flight1.net/forumimages/FSX_WINDOWS_TUNING/UIAutomationCore_v16386.zip 2. Unzip them both. Each file will be in a folder with the version number. 3. Starting with the original file: v6.0.6001. 18000 drop it into the FSX install directory 4. Run FSX. If your menu crashes are fixed and you are not seeing any other issues leave that file alone, you are finished. 5. IF your menu crashes are not fixed OR you happen to see other issues come up and suspect the file MAY BE the cause, then drop the v6.0.5840. 16386 version file into the FSX install directory and recheck. If your issue is not solved, OR, the FSX menu crashes return then use the v6.0.6001. 18000 file
Holmes 0
Thanks both but have tried both versions of the file plus without and the same crash happens. It's very strange as no other aircraft (default or complex) causes this CTD. I've read somewhere thE UIautomationcore file does not work with Win 8. Any other ideas as I'm missing being able to fly the best version of airbus out there.
Holmes 0
Does anyone have a solution to this or having the same problem. I've done extensive testing and it is just the airbus that is causing this CTD. It is making it completely unflyable and meaning I cannot use this add on. Any help gratefully received... Jude 190
1) Are you running FSX as Administrator? 2) Not recommend to install FSX in the programfiles path - use D:\FSX instead 3) Did you try the uiautomationcore.dll in the FSX folder location? DO NOT register the file, just save it in the FSX folder. My experience with Windows 8 suggests that it is necessary to have this file.
wildbillkelsoe 3
CTD on win 7 basic while cruising near VADOV (tutorial). Vrs superbug and a2a cessna installed only. Could they be the cause? Jude 190
For all crashes, check Windows event viewer (eventvwr.exe) Expand Windows Logs=> Application. Any errors will have a white ! in a red circle. Double-click,and more details will show.
Holmes 0
Well, I've tried everything and still not working. This is the only add on I am getting this CTD. Very frustrating. The longest I can go is 10 mins into the flight then FSX crashes. No problems with any other add on including high end ones...
Holmes 0
I have kept trying to make this work, with no joy. Airbus will load and I can normally get into the air. About 10 mins into the flight (varies) FSX freezes and the message "FSX has stopped working pops up", then the sim crashes. I always install / use FSX as admin. I have v1.16 with the hotfix, I have tried with and without the uiautomation.dll files, I have tried different areas of the world to ensure it is not a scenery issue and I have tried loading a default aircraft before switching to the airbus at the airport. There is no clue in the crash log as to what is going wrong. But what I can say is that no other add aircraft is crashing FSX (including complex ones) and I normally have a very stable simulation. It is very very frustrating as I think this is an excellent add on (it worked prior to v1.15). Can no one shed any light on what is wrong otherwise I will have to give up....and uninstall. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Deputy Sheriffs mopperle 4162 Posted November 16, 2013 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted November 16, 2013 That's odd, as the faulting module name is unknown. Please check under Start/Control Panel/Programs, which MS Visual C++ libraries are installed. There should be at least 2008 and 2010 in both versions, x86 and x64.
